Sarah Jessica Parker's new fragrance for Coty, due for launch in September, will be called Lovely. (via The Advertiser link no longer working, sorry).
Ian Thorpe, the Australian olympic gold medalist in swimming, has launched the Ian Thorpe for men line, including an Eau de Parfum and body products with "exotic spices and woody undertones". (via Sunday Telegraph another broken link!).
And while I wasn't looking, Paris Hilton went right ahead and launched her new fragrance line for men:
The unexpected initial impact is a combination of open Sky Air accord, with tempting wet Fig Leaf and fearless Green Mango. All the senses are triggered from the first instant. (via Macys)
Speaking of which, has anyone tried Donald Trump's new fragrance?
I'm just bowled over by Sarah Jessica Parker's perfume name. Wow. Breathtakingly original.
Someone needs to do some serious work on all these celebrity perfume names…curious, belong, lovely, etc. Anyway, she should do a men's fragrance called Mr. Big, don't you think?
Haha.
This sounds like the cologne to wear after spending twenty minutes blow drying your hair straight, putting on your Juicy Couture and Ugg Boots outfit and waiting in line for brunch at EJ's Luncheonette on 3rd Ave. and 73rd St scanning the street for your loud female friends to show up. Green apple martini drinkers, this scent is for you!
Perfect description of the targeted audience!
I sniffed the test strip for the Paris Hilton's men's fragrance and it is VILE. Smells like rotten fruit.

I have to admit that I haven't even smelled the women's yet! I wonder how it is that all these celebrity fragrances sell so well — personally, I always just assume they will be terrible.
