    Hello R!

I was lucky enough to be able to try Songes from a store tester last week. I thought it was gorgeous. I don't usually wear jasmine, since many jasmine scents are either too authentically raw or too artificially sweet for my taste, but the ylang and vanilla in Songes made it a very appealing blend to my nose. And the moon-and-stars packaging…! Truly dreamy. :)

S, so far it has had mostly positive reports, so I am hopeful! That bottle is just stunning. AG really knows how to do bottles.

I love ylang ylang and frangipani…AG is becoming one of my favorite perfumers (my sister has already claimed her the queen of fragrance)…uh, oh….I think I'm in trouble.

    Hugs!

P.S.–I got the right poster this time, I think. LOL!

Who? WHO has the testers? Only in NYC? Help me, please, R!

R, We could all be in trouble! Hoping (sort of) that it will be sweet & powdery and then I won't need it ;-)

    Hugs to you!

M, I know Bergdorf Goodman has one. Might be worth calling your local NM & Saks AG counters to ask if they have a tester yet! Maybe the big NM at Tysons Galleria?

Tania gifted me with a decant of Songes a few months ago. I was instantly smitten. I was hoping that January was the release month. This switch to march is disappointing.

BTW: It is lovely. It is in my top ten of all time. Its that good.

A, March might just be the “official” launch date…wouldn't be at all surprised if it showed up at AG counters long before then. Not making any promises, mind you! Can't wait to try it.

Wow this sounds gorgeous! Beautiful bottle too.

I'm in Canada, so I'm afraid it might take longer for this fragrance to appear here. I can't wait to try this one out either.

How odd that my friend is in Paris right now and the Songes is nowhere to be found! Ahhh they shipped it all to NYC!

Humm the New CSP sounds good, live pineapple.

    :O)

Drat, that is too bad! Cosmeticnews says the release date is February, so we shall see, perhaps it won't be as late as March.

AG “songes” is the reason why L'artisan Parfumeur had to pull “extrate de songes” name was to similar…

quite weird, its like suing someone for using the name “BOIS”

I believe AG had trademarked the name. Still hoping L'Artisan will reissue Extrait de Songes in another name!

Quite so, but the line can be found cheaper online…check scentiments or fragrancenet.com.

My husband laughs at me because I review this blog discussing perfume every day, but I am thrilled to find other people in the world who love it as much as I do! As I live in Arkansas, I depend on people like you to keep me up-to-date on exotic, hard-to-find fragrances. This website didn't lead me astray on Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower and because of that Annick Goutal Songes is next to buy on my sniff list!

I am in a very small town, so I know the feeling. Most of the fragrances I try come via post. Anyway, glad you love Carnal Flower & hope Songes will not be a disappointment!
