I’m in the mood for love

French actress and singer Arielle Dombasle for La Prairie's Life Threads Gold. This is more of a conventional commercial than the "story" video I posted earlier.

    I find this rather alarming.

Well, at least the video wasn’t as bad the previous one. If only her voice was a little deeper.I remember seeing her in a lot of made-for-tv movies back in the 80’s and she seems to have worn her age well.

This one is fine…not terribly exciting, but not cringe-worthy either.

      You’re right! She doesn’t really look 50

Hmmm … don’t mind this one too much, though agree with Dolly that a deeper voice would be good. For a line about Life, the colours are pretty dead to me. I like the car and the spraying of perfume inside the car scenes though. Man on motorbike was a bit superfluous.

But ‘man on motorbike’ was probably their whole point 😉

Wow – then I really missed the point of that ad, didn’t I? 🙂

LOL…that it makes you irresistible to men is ALWAYS the point, I think! That seems to be how they all sell perfume.

They aren’t selling to me then … I never consider my men or what they might think when I am selling my perfume. That must be why I thought he and his motorbike were a waste of space! LOL!

Oops! Butterfingers! I meant ‘selecting’ not ‘selling’

It’s not how I select my perfume either!

I ride a motorcycle, and that sort-of passing on the right is terribly dangerous, and grabbing that long scarf is another idiot move. . . oh, this was about the perfume. Oh. Well, Ummmm, nah, not interested.

I do see your point, but yeah, safety not what they’re interested in 🙂

I like it! I think it would have been more romantic, though, if she’d have been portrayed as someone random, rather than a famous person.

It’s nice to see a woman who’s a lot older but in no way less attractive than some of these usual models being used. And she’s the one who makes her own signature scent from a mix of Chanel Cuir de Russie, white musk (no brand) and Clinique Aromatics Elixir. Very cool!

Oh, that is not a shy mix of scents — cool!
