The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 7 April 2026 6 Comments

In case you have some really fancy notes you need to write: limited edition scented note paper from Bogue Profumo. "A project created to celebrate traditional craftsmanship, poetic gestures, and artistic inspiration. The handmade Amalfi paper by the Amatruda paper mill is infused with a dedicated fragrance and then dipped on one edge in an oil blend to create a scented decorative stripe." With notes of lemon, ylang, benzoin, geranium and castoreum-leather blend; $120 (ouch!) for 12 sheets and envelopes at Luckyscent.

I seem to remember mentions in old-fashioned novels of love letters scented with the sweetheart’s perfume…

Yep…and you could get nice note paper and spray it with your perfume much cheaper! But bet this is nice, would love to smell it.

I tried spraying my Aquamarine on a letter in 8th grade, and it left an ugly yellow stain. Same with a magazine’s advice to “Spray perfume on a cotton ball tucked into your bra.” Not sure why one would do the latter instead of just spraying it on yourself, now that I think about it.

I actually do have the habit of perfuming all my letters and greeting cards (except “Get well soons” though).
I love buying fancy stationaries so them carrying a nice smell is just the cherry on top!
