I want to send EL a copyeditor for Xmas. I’m sure it took a (highly paid?) marketing team to decide that “Rosebloom” (a word?) was more effective than “rose.” I’m also baffled when sometimes notes are capitalized (Raspberry) like proper names. [/rant]

Notes are capitalized more often than not…it’s a mystery to me too. Rosebloom is just silly!

Haha, I actually translate nonsense like this for a living! This particular ad copy hasn’t reached me yet, but when it does, what do I do with “Rosebloom” and “cool fresh air accord”?! These PR people must really hate us translators.

Sounds too light and airy for me. I’m sure it will sell well (I don’t think I’ve tried any of the WLs) but it’s just something I really don’t want to wear especially this time of year. Maybe on a really humid summer day…

I assume this is meant for spring, and is just out early?

“Cool fresh air accord”? I guess it offsets the Snow-White Flowers and Raspberry. They must hold the bottle out the window for that.

Well…it sounds pretty okay. But oh so boring. don’t we have enoguh of those scents already? I am sad that they don’t make White Linen Breeze anymore…why do they have to make flankers all the time =(

I’m not a fan personally of any of the White Linens, but in general I thought they were all pretty well done, no?

They are. I am not a fan of the either. I think they remind me to much of washing powder…haha..I’m more into darker scents.

Yes, I agree. There are very few fragrances that I buy again and again and WLB was one of them Loved it! I did buy Pure White Linen Light Breeze and it is nice but not as good as WLB. And TwoPeasinaPod: you’re right and a riot!

I actually love Pure White Linen Light Breeze – but I’ve never tried the original (not White Linen, the original PWLB). It’s one of the only “clean” scents that I really enjoy on certain occasions – like when it’s over 100 degrees for 20 days straight.

I’ll probably give this a sniff – I generally like EL frags and they’re having a pretty good GWP at Dillard’s right now. I’m such a sucker for EL’s GWP – it’s when I buy stuff from them.

There was no PWLB, Cynthia. PeasinaPod got it right. It was White Linen and White Linen Breeze in the beginning. Then years later came Pure White Linen, Pure White Linen Light Breeze and Pure White Linen Pink Coral. Gawd!

WL must be in the running for most flankers ever. WL, WLB, WLPWL, WLPWLLB, WLPWLPC, and now WLPWLEDT

I guess full bodied would not be the adjective used to describe this one.

This sounds both silly (“Rosebloom” indeed) and unnecessary, but then, I think all the White Linen flankers were inferior to the original, which is pure Sophia Grojsman genius.

Sorry to say I did not love White Linen, genius though it may be.
