The splitmeet, episode 18

Posted by Robin on 22 October 2022 86 Comments — Comments are closed

The splitmeet (episode 18) is open for business. PLEASE read the instructions! For people who would like to chat in addition to, or instead of, splitting, there will be a poll along shortly.

Don’t know what a bottle split is, or you know but you’ve never tried it? See here.

Please note that the intention of the splitmeet is to split newly purchased bottles of perfume, not to sell decants of fragrances already in your collection! Anyone can join a split, but only people with current, active reader accounts may host splits. Update: in other words, you cannot host a split if you have never commented here before the day the splitmeet opens…

The swapmeet & splitmeet & freebiemeet follow-up, 2020

Posted by Robin on 21 November 2020 22 Comments

Oops! I am ashamed to admit that we have not done a follow up poll since 2017. If you participated in any of our swapmeets (episodes 11 – 17) or splitmeets (episodes 8 – 14) or freebiemeets (episodes 8 – 17) since then, how did it go? (And by the way, there is a regular weekend poll coming up shortly.)

Feel free to thank your partner(s), make any suggestions for improving the way we run these events, or just tell us about a fabulous fragrance you discovered via the efforts of your fellow readers.

You are also encouraged to let us know — without naming names please! — if things went wrong. It is helpful for other readers to know what sorts of issues they might encounter when swapping or splitting…
