Niche line BeauFort London has launched Sunken Tobacco, a new addition to the Force Majeure collection.

For those who love the scent of tobacco sweet, honeyed, warm, enveloping, earthy and herbaceous.

But we do it differently: we challenged perfumer Euan McCall to create a tobacco fragrance with all the rich, deep facets of the tobaccos we know and love, but to give it the BeauFort ‘twist’. This was to imagine that a package of tobacco leaves with all their fermented, honeyed beauty was to be left in a wooden box at the bottom of the sea for many many years, infused with salt, and the kind of character only time and tide will allow.

You find this box, you open it… We think he nailed it.

The notes include star anise, cardamom, saffron, cherry mead, frankincense, blackcurrant, juniper, clove, orris, myrrh, damson, tobacco, seaweed, oakwood, ambergris, guaiac wood, birch, oakmoss, cedarwood, vetiver, labdanum, gurjun and cypriol.  

BeauFort London Sunken Tobacco is available in 7.5 or 50 ml Eau de Parfum.
