Versace Gianni Versace Couture will be available in very limited distribution, and will be $2100 for 100 ml, concentration unknown, in a white leather bottle inside a hand-stitched white leather train case. Yikes! I loved the look of the white train case, but I'm thinking for that price I could get a large leather train case, and fill it with MANY beautiful bottles of perfume. The prices of a lot of these ultra-niche launches are getting ridiculously out of hand, and are really out of step with our current economic disaster. I suppose this would be a great buy for today's Marie Antoinette. What gets me is that at these prices, the chances of receiving a sample anywhere are nil, so it would have to be a blind buy to boot!

Guessing they'll sell their 100 cases, why not? There are people who love this sort of thing.

$2,100 per bottle? Yikes! Very pricey….

If we take Kevin's formula from his article “Perfume For Life”. The cost per squirt for a 100 ml bottle would be 1.42! 😛

The notes make it sound a bit — yawn — conventional for a juice this extravagantly priced. Sigh. I guess I'll never smell it anyway, so it's all academic. . .

It really doesn't sound all that appealing, does it? I give it a big whatever.

Sounds Pretty Enough by the notes… seems nothing earth shattering or MUST SMELL, but Love, Love, LOVE the White Leather Studded Bottle and the Accompanying Train Case, SO CHIC! It probably smells a lot more LUXE than it sounds, so i would love to give it a whiff but no big whoop if i never get to see it or smell it! i am sure if it sells well enough The Versace Company will give it a wider less Limited Release.

well seriously, I read with-in the last three days those almost same notes, and it was reasonable. Eooow, I wish I could remember.

    I suppose there aren't any smples…$100.00 for 1/32 ml.

It would have to do more than just be perfume. It would have to: rub my back.Tell me about all my good qualities on end. Pay my bills. Make me purrr like a kitten from the sex, and get 60 mpg.

Now I don't feel so bad about wanting Guerlain's Cruel Gardenia at $230.00

You must find a sample on the black market or something Robin.

How will we know what the epitome of scent is? Or will you turn to a life of crime after smelling it.

    Ah Ha! That's why it's white-it's the cocaine of perfumes. ;- D

    wow,

    Becca

Seriously, I don't even much care if I ever smell it. These luxe projects turn me off.
