Thanks for more great gift ideas!
It looks like there is one perfume missing from you list in the Pacifica liquid set. I believe it is Waikiki Pikake. I have the candle, which smells very nice. Hawaiian floral.
The notes set looks interesting. Will look at that further later today.
Thanks — I didn't notice, and you're right, one is missing. It isn't listed on the Pacifica site so I'll have to assume it's the Pikake. I should also have noted that they've got another set with Mexican Cocoa, Avalon Juniper, Sandalwood, Tibetan Mountain Temple and Spanish Amber, same price.
The perfumery kit looks like a fun gift (for me anyway). It's a sort of modern-day chemistry kit (as a child I always asked for those!).
Pacifica has great deals as always!
Lots of people on MakeupAlley ordered that kit & people seemed to be very happy with it…
Yep! And such nice packaging.
A greater deal yet…through today, if you go to Pacifica's website, everything is 20% off. Nice!
Oh, please stop! I am going to resist temptation, but I'd love that perfumery notes kit.
Those Pacificas look seriously CUTE packaged like that. Note that they also have a Candle set for $50 and Soap set for $40 — also, for those not into the fruit-floral range (which I'm not), they're also offering the sprays/solids with several from their wood-spice line. Also, 20% off through today on their site, and free shipping for orders over $50. Hmm… who can I still buy for?
Yay, thanks for the tip!
I try to resist loving the guava scent, but it gets me every time.
I have almost ordered that kit a couple times, but for the moment I'd rather not recognize any more aromachemicals than I already do (not many). I find it sort of disconcerting.
Pacifica really is a great resource for not-too-expensive gifts — I could have done a whole post just from their site.
Where were the reviews on MakeupAlley? I used every search term I could think of and I couldn't find them at all.
I am very tempted to order one of the Perfumer's Apprentice sets for myself as a sort of Xmas gift, I have to say.
Maybe it never got reviewed, but try some board searches…for awhile, they were doing a “note a day” program where everyone tried the next note in the kit.
pyramus, Perfume Shrine does note series, such as incense, leather, jasmine, chypre, etc….. is that what you're looking for?
