The answer my friend…

A video spot for Kenzo Air (just because it came up several times in the comments yesterday) starring actor Vincent Martinez and model Katy Braitman. Martinez is singing Bob Dylan's classic, Blowing in the Wind.

this was just dumb. I don't get it. Okay, it's windy but what does that have to do with the scent? Also, as beautiful as Katy Braitman is, you would have thought she would get more rest before filming this ad. She looks EXHAUSTED (raccoon eyes); unless of course she fell off that pile of rocks and got a basal skull fracture. sorry for my cynicism.

Oh, sorry you hated it — I love it! Kenzo's ads always avoid the hard sell — such a refreshing change from most fragrance advertising. But you never need apologize for cynicism 🙂

I didn't hate it, it was just too dirty/gritty for me. I do see your point, though. I should probably try to appreciate the artistic value. I'll pay more attention to Kenzo ads in the future.

    Thanks for the enlightenment!

Sigh, what gorgeous young creatures they are, those two. That cheered me up at work – thanks R!

They've done some really lovely spots for Flower, and I liked the ad they did for Kenzo Tokyo too. But all of them are sort of like this though.

I just Youtubed Flower and Tokyo. The Flower one is just gorgeous. I totally understand it, and love that image of the woman walking into flowery waters. The Tokyo one is good too, and I get the city's reference as well. Thank you for exposing me to these. Again, I still don't get the Air one. I think, like aforementioned, it's just too dirty for me; although I wouldn't call myself a prude!

Ah well, you needn't love them all, right? They do a really nice job on their print ads, too.

    I love this commercial!

So poetic! However, never seen on air in Belgium.

    Thanks for sharing!
