Coming next February, debut fragrances from "vintage tattoo wear" line Ed Hardy.
Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier for women (shown) is a fruity floral with notes of apple soufflé, mango, wild strawberry, rudy red grapefruit, freesia petals, watery muguet, linden blossom, warm amber, musk, tonka bean and vanilla pudding. The Eau de Parfum will be available in 50 and 100 ml.
Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier for men is a woody floral featuring bergamot, mandarin, clary sage, thuja, mint julep accord with ozone, musk, sequoia forest and amber. The packaging for the men's fragrance "shows an open-mouthed tiger on a black background". I'll update with the concentration and sizes when I can find them.
The Ed Hardy fragrances were created by perfumers Caroline Sabas and Olivier Gillotin. (quote via cosmeticnews, additional information via perfumerflavorist).
Update: see a review of Ed Hardy Woman and a review of Ed Hardy Man. Ed Hardy Man is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.
Givenchy has launched a new Parfum version of last year's Ange ou Démon fragrance:
The clear, jewel-cut flacon, inspired by the most lavish chandelier designs and decorated with falling drops of crystals, houses a more intense juice. By enhancing the base note of patchouli and by using a higher concentration of fragrance, Givenchy has created a masterpiece that is meant to be applied to the skin for an unrivaled sensuous fragrance experience.
Givenchy Ange ou Démon Perfume Extract is $150 for 30 ml at Nordstrom.
“Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier for women is a fruity floral”… How unique? They don't make fruity florals that much like they used!
LOL!!!
God, can they ever stop is more like it!
I do think maybe the fruity floral thing is at least slowing down, and that is all we can hope for at this point. In this case, am guessing a fruity floral will be a pretty good match w/ their target market.
hmm. have to love a note of 'vanilla pudding.' i mean love in a 'hate' kind of way!
The notes aren't appealing to me at all, but then, I don't think I'm their target audience 🙂
To be blunt, the idea of “apple souffle” made me choke a little.
Ed Hardy? Cool! I'll have to try this when it comes out!
Apple is about my least favorite notes in perfume, so with you on that.
I'm intruigued by the 'rudy red grapefruit'. Sounds a cheeky little note. Actually, the only way they could have put together notes more loathsome to me ('vanilla pudding'?) would have been to add a smidge of melon or cucumber.
LOL — I didn't even notice that! But don't despair, there might be some melon in there somewhere 🙂
Well, while we're in “cheeky” mode, I'm wondering about the Givenchy, which is “meant to be applied to the skin” – geez, who woulda thunk it?
LOL — another one I didn't even notice!
Hey Honestly I get it, this is a category that is begging to be put to rest BUT I have to say, category aside this is one of the best fragrances I have smelled in recent months and probably the best in this category!! It is extremely well balanced very refined and still maintains a commerciality ( not a bad word here ) and edgyness. Simply put this is one that is worth it.
I still haven't seen or tried them — which one did you love, the Him or the Her?
The womens scent is what I was referring to. It's great. The mens is ok but nothing special.
Thanks!
