Le Parfum d’Interdits Absolument Homme, Oscar de la Renta Oscar Red Orchid~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 6 June 2007 6 Comments

Absolument Homme fragranceLe Parfum d'Interdits has launched a new fragrance for men, Absolument Homme:

Following the success of the revolutionary perfume Absolument Absinthe, Pascal Rolland has brought back to life the tradition of la haute parfumerie: a sublime blending of noble ingredients composed from rare essences. Absolument Homme’s unique bottle evokes a flask of a prestigious alcohol. Pure and simple, the bottle was designed with men’s penchant for the essential in mind.

Absolument Homme features notes of Sicilian lemon, bergamot, carnation, woodland, amber, musk, sandalwood, geranium, nutmeg seeds, cedarwood and patchouli leaves. It is $125 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum at luckyscent.

Oscar de la Renta Oscar Red Orchid perfumeOscar de la Renta will launch Oscar Red Orchid next month:

The juice is described as a “voluptuous fragrance filled with the seductive scent of red orchids and the sparkle of summer”. Aside from its floral heart, key notes include mandarin, blackberry, blueberry, sandalwood and iris.

Oscar Red Orchid will be in 60 ml Eau de Toilette. (via moodiereport) Other recent releases from Oscar de la Renta: Oscar Pink Lily.

    Revolutionary? Absolument Absinthe? Nah. 🙂

I just love when they throw out adjectives on stuff that's not really that new nor “revolutionary”. There hasn't been anything revolutionary in the fragrance biz for Men in a LONG WHILE. I laugh at the thought of that particular scent and it's maker's extolment of being “revolutionary”, LOL!!!!!!!!!! Give me a break!

LOL — you know, I hardly even notice that sort of stuff any more. Agree, nothing in the least revolutionary about it, although I kind of liked it once I got over it not smelling much like absinthe. It reminds me more of Bvlgari Green Tea — fresh & clean & summery. But nothing stunning or revolutionary about it at all.

I guess you're right on the men's fragrances — but can't think of anything revolutionary in the fragrance biz for women recently either. At least men don't get Jolly Ranchers candy in every new scent! I think men are getting better stuff than women this year, even if it isn't anything revolutionary.

Revolutionary??? I agree with Colombina. Absolutely Absinthe is a slightly more floral than CK one, that's all. But less interesting however.

Hom many bottles of A.A. did they sell? 100? 120 ? Bravo.

BTW, the bottle is really cheap, it seems like a bad copy of Clarins Eau Dynamisante.
