TJ Maxx report for June

Posted by Robin on 14 June 2006 4 Comments

My local TJ Maxx was surprisingly well-stocked yesterday, and had a number of new releases including this year's Escada, Maria Sharapova and Clarins Par Amour Toujours. Also spotted: Jean Patou Enjoy, Calvin Klein Eternity Purple Orchid, Cacharel Promesse, Amor Amor & Noa Fleur, Donald Trump, Bvlgari Blv, Davidoff Cool Water Woman, J Lo Glow & Miami Glow and Lancaster Aquasun. Hiding in the bath & body section were candles by Molton Brown and Pecksniff's body lotions. Not a bad selection, but sadly I didn't see Guerlain Anisia Bella, which is reportedly now at Marshalls for $9.99.

I spotted the Anisia Bella but the spray cap was missing. My surprise score at TJMaxx last week was Baldessarini by Hugo Boss for Men. I've wanted to buy this for the DH for a year, but did not want to pay the Saks retail price. Baldessarini is disguised in a plain white thin cardboard overbox. There is nothing written on the box to indicate what is inside. There is a tiny opening in the bottom of the box, and when I peeked, I could not believe my eyes. There were two and I bought them both, $24.99 each. This is the silver refillable cannister that was $90 at Saks.

Oh, if you saw the AB at TJ Maxx, I'll keep checking my store, thanks! And congrats on the Baldessarini, that is a great deal. I'll see if I can find some at mine…

Do you have any idea what these Metro & Bus scents are that are showing up at the Maxx? I have bought two of them and they are really nice! The Madeline is like an Angel/Prada mix, and the Louvre is a pretty white floral. Annie got two of the others. We were impressed. Maybe we were impressed to be buying French scents for $8.00, but they really are delightful!

P, no idea. Madeleine & Louvre are both Paris metro stops, which actually complicates a Google search. There is also a new fragrance, Madeleine, which they're using as an air freshener in the Paris underground. Congrats on your deal, anyway!
