Guess Man & more new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 24 March 2006 2 Comments

Guess Man fragranceThe next fragrance launch from Guess, Guess Man, is due next month:

Guess Man, which was blended by Steve DeMercado of Fragrance Resources, features olfactory accords of Siberian blue fir, Peru balsam, Egyptian sandalwood, spiced amber, brushed suede and musk. There's also a spicy infusion of white pepper, ginger root and nutmeg, as well as lavender and armoise.

Guess Man is an Eau de Toilette and is available in 50 and 75 ml and in matching grooming products.

Also coming in April: Estee Lauder Pure Linen. And coming to the United States soon (it has already launched in Spain): Antonio by Antonio Banderas, with "bold peppery and citrus top notes, with a finish of smooth cashmere wood, fir balsam and musk notes." (all above via Women's Wear Daily) Update: see a review of Estee Lauder Pure White Linen.

Hugo Boss will launch Boss Selection for men in May:

Boss Selection is a fresh, spicy aromatic concoction developed by P&G in collaboration with Givaudan. The scent opens with notes of mandarin and grapefruit around a heart of cedar needles and star anise. The base features notes of cedar wood, patchouli, vetiver and heliotrope. (via cosmeticnews)

Update: see a review of Boss Selection.

I got a sample of this earlier today and had no idea what to expect. As I put a bit on my wrist it started to settle in and I couldnt help but feel like I had smelled this before. After 20 or 30 minutes of constant sniffing and trying to remember, I had it: Donna Karan Cashmere Mist. Maybe more suitable for your mother.
