I bought the CKOne Summer last year at Marshall’s for $20 and I like it. It sure doesn’t last that long though – it’s pleasant enough when the temp is hovering around 100 degree, especially if you keep it in the fridge. I’m guessing that I don’t need another one – and the watermelon scares me.

I like the sound of the Donna Karan – but I don’t know how many summer flankers one person needs.

hey, she works around children—-smelling like a jolly rancher could be hazardous to her health!!
I can see the headlines now: “Jolly Rancher scented Teacher mauled by children…..”

I *did* get mauled whilst wearing Pink Sugar one time – my whole class of 1st graders lined up to sniff my wrist once they realized that I was what “smelled like cookies”. The classroom assistant laughed so hard that she had tears running down her face and all I could think was that it was probably about time for the principal or superintendent to wander by and demand an explanation.

Hilarious! Of course, my kid would have tried to lick your arm.

I like the original CK One for summer…do love many of the LE summer bottles though. And have to admit I haven’t tried many of them. A few were supposed to be great, but of course I can’t remember which years.

I don’t even think that I know which year I have – I bought it this summer, but I also bought it at Marshalls – so who knows? I think it’s blue – I might have to dig it out when I get home and see if I can figure it out.

          Might have been 2008:

2009 was blue on the bottom, yellow on the top:

Hmmm… 2008 looks like I think mine looks (I’ll have to check it to be sure) and it also says that it has watermelon in it. I don’t remember smelling watermelon, so it must be light or something. Or I’ll spritz it next time and that will be *all* I can smell.

I had a 2007 edition which was in a Rainbow colored bottle. I really enjoyed it. :-)

I think the best CK One Summer was the one released in 2005 same color of the bottle that they are releasing right now but a little lighter.

    tried this today

like Franz said, similar bottle to ’05. but instead of being frosted, it’s entirely clear (well, orange-clear haha)

it striked me as very… ‘manly’ smelling. could be the Melon/Calone that sits in top of it, together with a rather cold smelling musk underneath it.

it smells very ‘cool’ and will no doubt sell well.

but for me, fruity notes are best in a gourmand. or, warm musk, as in Bulgari’s ‘The Blanc’.

fruits out of a fridge lack in aroma ;)
