New fragrance report: Elite, Hermes, Christian Dior, and Annick Goutal

Posted by Robin on 23 January 2006 6 Comments

Elite is a new line from Groupe Arthes with two fragrances. Elite Model Attitude for her (see bottle at left) was created by perfumer Richard Herpin and has notes of muguet, pear, cassis buds, rose, violet, osmanthus, woody amber, tonka bean, and caramel accord. Elite Model Attitude for him was created by nose Henri Bergia and has notes of anise, bergamot, black pepper, caraway, white cedar, juniper berry, musk, vanilla and vetiver. (via elle.fr and elitemodelparfums)

More on Annick Goutal Songes (see Saturday): in addition to frangipani, ylang ylang, jasmine and vanilla, the fragrance also has notes of vetiver, sandalwood and amber:

The EdT (€60 for 50ml and €82 for 100 ml) is dominated by a floral accord while the EdP (€80 for 50 ml, €120 in a special bottle) features a more vanilla note. (via cosmeticnews)

Hermes will release a limited edition of Eau des Merveilles: Constellation, with a focus on the jasmine note. (via Parfums: Les Nouveautes) Update: turns out the juice is exactly the same, just in a new bottle.

Christian Dior will release Poison Amulets: limited edition purse sprays in Poison, Pure Poison, Tendre Poison and Hypnotic Poison. Each is 15 ml and comes with 2 refills. (via moodiereport)

Now the bottle for Elite Model Attitude (I would have just called it Supermodel!) is something that would cheer me up on my dresser. Aimed at the Nanadebary bottle fans, maybe? But I wonder: Will the EMA for Men feature silhouettes of hunky toy boys?

Click on the link to the elitemodelparfum site, and you can see the men's bottle. It looks like men coming down the runway (more than the women's, BTW). Agree that Supermodel is a better name!

These bottles are absolutely not for me, but the juice sounds like concoctions of everything I most hate anyway! How come the boy silhouettes seem to be wearing a lot more than the girls?

That Hermes…EdM always delights me for the first twenty minutes, then something goes horribly wrong. I wonder if this one will be better?

N, I still haven't tried the Parfum des Merveilles. I liked the Eau des Merveilles but didn't adore it — to tell you the truth, its been so long that I can't remember why!

I do adore EdM, have worn it every day to work for 2 years – now on the second precious bottle. I feel invigerated by the fresh unique fragrance each morning. Even though it does not last all day, I prefer a perfume to be subtle, but apply first the EdM cream to help it last. The best news of the day was to read of the new Limited Edition Constellation! Hope it will be available here in New Zealand. I must admit that the silver pendant full of Parfum des Merveilles sounds oh so tempting…..

I am tempted by that silver pendant too! Hope I can find a picture of the Constellation bottle soon…
