Lazy 3-day weekend poll ~ Fall Back, 2026

Posted by Robin on 31 October 2026 4 Comments

If it's Saturday, happy Halloween! If it's Sunday, rabbit, rabbit, rabbit (🐇🐇🐇)! Welcome to November, plus, happy Day of the Dead, plus, a little reminder: if you live in a daylight savings zone, don't forget to change your clocks! That means it's time for our tenth annual Fall Back poll.

As always, answer as many or as few as you like, or just talk about something else. If it's spring where you live, adjust the questions accordingly.

1. What's the fragrance you'd most like to add to your collection this fall?

2. You have to vote one perfume in your collection off the island. Which one will go first, and why?

3. It's time for a (fantasy) fall getaway! Where are you going, and pick ONE fragrance to bring with you.

Note: the "White Rabbit Clock Purse, Pocket Watch Crossbody Bag Costume Accessory" is $25 at Amazon.

Happy Weekend NST & Happy Halloween & Dia de Los Muertos.
Wearing Traversee du Bosphore from a generous NSTer. Wow, why did I think this was too sweet in 2010? My tastes clearly have expanded. Sadly, it’s now d/c.
    As regards the poll
    1) Dead heat between the perennial Daim Blond and Traversee du Bosphore. Though I also want just a small decant of Santa Maria Novella Frangipane to try. I’ve lusted after that once for years after reading Black Narcissus rave about it on his blog.
    2) I might vote off Kenzo Flower, I’m not feeling it right now, though I do swing maniacally toward it at certain times.
    3) Fantasy Fall Getaway would be New Zealand. Because it would be SPRING there. My niece has applied for a Fulbright for graduate nursing school there, and I helped edit her essays and it just sounds so amazing. I am a huge LOTR fan so would have to visit The Shire. And I would visit the South Island too and wave to Kanuka.

    SOTD is Ineke Chemical Bonding.

Not interested in adding anything to my collection, nor would I vote anything off for that matter.

Good morning! I’m in Soivohle Paracelsus for Halloween, because there’s just something witchy about it. Black roses, mushrooms, moss
doesn’t it sound like a darkly enchanted forest?

Anyway, the only things on my wish list at the moment are a BUB of Au DelĂ  Narcisse, and any amount of several unobtaniums (Sous le Vent, Doblis, Cuir Cannage, the OG RĂȘve en Cuir). My next Quest may have to be for a soft floral leather approximating Doblis and/or RĂȘve — Hermes has let me down on that.

Off the island are FMK Aqua Celestia (I just never reached for it all summer, and thought I would) and Autoportrait (although I should probably revisit that one before I let go of it).

    Fantasy vacation
hmm. I’ve always wanted to see Skye, and lately Ireland and other parts of coastal Scotland have joined in. I think I’ll do it from a large, fully staffed and provisioned yacht. There will be a chef, a bartender and a masseuse among the staff, of course, and my stateroom will have a fireplace and lots of fluffy blankets to ward off the chill.

Good morning, last night I went to the most FABULOUS Baby Shower I have ever had the pleasure of going to. It was all of us women and our Daughters present. Amazing decorations – pumpkin was the main motto – beautiful set up, too much good food, games, laughter and love. I was going for my Allure Sensuelle but because my Dear Friend the new Mom had a high pregnancy – I decided to go much easier on the nose of a Mom to be and wore Eau Vive.
I can’t really vote a perfume off the island because I love them all.
Fantasy getaway – I’m going to Tokyo and I am taking °18 with me hoping to make the right impression. Or I am going to Paris and wearing a huge cloud of Allure Sensuelle just to rub it in their face!! And remind them of the goodies they released some 20 years ago that aren’t forgotten – that are masterpieces forever and ever.
