Perfumer Dominique Ropion has won Cosmetic Valley's International Fragrance Prize (formerly the Prix François Coty) for 2008.

The prize honors achievements in the field of perfumery; recent winners include Christine Nagel (2007), Lorenzo Villoresi (2006), and Sophie Labbé (2005).

Jean Paul Guerlain was also awarded a "Grand Prix d'Honneur" at the prize ceremony on November 5. (via fr.fashionmag, cosmetic-valley)
