It’s Hump Day and World Chocolate Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I am copying pyramus on Monday, with Guerlain Anisia Bella for Tiger Tail ice cream, an orange and licorice combo that I’d never heard of, and which apparently is a love-it-or-hate-it flavor (and rather hard to find outside of Canada, although I see that it does pop up in the US here and there). I love licorice: I’m game.

One of my most vivid fragrance memories was on a beach in Yakushima, where I found a big piece of driftwood that washed up on the shore. I scratched it with my fingers and I could smell that it was hinoki cypress, which was not from the island itself but travelled through the ocean to reach me. I don't normally believe in signs but it was a beautiful moment that made me feel like I was on the right path.
