L'Occitane Cherry (Cerisier) ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 17 April 2008 10 Comments

LOccitane Cherry perfumeL'Occitane has launched Cherry (Cerisier), a new limited edition fragrance. Cherry is a variation on last year's Cherry Blossom:

A deliciously summery Eau de Toilette that reinterprets the freshness of our Cherry Blossom perfume, enveloping the skin with fruity, sparkling, and tangy essences. A perfume that recalls carefree summer afternoons spent in the orchard, and the memory of an armful of sun-drenched petals infused with the sweet flavor of juicy, colorful fruit.

The notes include raspberry, pink pepper, cherry, peony, rosewood and cherry extract.

L'Occitane Cherry is $44 for 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via usa.loccitane)

Other recent launches from L'Occitane: Feu d'Orange.

I saw it online earlier in the week and didn't even understand it was a new fragrance — thought they'd just re-released last year's Cherry Blossom.

The bottle and the color are so similar that at first I believed that it was Cherry Blossom and wondered why it was presented as a new scent… now I know that it is Cherry (Tree??)

I liked Cherry Blossom and maybe the new one as well, but I think that the perfumes by L'Occitane are too expensive.

They are not the bargains they used to be, it is true, and they don't seem to do the little 15 ml travel sizes very often anymore :-(

I will try this! I really didn't like their cherry blossom, but this could be good!

I could swear you had written about this already recently, then realized it was the launch of the Body Shop Cherry Blossom not long ago — such similar packaging:

I would not be a fan of this cherry concoction, but I enjoyed testing Feu d'Orange the other day — until something bothered me in the far drydown. I still may snare a bottle since I'm a big fan of L'Occitane and I actually consider them cheap thrills even though they don't do as many of the 15-20ml as they used to, which really is a pity.

Yep, and the 2 (!) recent BBW cherry blossom thingies.

I didn't like Feu d'Orange nearly as well as Ruban d'Orange — too musky & flat in the drydown for me.

I could always go and ask for the travel sizes. But can imagine that these small sizes are not very profitable.

That is the nice thing about Yves Rocher (just opposite of Loccitane in the mall I mean)…for they sell so many of their fragrances in the very small sizes.

They had some smaller travel sizes here too, but they sold out and then all they had were the larger bottles. I found the NFs overpriced for what they were anyway.
