People are born with synesthesia, and when you’re about a year old you lose it. Only five per cent of people walk around as adults with synesthesia. But the neurons you have now are the same ones you were born with. You can wake them up, and that’s what we’re going to try to do today.
— Perfumer Ron Winnegrad, talking to students at a workshop on synesthesia. Read more at Scents and Sensibility at The New Yorker.

A repeat of a poll we did in 2011, 2014 and 2017: tell us about your most-hated perfume, your most recent scrubber, nasty layering combinations you’ve discovered, perfumes you’d prefer to never smell again, or anything like.
Please, DO NOT read the comments if you’re at all sensitive about your own perfume loves. Someone else is bound to hate them! If you do read, be gracious about other people’s choices. This is meant to be lighthearted…

Another reasonably priced cleaning product I have not tried (please comment if you have): Citrus & Basil All Purpose Cleaner from Everspring. "We believe a cleaner home begins with Everspring All Purpose Cleaner. It is biobased and cuts grease and grime on multiple surfaces without ammonia or harsh fumes. Made without parabens and naturally fragranced with plant extracts and essential oils, this biodegradable formula is non-toxic to humans when used as directed and never tested on animals. Our products are made with you, your home and family in mind." $2.99 at Target. (And Target apparently owns the brand, you can read more about it here.)

Two spots from Firmenich Naturals. The first is on green mandarin from Brazil (with perfumer Amandine Clerc Marie), followed by (below the jump) cardamom from Guatemala (with perfumer Frank Voelkl).
