The Frederic Malle test kit looks marvelous! I don't think Santa can afford it though.
I'll have the Frederic Malle test kit too, thank you very much, dear Santa 🙂
It is a great set, but I rather liked the idea of the cheaper set with the 5 ml bottles….Santa would have had an easier time with that one 🙂
Hang on, that's $32.50 per 10ml bottle. Are they kidding? They used to send three 5ml bottles for free to whomever didn't live near a FM retailer.
Oops, there are fourteen in the set. *takes her calculator out* That's still $23.20 per bottle. A lot, no?
I have mixed feelings…
a) they were crazy to send out 15 ml of free perfume to begin with. And some people (like me) never got any 😉
b) the old test kit was smaller but much more affordable. Don't remember how many scents there were so can't compare price per ml, but it was easier to swallow a $99 expense than a $325 expense
c) assume they are charging for that book, and haven't seen it so don't know if it is “worth” anything
d) but, wish all companies would do some version of this. It is a great opportunity for swappers and/or “splitters” to get small sizes of the scents they want. I'd rather pay $23.50 for 10 ml than be forced to buy 50 or 100 ml of something when I'll never use it…even though the price per ml is obviously better when you buy a large size
It would be cheaper to take a trip to barneys, than to buy something I might not half enjoy.
True enough!
Have you tried the LM Creme Brule hand cream, R? It sounds like a nice treat for after doing stuff like washing the bathroom or whatever when hands are all dried out and stripped by the cleaners, but I've not heard anything about it to venture trying it yet… If you know, is it any good?
K, every year I end up buying at least one expensive hand cream. Last year it was SMN's almond paste, this year, I'm trying that Yu-Be stuff that people are raving about. Doesn't smell good though. All of which is a long way of saying no, haven't tried it, and now it will have to wait until 2007 🙂
