Posted by Robin on 5 April 2006 21 Comments

Dolce & Gabbana The One fragrance

Dolce & Gabbana will launch The One this fall:

The fragrance features top notes of mandarin and peach that leads into a heart of jasmine and ends with a base of vanilla, amber and musk. The women’s EdP will be accompanied by a shower gel, perfumed body lotion and deodorant spray. (via cosmeticnews)

Update: Dolce & Gabbana The One was designed to be a seasonless fruity floral; additional notes include bergamot, lychee, Madonna lily, muguet, plum, vetiver. The Eau de Parfum will be in 50 and 75 ml, and look for a men's version to follow. (via Women's Wear Daily)

Tous Touch fragrance

Tous Touch from Tous will launch in September in Spain:

The fragrance, created by Sophie Labbé of IFF, sports top notes of lotus, freesia and lily of the valley, moving onto a heart of white flowers and jasmine and with a dry down of vanilla flowers almond and raspberry. (via moodiereport)

Tous Touch is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in Irisdescent Body Cream.

The One sounds kinda interesting. Nothing by Dolce & Gabbana has flored me so far. We'll see.

The Sophie Labbe sounds delightful, except for that one Raspberry note. Wonder how that will play out.

If P&G follows the same plan as they did with V By Valentino, The One could actually be a very nice mainstream offering.

LittleBlessing, though I also find Tous Touch worth trying, still I have the same doubts with the raspberry drydown.

However, if we're speaking of raspberry as a bottom note, there must sure be chemicals like raspberry ketone or some other new captive from IFF that would work, I presume, in a similar way. If raspberry ketone is the case, I guess it would make an interesting combination with a flowery vainilla. Let's wait and see (or smell, I should say).

    Regards, R.

I like the sound of the notes in the Tous Touch until I got to the raspberry. I would be interested in smelling it none the less.

The One sounds quite nice. I like the bottle, too.

Especially not happy with almond & raspberry together, personally, but will certainly try it although I know nothing about the brand or where it is sold in the US.

They certainly aren't messing around with the name, LOL…hope the fragrance will live up to it.

Could be interesting, could be more raspberry than I can stand…I usually prefer the sweet fruits to disappear with the top notes.

I had a quick smell of The One on a test strip, and it smelled nice. I'll certainly try it on skin when I get the chance.

Well Robin,Dolce & Gabbana “the one” was my second purchase, sniffed it and loved it instantly, the top notes are not too sweet which I love then the middle notes are very soft florals cause I can't stand floral but didn't mind this at all and vanilla and amber always seems to win my heart.
Certain perfumes I don't care for the top notes but this one I really love.
    Have you tried it yet?

I *think* I tried it on a paper card, but honestly can't remember. Will have to see if I can find a sample!

    Hello everyone,

I'm new to this blog…. I really interested in the D&G The One fragrance.

How is it? I'm looking for a new scent and this caught my eye. Any feedback on it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Sorry to say I still haven't given it a serious try, and haven't seen much about it on the blogs either. There is a short review at Perfume Posse:

Recently received a sample at a local department store and sprayed my wrist. My husband absolutely loved it! It's very nice, subtle, not overpowering, very feminine. I could smell it hours later. It's on my Christmas list.
