Thank you to Christine for pointing out this article by Chandler Burr about strange fragrances from yesterday's New York Times.
And thank you to Laura for the link to this article about iris perfumes in the London Times.
The ad campaign for Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely fragrance has kicked off online, in advance of televison advertising. You can watch the ad via this link from adjab.
Penelope sent me the link this morning. It is a fascinating article though I disagree entirely with her characterizaion of Hiris as a man-magnet. To me it is chastely sensual, something a celibate goddess would wear (P, if you're reading this, forgive my recycling that metaphor ;D.)
L, Would have to agree with you, Hiris certainly doesn't operate that way in my own home, LOL !
R, an article about iris fragrances – I do like that 🙂 Somewhere I have an Hiris-sample, even if it´s not a man-magnet I think I should try it 😉
The Iris article blended my favorite aspect of perfume writing (illuminating education) with my least favorite (purple rhapsodies about the effect on the opposite sex). Better written than most mainstream writing about scent, though. Thanks for the link.
S, Hiris is just a wonderful scent, do try it! It is one I can't imagine not having a bottle of.
T, It certainly beat the latest article in Allure, LOL…
