Elizabeth Arden will launch 5th Avenue Gold, a new limited edition flanker to 1996's 5th Avenue fragrance for women.
5th Avenue Gold was developed by perfumer Olivier Gillotin (who also created 5th Avenue After Five); notes include bergamot, mandarin, muguet, linden blossom, magnolia, pink guava, jasmine, rose, iris and musk.
Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue Gold will be available in 125 ml Eau de Parfum. (via moodiereport)
Japanese beauty brand Annayake will launch Annayake Pour Elle Light, a new variation on 2000's Annayake Pour Elle, this month.
The fresh floral with aquatic accents includes notes of lemon, bergamot, fig, rose, violet, lily of the valley, jasmine, water lily, gaiac wood, sandalwood, amber and musk.
Annayake Pour Elle Light will be available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via cosmoty.de, vogue.fr)
Didn’t like Annayake pour Elle, I found it too harsh. This light one I will avoid, as of the aquatic notes.
The notes of Elizabeth Arden seem to be nice, but I haven’t tried any of EA perfumes. Doesn’t sound like a sweet fruity floral.
I have tried 5th Avenue, but sorry to say it was several years ago and I can’t remember a single thing about it.
I’ve never tried that EA. I’m loving the gold bottle, so pretty!
As I said above, I can’t remember the original — but that bottle is pretty!
I wore Red Door in high school, and lots of it, and that was enough to put me off EA for life. I did sniff 5th Avenue and my thought at the time was that it was pretty generic. I don’t see this flanker being any better, but may they prove me wrong.
Oh, I still like all my high school scents!
I was a pretty big fan of 5th Avenue back in the day, which means I may have bought a replacement bottle when the first one ran out. In spite of that, my only recollection is that it’s a pretty standard floral.
Maybe you’d love this new one for old times sake? Or not, LOL…
When I first sniffed 5th Avenue, I thought “This would be perfect for my Mom,” and indeed it is. She likes it and it smells wonderful on her. I might be tempted by the “Gold” version – it sounds interesting and will be affordable.
Worth checking out then!
AHHHHH…. “5th Avenue” By Elizabeth Arden! A Lost Masterpiece of Perfumery! One of my Absolute VERY Favorite Fragrances from the Mid-90’s! It is FANTASTIC Smelling… Rich (in both senses of the word), Floral, Sophisticated but Youthful as well and Just Undeniably GORGEOUS! should still be sold on the open market really… it has a Luminous GOLDNESS to it, so i can see why they put a version of it in a Gold Bottle… if you can find a bottle of this anywhere, pick it up, will be well worth the money!
Thanks!
I can say that on my first fragrance online shopping actions one of the first perfumes to buy for my fiance (next time also for my mother) was Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue.
Nice and delicate perfume for its money, I can recommend for a day-by-day usage.
Off-topic: I bought also Blue Grass once but it cannot be compared with 5th Avenue, having a stronger smell.
I know I’ve tried Blue Grass but it’s been years…can’t remember it at all.
the bottle reminds me of paco rabanne 1 million —-> woman version… maybe the gold idea… and i have to agree with the best perfume for “MOM”, and i think i should buy one for my mom (mother’s day gift~) 🙂
Sounds like a good gift!
