Garden Sensuel?! What is that when it's at home?! That's it! It's happened! The world has come to an end: the revered house of Guerlain has succumbed to the silliest fashion of all and given a franglais name to one of their scents. I'm off to bed; don't even want to know what it smells like.

J, I do see your point — and sorry to send you to bed — but I'll take the franglais Garden Sensuel over the more linguistically-acceptable Lovely Cherry Blossom Gold Sparkles — I don't think you can beat that one for sheer silliness.

Guerlain is into ouds now… Jumped on the bandwagon, albeit a little late in the game. Whatever is next? Caron releasing a line of Vanilla scents? *sigh*

LCBGS is idiotic but GS is criminal. LOL!

Ok, that seems a reasonable enough conclusion :-)

Given Guerlain's access to high quality materials, these could be lovely (not that I'll ever know, given the price), but I don't entirely see the point either. Maybe they're going after the lucrative Middle East market? Who knows. But when Caron launches a line of vanillas, we're in big trouble!!

Why so pricey? Ah, it must be the gilded mesh sleeves. Sigh.

I'm going to assume it is both the gilded mesh sleeves and that they are using mostly natural materials? You would think they would, for something like this, but who knows.

I really think these sound potentially quite good. Not Guerlainesque, but very intriguing, nevertheless. However, I'm wondering if samples of these will even show up on ebay. I worry that they won't. Sob!

Agree – and would especially love to smell the men's. At those prices, I'm not likely to shell out even for a sample though!
