It’s Father’s Day ALREADY? This year I’ve assembled twelve gift choices (13 counting the non-scented tie above) that can be mixed and matched: a box of soap and a shower gel, or some grooming products and a bottle of booze (there’s always food and drink on my list…they’re “fragranced,” correct?) So, buy a nice box or bag and fill it up! (If the box is a lacquered Chinese antique or the bag is a leather tote — all the better.)…
Lush Sunny Day Anti-Static Hair Detangler ~ scented hair product review
Every spring, I reach for my favorite violet perfumes. At this point in my perfume-history, they include Guerlain Après L’Ondée, Annick Goutal La Violette, Atkinsons 1799 Love in Idleness and Balenciaga Paris. I’ve alway had a weakness for Lush’s violet-scented bath and products, too — my very first review here at Now Smell This was a look at Lush’s Bathos Bubble Bar — so I couldn’t resist a quick in-store spritz of their new Sunny Day Anti-Static Hair Detangler.
According to the Lush UK website, Sunny Day’s name is a reference to the Sesame Street theme song: “Sunny day / sweeping the clouds away / on my way to where the air is sweet.” Coincidentally (or not?), it has a weather tie-in to Don’t Rain on My Parade Shower Gel…

Fragrant Father’s Day Gifts ~ 2015 Edition
Seasoned perfumistas will do just fine when choosing colognes for their fathers, so I’m concentrating on scented “sides” this year — perfumed items that make life more pleasant. (Fathers…feel free to treat yourself to anything on this list.)

Lulu Organics Lavender & Clary Sage Hair Oil ~ scented body product review
I’ve wholeheartedly embraced the beauty oil trend of the past few years. I’ve been a fan of body oils for a while, and now that I’ve incorporated facial oils and hair oils into my regimen as well, I keep wanting to recommend them to other people. My latest crush in this product category is Lulu Organics Lavender & Clary Sage Hair Oil. Its ingredients (all organic) are argan oil, soy oil, apricot kernel oil, olive oil, camelina oil, rosemary, horsetail and essential oils, and its scent is “the clean and intoxicating aroma of lavender perfectly partnered with an invigorating clary sage and a touch of rosemary.”
What exactly does one do with a hair oil? Just think of it as an intensive, leave-in moisturizing product…
