Christina Aguilera Inspire ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 27 May 2008 15 Comments

Christina Aguilera Inspire fragranceChristina Aguilera's second fragrance under arrangements with Procter & Gamble, and her first to be marketed in the United States, will be Inspire, due to launch this September:

The new effort is meant to provide "a modern take on the Pop Art era," the influence that Warhol had on the period combined with the image of Tokyo, particularly "the energy and excitement and how the whole city feels and comes alive at night," she said.

Christina Aguilera Inspire will be a tuberose-focused white floral; according to a P&G spokesperson, Aguilera "loves tuberose fragrances but they tend to be a bit heavy so we kept working on it to make it more young". Additional notes include mango, citrus, freesia, rose, gardenia, orange blossom, sandalwood and musks.

Christina Aguilera Inspire will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products. (via wwd) Update: see a review of Christina Aguilera Inspire.

Can't be 3rd…she had at least 2 before the P&G deal…so it's either 4th or 5th or more! But, don't think any of the earlier scents were officially distributed in the US either.

Tuberose and Orange blossoms sounds yummy, but I dunno about the rest…

    This is her 5th perfume.

    She's had X-Pose Glamour, X-Pose Desire, X-Pose Passion & 2 self named ones (1 had a dark green bottle & then there's her successful lace patterned 1).

I don't think the first 4 fragrances were given a general release anywhere. They crop up on Ebay UK from time to time

'Inspire' sounds more interesting then her previous ones.

I'm not sure about the bottle…it reminds me a biit of the cancan one though. I've got high expectations for the perfume itself as her last one was so nice!

It smells generic….its not bad just smells like any other tuberose….Yes, the bottle is horrible!!!!! it seems like nothing connects with this fragrance the add says bubble-gum pop, the fragrance is a white floral but its inspired by Tokyo and Andy yet she is a Monroe wannabe????? I'm confused….

That's two against — not a good sign! I didn't know it was out yet.

I have to admit that love the bottle. It is very similar to CanCan, but it strikes the right balance between classic femininity & modern pop art.

Plus; I've seen the packaging & I love that too. I'm nearly there; if only the actual fragrance is appealing…

I haven't seen the bottle in person yet, and I think it's already out in soft launch somewhere but haven't smelled it yet.

I actually really liked this. But, I think I'm a sucker for Tuberose, so…. yeah. But, I don't get where the Tokyo comes from lol.
