Bvlgari has launched Eau Parfumée Thé Impérial, a new fragrance in the brand's tea series. The last in the collection was 2015's Eau Parfumée au Thé Noir.
Created in 2017 by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier, the olfactory signature of Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts was originally composed exclusively for the discerning guests of these icons of Italian elegance. In 2026, in tribute to this storied legacy, Eau Parfumée Thé Impérial takes its rightful place within the Eau Parfumée collection. [...]
Eau Parfumée Thé Impérial draws its captivating name from an era when empires flourished through the exchange of rare treasures. Tea and citrus—once reserved for royalty and the elite—stood as emblems of prestige and cultural connection. In China, tea blossomed as a sophisticated ritual and symbol of enlightenment, while in Rome, citrus fruits represented radiance and prosperity, adorning imperial banquets and gardens. The word “Impérial” embodies the harmony of these two grand traditions...
In Eau Parfumée Thé Impérial, radiant accords of Sri Lankan Black Tea intertwine with the sparkling notes of Italian citrus, unveiling a bright and refined Citrus Musk composition.
Bvlgari Eau Parfumée Thé Impérial is available in 75 and 150 ml Eau de Toilette.

Hello Robin,
My husband wears the Thé noir version in the winter so I am always interested in smelling other Bulgari tea fragrances. I’ve always like the thé vert version, not to wear personally but as a beautiful crisp and short lived bit of freshness.
That being said, I wish they had never discontinued Black.
Have a nice day.
I am surprised they have never relaunched Black, they ought to give it a shot. I do think it would find a new audience.
How I wish they would bring Black back!
Their Thé series has usually been pretty reliable, so hope to sniff it sometime.
Same!
No doubt I have mentioned this on here before (!) but I popped into their Sloane Street shop when their first perfume, Eau Parfumee au The Vert was launched & I’ve worn it on & off ever since. Did give it a miss for a few years while discovering other perfumes but in the past couple of years have got back into it big time. When I went into the shop all those years ago (it wasn’t available anywhere else back then) I was asked to sit down, given a glass of fizz & a beautiful booklet which listed the ingredients & told the story of what inspired it – the booklet had a cut-out section with a miniature bottle of the The Vert in it. Despite my jeans & t-shirt attire I was welcomed warmly & the staff were obviously delighted with my love & knowledge of fragrance
Such a cool story Carolyn
Thank you, Portia.
Incredible customer service!
Indeed, especially as it was far enough back in the day when you were generally not afforded good customer service if you didn’t, at least to the staff, look the part. I still have the booklet & miniature bottle somewhere!
This sounds lovely.
