TJ Maxx report

Posted by Robin on 30 May 2005 14 Comments

Spotted at TJ Maxx this weekend: Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, Liz Claiborne Spark and Mambo gift sets, Givenchy Pi, Versace The Dreamer, and Burberry Brit -- have to admit I was surprised by the Brit.

Hello again, yes, Safari is so good and priced right. Other frags spotted: Burberry, Burberry Weekend, Burberry Tender Touch, Paul Sebastian Funky-Sexy-Cool (smells like sugary pineapple), Van Cleef & Arpels Murmure, Liz Claiborne Vivid, Guerlain Shalimar Light, Ralph Lauren Glamourous Daylight, Amor Amor Eau Fraiche, Lulu Guiness..if I think of others, I'll add on.

Wow, you have a great TJ Maxx! I made a trip last week thinking I would post a new report, and they had NOTHING worth talking about.

Oh, I would be so disappointed if TJ Maxx's perfume well ran dry! It is a haunt for me…must be our little store isn't as frequented as so many others might be. Have had great luck with Marshall's as well, but it's a little distance for me and with gas prices lately…I won't be able to buy more perfume, which is more important than gasoline, wouldn't you say? Thanks for your kind responses here. I'll try and post any more updates when I get over to the Maxx again.

Okay, I'm hearing that d/c Escada 'Collection' (2003 release) has been spotted and purchased here. I flew out to my store and they didn't have it. I will return in a day or so. I did see Ghost Deep Night edt for 9.99 which I promptly bought. Also, the Lily Prune sets for 7.99–Sublime Vanilla, Fizzy Tea and Cotton Musk. A slew of Elizabeth Taylor frags, including Gardenia. I'm planning on hitting Marshall's as well in the next few days. Will report back.

I was in a Raleigh NC TJMaxx last weekend and tried a fragrance that began with an “M” and had Paris in the name. It wasn't Maxim Paris. Something like Madiera Paris. Loved the fragrance but didn't get back to purchase it before leaving NC. It smells similar to Lulu Guiness. Any ideas on what the name is? I've tried searching on net but can't find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid nothing comes to mind with a name like that. Good luck!

'Paris' appears often on a frag bottle but may not be part of the name…the only M frags at TJMaxx that come to mind are 'Manifesto' by Isabella Rosselini, 'Murmure' by Van Cleef & Arpels and 'Marc Jacobs.' Can you describe the bottle?

Thanks for the info. The bottle was square and I think it was clear. I

think the cologne was a bluish grey color. Not much to go on, I know. I

could kick myself for not writing it down or going back to get it the next

day. I was in at closing and hadn't had a chance to see how the fragrance

settled on my skin. Now I'm back in Texas and going nuts trying to figure

out what it was! Anyway, thanks for the input.

Many more, but can't recall those.
