Posted by Robin on 27 February 2009 20 Comments

Sisley Eau de Sisley 1, 2 and 3

Sisley will launch the Eau de Sisley trio this coming April. The new fragrances are designed to appeal to a "modern and youthful audience".

Eau de Sisley 1 is a citrus floral with notes of green mandarin, grapefruit, pink berries, spice, jasmine water, green tea, juniper berries, patchouli and musk.

Eau de Sisley 2 is a refreshing fragrance with cardamom, bergamot, basil, water iris, Egyptian jasmine, cyclamen, rose, patchouli, vetiver, cedar and sandalwood.

Eau de Sisley 3 is a spicy fragrance, and features citrus, bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit, lemon, red ginger, osmanthus, patchouli, vetiver, benzoin, vanilla and musk.

Sisley Eau de Sisley 1, 2 and 3 will be available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette ($165). (quote via cosmeticworld, additional information via cosmeticnews)

Oh dear – I'll be forced to choose and all sound interesting. Maybe a bottle split with a new and dear friend….

These do sound really nice! But unless they're masterpieces, not likely I'll be willing to cough up that much $.

sisley tends to be rather expensive, but both soir de lune and eau de soir are worth the cash (i don't know about eau de campagne though).

looking forward to the new ones!

I adore Eau de Campagne! Luckily it is not quite as expensive as these, or at least, not if you find the 50 ml at discount.

I haven't liked almost anything lately. But these three interest me a LOT. I like all three Sisleys to the extent I'm still not over the bad reviews in The Guide for Eau du Soir and Soir de Lune, plus unable to understand why Eau de Campgne, the lovely Jean-Claud Ellena creation (isn't it his?), is not reviewed. I can't wait to try these three…

I can't believe I've never reviewed it! I will try to get to it this spring. I do worry though that eventually I'll have reviewed everything old that I like & will be stuck with just reviewing new things all of the time. (and yes, it's by JCE)

Is this pronounced siss-lee or size-ly?

I don't have much hope finding a new spring and/or summer scent unless one of these three works! If they don't -it's Bronze Goddess and Mugler Cologne all summer long again! I really have my hopes high on these, but am a bit afraid of the triple launch since they do not tend to come out so well… But if one of these works I'm completely happy. It would be wonderful to have a new delicious Sisley AND to a have 3 new Sisleys to talk about.

Sort of amazed at how many trios we're seeing this year! But heavens, surely these aren't your only hope, with all the new stuff coming out this year? For that matter, if someone asked me where to find a cool trio of summery colognes, I'd send them off to check out last year's Diptyque cologne trio.

I have just tried Eau de Sisley 2 – lots of citrus and bergamot to begin with – but with a soft jasmine warming through all the green and gold after a while. It reminds me of AG Eau de Hadrien, but far better staying-power – impressive for a cologne! But at ÂŁ90 on the high street…

I tried all 3 briefly last weekend…we’re opposites, I thought all 3 were really nicely done, but I loved #1 & #3, didn’t care so much about #2. But the price!!!! In the US, they’re $160. I don’t think so.

Oh my, I was given a sample of 3, and it is WONDERFUL. I have been sniffing my wrist for about 5 or 6 hours now and this is one I absolutely have to have. I haven’t sniffed the other two, but I will. It is a bit expensive, isn’t it?

Robin, me, too. It runs 110 euro here, and honestly, for 100 ml, that isn’t horrible. It is one of the few fragrances that even my husband said, “that is really nice. Very special.” Have you sniffed them yet?

I did. Still think they’re a bit much…$160 USD is a lot for what is essentially a really nice summer cologne. I would have priced them at about $60-$75.

I just received #3 and must say, it is BEAUTIFUL. This is a great warm weather fragrance and at $165 a bottle i think i made the right choice. Its not overly spicy, just right, the citrus , mandarin and patchouli etc, mingled with the musk and vanille is a beautiful combination and lovely to wear.
