Carolina Herrera 212 Splash ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 11 May 2007 7 Comments

Carolina Herrera 212 Splash perfumeCarolina Herrera has launched a duo of limited edition summer fragrances, 212 Splash. The scents are lighter variations on the original 212 fragrances and were "inspired by the fast pace of the city of New York". The outer packaging is designed to evoke soda cans.

212 Splash for women (shown) features notes of bergamot, grapefruit, mandarin, peony, rose, lychee, cedar, sandalwood and musk. It is available in 60 ml Eau de Toilette.

212 Men Splash includes bergamot, mint, fresh notes, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom, sandalood, incense and transparent musk. 212 Men Splash is sold in 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

LOL — there is nothing wrong with lychee per se. It just seems to be one of the latest “it” notes, and so it makes me roll my eyes when I see it crop up again. Sorry to be guilty of lychee discrimination :-)

That marketing description made me giggle a bit. Soda cans? Vending chic! And “inspired by the fast pace of New York” makes me think of weary perfumers and their copywriters, churning through the latest releases
