I am so late (sorry!) that Lush has sold out of All The Wild Things in the US and Canada, but you can still find this charity soap bar in the UK for £5: "We can only imagine the horror faced out in the Australian bush by those who are going out searching for animal survivors amongst the estimated billion creatures killed so far in the fires. In recognition of the overwhelming task faced by this informal Animal’s Emergency Service, we have made All The Wild Things soap. Net proceeds from this limited edition eucalyptus and lemongrass soap will go to animal rescue groups providing emergency first aid and rehabilitation as well as restoring the habitat where the wild things were." Charity Navigator also has a page on the fires in Australia if you'd like to donate directly.

From Miller Harris, Honey And Lime Soap On A Rope: "Lively with citrus and blooming honeysuckle - as warm as a sunny rooftop garden, inspired by HIDDEN from our FORAGE collection, with added bran for its emollient and skin softening properties. These beautiful natural soaps also combine British rapeseed oil with coconut oil, organic shea butter, glycerin and vitamin E to leave the skin cleansed and moisturised." £20.

A lemming for fans of scrub soaps: three limited edition bars from Kiehls. "Gently cleanse and exfoliate skin with our Limited-Edition Body Scrub Soap. This botanical-based exfoliating bar soap helps prepare skin for moisturizing and is formulated with Glycerin and Ground Jojoba Seeds." In Grapefruit, Coriander or Lavender. $12 each.

Chanel No. 19 bar soap. I congratulate whomever came up with that perfect shade of green. "A luxurious bath soap scented with the floral, woody and green notes of N°19. A perfect balance between the vibrant, green notes of Galbanum and the soft, powdery notes of Iris." $26.

In case, like me, you don't happen to have a hefty gift certificate to Buly 1803, here's a cheaper alternative to yesterday's lemming (and possibly a good stocking stuffer): Scented Soap Sheets. "Buly 1803's soaps are ideal for when you're on-the-go - just slip them into your bag and use as you would a regular bar. Each single-use cellulose sheet dissolves on contact with water, creating a substantial lather without any residue." (I used to buy the Crabtree & Evelyn soap leaves, they were lovely.) Available at Net-a-Porter, in Damask Rose, Scottish Lichen or Orange Blossom, $17 for a pack of 40.
