Happy International Artist’s Day! Our community project for today: match a fragrance with an artist or work of art, and tell us about it!

I went with Pablo Picasso since it’s also his birthday today. My very clunky perfume match for Boy with Pipe: Diptyque Volutes. I’m still out of town so of course I haven’t got it with me, but after an afternoon on the road, I should have it on by dinner time…
Atelier Versace ~ new fragrances
Versace has launched Atelier Versace Fragrances, a new collection of six luxury unisex scents: Cédrat de Diamante, Éclat de Rose, Figue Blanche, Jasmin au Soleil, Santal Boisé and Vanille Rouge…
It wasn’t half bad
Google has its own perfume—or at least one team of the company’s researchers does. Crafted under the guidance of expert French perfumers, the mixture has notes of vanilla, jasmine, melon, and strawberries. “It wasn’t half bad,” says Alex Wiltschko, who keeps a vial of the perfume in his kitchen.

Happy Almost-Friday and United Nations Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m going with Imaginary Authors O, Unknown! — probably an overly literal match with the Chinese metalwork above, but it also smells good.
