L'Occitane Fleurs de Cerisier / Cherry Blossom perfume

This month, L'Occitane launches their latest fragrance, Cherry Blossom (Fleurs de Cerisier):

Feminine spring blossoms to inspire poets. A soft, fresh and floral fragrance.

The notes feature cherry, freesia, blackcurrant, cherry blossom, lily of the valley, rosewood, amber and musk.

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom will be available in Eau de Toilette, Solid Perfume, Bath & Shower Gel, Lip Gloss, Perfumed Body Powder, Shimmering Lotion, Lip Gloss, Home Perfume and Floating Candles. (via loccitane)

Purchase the Eau de Toilette and Shimmering Lotion at a L'Occitane store between 4/25 and 5/15, and get a free lip gloss. Thanks to Jessica for the tip!

My GF is a lip gloss fiend and will try anything that comes out. No surprise then that she loved CB, bought it, pondered a bit on the EdT but finally decided on the solid perfume. I'm not usually fond of soliflores, but CB is a nice, sparkly springtime FF scent that thankfully manages to steer away from the general cupcake trend. Not the most complex scent though, I'm afraid. How did you like it, R?

    P.S. The bottle is lovely!

Haven't been to the mall in a few weeks so haven't tried it yet — but I will! I like the bottle too.

I am anxiously waiting to try this one (it will not be released for another few weeks in Canada). Can't wait to give it a go, as the notes sound very pleasant. Happily there is no citrus or green tea, which alway seems to overpower the Guerlain versions of cherry blossom.

I spoke to a L'Occitane SA who said this will be a permanent addition to their fragrance line and not ltd. edition, so good news for those that wind up liking it!

Guessing they'll have gift sets, as they did with Ruban d'Orange so buying the whole line might not be too expensive 🙂

See, I'd rather have some tea…in fact, a cherry blossom along the lines of Hermes Osmanthe Yunnan might be exactly what I need.

But adding…didn't like the few Guerlain CBs I have tried…

Is there a place here to ask random questions?

I will be in Japan this September. Is there parfum worth searching for there or do they get new releases earlier?

Sorry for the non sequitur…the only connection I of could think of was the cherry blossom….

this fragrance is really great!! It was made by jerome epinette, a young robertet perfumer. He made Ruban d'orange and citrus verbena from l'occitane and many more….

Sorry for the slow reply — I somehow missed your comment.

There are lots of things you can get in Japan that you can't get here, and I'm afraid I probably don't even know what they are. Shiseido releases a number of scents in Asia that don't make it to the US, and there are also many Asia-only exclusives from other brands. You might want to ask the same question on Marlen's blog, perfumecritic.com, as he used to live in Japan.
