I have purchased Eternity Summer in the past and loved it. Mind you I am partial to aquatics especially in the summer. I might have to peruse the fragrance counter for this.

When I was maybe 13 and more succeptible to cute packaging, I bought a bottle of ckin2u. I am proud to say that even though I was young, I knew what was up. Couldn’t stand the juice. Returned it within a week!

It is not a favorite of mine. Still like CK One though!

Q: Do companies really change the scent of the juice each year for all these summer editions? Or do they just tweak the color of the bottle and release marketing materials that call out a different set of fragrance notes – and pray we don’t notice that it’s the same darned thing they foisted upon us last year?

They do usually tweak the juice for these summer editions. I doubt they spend millions on develoment though ;-)

The summer Eternities for men tend to actually be pretty nice. I have the 2008 edition and really enjoy it.

I live in the Great White North (Canada) so finding special editions are always troublesome. The one thing about Eternity Summer is on me it didn’t last and I finished the 100 ml bottle in the summer.

I don’t know…they did one last year, but if there’s one this year I haven’t seen it yet.

I’ve enjoyed some of the Summer Eternities, which is odd since I wasn’t a big fan of the original. They’re usually worth a try anyway. Sometimes, you just want to wear a scent your office mates have heard of….

I’ve owned two bottles of Eternity Summer, the 2007 and 2008 versions I think. I’d not smelled much of a difference between those two, but this year’s purple bottle made me do a double-check.

It does smell slightly different to the scent I have at home, but it’s still got that light yet sweet yet fresh (paradox, anyone?). I don’t know much about perfume apart from what my nose tells me (and my nose generally says “nice” or “eww”, so it’s not too sophisticated), but I really like these summer ones. The original Eternity, funnily enough, does nothing for me. Doesn’t even seem related to this one, to my nose!

I didn’t do a very good job describing, but I’d say, if anyone liked previous versions of Eternity Summer (can’t confirm last year’s, but I owned both 2007 and 2008), they’ll like this. It’s slightly sweeter, but not heavy at all, it remains light. I might go back for another whiff this week to do a better job. (It’s already in stores here in the Netherlands.)

I will buy this, but I’m planning to wait until September, and hopefully score a discount…

You’re right. It has nothing to do with the original. I like this one, but not the original. However, it reminds me of Dior J’Adore but lighter.
Did you look at Kruidvat for the scent?
