After reading your last TJ Maxx report I was looking forward to going but since it is about 45 minutes away from me I thought when will I ever get the chance! Especially with two little ones at home. Well this past weekend I finally went and I saw Christian Lacroix Tumulte Pour Homme and Pour Femme for $9.99 each so I bought both for that price! The Femme smells familiar to me kind of like Van Cleef and Arpels Birmane if I am remembering correctly. The Homme smells a bit masculine for my taste but I will have to try it.

Do try the Homme, I like it way better than the Femme. If it is too masculine for you, betting you could find something floral to layer over it!

Got the Homme cheap at Marshall's and love it. Not too masculine at all and even if the incensey, cedary thing is derivative, it is soo the right price.

Ok, just got back from my lunch hour spent at TJM. After 1/2 an hour I think the sales lady thought I was crazy, shoplifting or both! LOL! I sniffed EVERYTHING! Our selection isn't quite what you listed, but I didn't go in with high hopes (I haven't set foot in that store in probably 8 yrs). Your once loved Coriandre (sp?) was there, but I think it had turned – had to scrub when I got back to the office, I'll not judge it by that bottle. I ended up buying Cynthia Rowley's perfume which is like honeysuckle tea and very nice on this rainy afternoon. For $12, why not? I carried around Christian Lacroix Tumulte Homme for a long time trying to decide, I'll probably go back for it – I loved the cedar and feel a lingering leather underneath it. yum. I tried some things I've always been curious about like Cabotine (too heavy on the lillies for me, I had hoped for more green) and Tea Rose (which smelled just like tea roses, go figure). I also bought a hand soap called pea pods that has a very clean fresh cut green scent – wish they'd had room spray!

An hour well spent! Thanks for the incentive!

2scents, agree on the Homme, and for that matter, I'd pay more than the $14.99 I shelled out!

LOL — when I go, I whip out a pen & paper to take notes on what I see, so you KNOW the SAs think I'm insane! Cynthia Rowley is a decent find, congrats!

I wore the Tumulte Homme today and I think at first spray it is masculine to me but drys down to a nice warm cedar which I think is great for winter.

Was just at Winners (the Canadian TJ Maxx) in the tony Bloor West shopping district of Toronto, and saw Creed Fantaisia de Fleurs, Hanae Mori, Hermes 24, Faubourg EDT, and Shalimar (one of the light versions – possibly EDC?).

Creed at TJ Maxx, wow! That's quite a find.
