It's Friday, Alexander Graham Bell Day and Piet Mondrian’s birthday. Our community project for today is edition 10 of the Picture challenge: scent Mondrian's Broadway Boogie Woogie, one of his most famous works. (You can find lots of links to possibly helpful reading on the Scent of the day page.) Not in the mood? Pick one of the colors and use it to choose a fragrance, or wear a fragrance that works for New York City in the early 1940s.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
So after reading New York Style in Piet Mondrian’s Broadway Boogie Woogie, I looked for something that called to mind the movement and energy of jazz ("hectic, boisterous arrangement") and of cities, plus joy and light, breaking out "from the captivity of black lines", and etc. There are several fragrances I might have picked but no longer owned, so I ended up in good old Diptyque Oyédo.
Reminder: on 3/14, wear a fragrance with a hyacinth note, if you have one. If you don't, pick another spring flowering bulb?
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2025, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Hello and tgif!
Sotd is FM Music For a While, first for its mention of music, then the main pineapple, geranium and labdanum notes for the yellow, red and white. If lavender counts as blue then I got that covered too!
The temperature dropped again and with it the rain. I am going to make clam chowder because that’s my comfort soup. I don’t have oyster crackers though, shame… I do however have Ritz crackers that I can break, yea, good enough. 😂
Great call happy888cat!
Wow, perfect
Perfect is right!
Cold rainy days sure do call for soup!
Morning!
I went with De Los Santos, because I haven’t worn it in awhile. I think if a person loved Fille en Aiguilles from SL and can’t find that fragrance easily, this might work as a substitute. They’re not identical-more like cousin scents, if that makes sense.
Hope Friday is a very easy day for everyone.
Here’s to easy Friday 🙂
Easy Friday should join Almost Friday in the NST lexicon imho.
Sans fragrance right now for an appointment. I feel like I’v gotten a lot accomplished in the past month or so regarding annual health/wellness checks so that makes me feel good. I’ve put off a couple of things for a long while because I couldn’t get in to see a provider in the time I was in a certain area or because of lack of insurance. Still blows my mind that so many places are scheduling 6-9 months out no matter the specialty.
After, I will wear Fils de Dieu because it’s fabulous, and so am I! (That’s me, patting myself on the back for getting 💩 done!).
Hope your day is filled with little but important accomplishments. 😌
Here, some doctors are scheduling over a year out…it is a mess! Glad you are getting stuff done.
Ugh! Mess indeed.
Patting you on the back as well! 🙌🙌🙌 Bravo! Hoping that your many little but important accomplishments energy will rub off on me today deva!
Thanks!
Deva, my work insurance company wants me to sign up with one of their nurse coordinator’s. ( not just me, everyone) is this a good thing or just a sneaky way to save them money somehow?
Also.. you are fabulous!
Lillyjo, I’m not sure what that is about. I know I worked for an insurance company for 4 years but my patients were Medicare age with chronic disease processes. 99% of my interaction was educational. I would give it a try, ask what their goals are for your healthcare and see if they align with yours. I don’t think this is a “replacement” for actual physician visits/diagnostic testing/annual healthcare. If you don’t like it or feel it’s not really helpful, you can withdraw without any repercussions, I’m sure.
Thanks Deva. I am a little afraid of it being some sort of replacement care. I will ask more about it at work.
My Internal Medicine and Dermatology physicians schedule my next yearly appointment before I walk out the door. I think many are starting to do that now.
Yeah, it’s not TOO bad if you’re an established patient and can make appointments ahead of time, but when you travel around, are not established anywhere, and have no idea where you’ll be in 6-12 months, it’s a real mess. Starting next winter I think I will be doing what a lot of nomads do and head over the border for annual medical/dental visits. Medical tourism is stronger than ever!
I wasn’t thinking. Yes, being a nomad would make it difficult.
YAY you, getting health & wellness stuff done!
SOTD is Hermès Osmanthe Yunnan. Maybe it fits the CP because to me it brings joy and light 🙂
Happy Friday everyone!
Works for me! OY always works.
Someone here at NST used to always say “Yes to Hermes!”
Experiencing a bit of crankiness because it’ll snow all day (mid 30s, won’t stick) and anticipation of spring forward. For every DST/CST time switch, the NYT opens up its comment section on its tips for coping. It’s funny how some people utterly hate it, and others who don’t see an issue & wish the complainers would quit whining and just deal.
Decided on a mood-boosting dose of Carnal Flower.🌼🌺
You smell fab!!
I’m one of those “just deal” people…married to a time-switch despiser. I’m preparing to tune out the complaints for the next two weeks.
Ours is in two weeks, not a fan as it affects my sleep pattern a bit.
You smell great, I’m not always happy with tuberose in perfumes, too heady sometimes but I was so impressed with CF which has a green aspect I appreciated.
Great tuberose scent and you are smelling fabulous!
I would happily take every bit of your snow. Still too dry out here.
Not a fan of the time change, but I just deal with it.
Normally, I would look for connections to music, cities, or Mondrian’s art, but this time, I decided to take a different approach. I looked at the picture and asked myself what it made me think of. The answer? Vacation. Yellow is the sun, blue is the sea, and red is the heat. This painting also reminds me of a window frame, with plenty of light streaming in and a glimpse of the sea beyond.
So my choice is Tom Ford Neroli Portofino – a vacation on a sunny seaside.
That’s perfect, Glannys. If I could, I would send you on a sunny seaside vacation.
Glannys may every inhale of that gorgeous Neroli Portofino transport you to the sunny seaside vacation you imagine!
That is perfect Glannys!
Love your idea!
I chose CdG Sugi, half for the bright yellow color of its bottle which matches the bright yellow in Mondrian’s work, and half because I love Sugi and ought to wear it more often.
That’s such a great match
The best reason to wear a fragrance to me 🩷. Enjoy every whiff!
I went very literal today, with New York Intense. The PdN section of my drawer is a busy one. 🙂 And now I’m off to spend my day trying to project the impact of global macroeconomic decisions on our sales for the year…did not have this fire drill on my dance card a few months back, but here we are. (Staying neutral here; it just is what I have to do today.)
That’s a great choice for the CP. I hope you can get some respite this weekend.
I almost went with NY Intense today as well. And, sadly, like you, my workplace has been significantly upheaved by recent economic changes (or threatened changes). We are having to plan for several scenarios of budget cuts, some worse than what we experienced during Covid, just to give you an idea of severity. Good luck to you!
Same here, with the multiple scenarios. I feel your pain!
Today I am wearing Yvresse, both because of its sparkly nature and because of the original name, Champagne. Broadway Boogie Woogie speaks to me of nights out and city lights and celebration.
Love it.
I’m in Chanel N°5. I suppose it could be attached to just about any era, and any city, for that matter. But today it smacks of 1940s NYC to me, and in keeping with our theme: exuberant, abstract, chic, full of life and the lights on Broadway.
I thought along your lines yesterday and today and went with old classics that might have been wafting about in the jazz clubs of NYC in the 1940s. Wish we could do a time travel to go back there and dress up wild and stink up the air! LOL!
just realized, it was probably also thick with cigarette smoke–yuck–forget that time travel trip.
Going through the thread again I’m struck by how apt and moving your description is. Poetic actually. Thank you for deepening my appreciation of the work!
I thought about No 5, so of course I think it’s a great pick 😉
Scent siblings with you today!
For those of you who get a kick out of Luca Turin’s opinions and style, he has started a Substack which you can see and read for free at :
lucaturin.substack.com.
And once again, linkworld escapes me, but if you paste this address into your browser, he is currently reviewing niche perfume houses from which he obtained samples at Exence, or however it is spelled, and has been posting some very funny and mostly kind reviews of perfumes many of us shall never encounter here in the states, with an occasional snarky one just to keep his hand in. If you tend not to agree with his opinions, I would stay away,
Going for a pedicure! I deserve it. Happy Friday one and all!
The link didn’t work for me but I’m not sure why because that is how it actually shows up when I go there via the main Substack page. This one might work: https://lucaturin.substack.com/?utm_source=global-search. But it might re-route you and make you sign into Substack first and then subscribe. If you are not already on Substack, they do make it look like you have to pay but just look for the Free option. I do pay for a couple of political ones because I want to support their work. Anyway, I just subscribed to his, and appreciate your recommendation!
Thanks for the help, Robin. I need to log into Substack on the computer and figure this out a little better. Anyway, I find his writing hilarious for the most part, and many of his impressions allign with mine, and I love it when he lapses into geeky chemistry speak! I will be interested to see if others here are entertained by him. And in particular, thanks for pointing out the free subscription option. Start wil any Substack on the free option first, then evaluate if you want to give the author a little stipend. 🙂
Some of the articles are for paid subscription only. There are many free ones, though, so there’s that.
Yes, there are enough free ones to be worth looking at. If anything piques your interest behind the paywall, I can tell you what he said.
Enjoy your self care !
For Jalapeno I am doing a extrait and EDP comparison for BR 540. The price difference between the two! lol
I was say so far the opening for the EDP is much sugar sweet than the extrait-more tart..more almond. Now that they have sat on my skin for a bit the extrait is still going really strong more woody/spice…will report back more
Do tell all!
The original is really so beautiful , the extrait also
Interesting! I did not get sugar sweet when I tried the EdP, but it’s been a while. Time to retry my sample, I guess.
Sounds like you are favoring the extrait if I am not mistaken.
I would say the EDP is more fresh classy good for everyday. The extrait is spicy almond woody…
I would like both! 😝 You are right , I do prefer the extrait I think.
I have a couple of perfumes that fill my need for almond notes, so I am good on that. 😎
I would give the extrait a sniff
I only get the chance to stop in every now and then, so — hiiii, good-smelling peeps!!!
Missed preparing for the CP (and in any case would probably be stumped by Mondrian), so I’m in the newer version of Silences, which goes on very green and turns a kind of pinky-beige (rose, vetiver and woody). Nice, but it’s neither the tour de force of the original nor the restrained beauty of No. 19.
I have a plan for next week’s CP, though!
Glad I still have my vintage Silences, then. It’ll come in handy for the hyacinth CP.
I was also thinking of Silences for next week. I think it’s a good fragrance for March in our area.
Nice to see you mals
Hello back, thank you for the mini review.
Hi mals 👋
So glad to hear from someone who has the new Silences, I love the original.
Hiya mals!! Thanks for the info on the new Silences. Sounds like I don’t need to chase it. Money saved!
Hi everyone. When I saw the painting last week, I knew right away what I would wear for the CP – Gucci Rush, for the red square plastic bottle. It’s fun to wear, never takes itself too seriously. Happy Friday!
Great pick!
Twins!
Hi twin! 👋
Excellent.
Awesome idea!
My plan was to wear Chanel No. 5 for the same reasons Daniel articulated so beautifully. Then the retail algorithm must have kicked in because somehow I received 5 MM Replica samples in a box of clothing yesterday. So instead CP is Jazz Club.
This is fitting for me because Roy Ayer’s just passed and he’s behind a favorite on my Apple Music playlist- Everybody Loves the Sunshine, which is soul-infused jazz. Ideal for kicking back (I’d say « chilling » but we’re all cold enough already 😉😆) with a Happy Hour cocktail and dreaming of summer.
That song is definitely Mondrian yellow.
Gosh, you’re absolutely right AnnieA! Great insight!
Jazz Club is fab! (And so is “Everybody Loves the Sunshine.”)
LesLiesse, drop me a line if you want to try the Prada Les Infusions de Mimosa – I’m happy to send you some. (Click on my name – my web site has my contact info.😊)
Thank you Daniel! What a treat! I was so disappointed that it was discontinued. Will send info to your website.
Hi LesLiesse, just wanted you to know that I got your response on yesterday’s post with email you after work. Thanks!
Lillyjo, this is the perfect chain. Daniel’s sending some fragrance of his Mimosa to me, and I’m sending some of my Libre Platine to you. 🎉
Very apt choice, to my shame I hadn’t heard of that great musician until he was no longer with us.
No shame at all Aurora! I imagine many people will discover him when they hear about his passing, and appreciate his unique soul-infused jazz. May you have some sunshine while listening to him!
Working on the travel spray of Vanille Insensee. Feeling mighty pleased with myself at finishing a Big Bottle, of the Bulgari Blue tea. I will wait a while before breaking out its -big- backup bottle.
I love that you have a BUB
I’ve got to ask as a 10-wk newbie, what’s BUB ?
Back Up Bottle (insurance, just in case it’s no longer available when you finish the first bottle and decide you can’t live without it!)
Well I guessed one of the bottles correctly! 😆. Actually very good to have a BUB!
We have a perfumista glossary but that term is post – 2017, when I made the last updates, so it’s not even on there.
Also noticing that some of terms I do have are not really used much anymore.
Oh well, not going to update it!
Please don’t make more work for yourself! I’ll just ask.
Just goes to show that the perfumista lexicon is alive and well, since it keeps changing! 😉
I chose Sunshine woman, for the bright yellow.
Robin, what were the other scents you would have considered if you had them?
Perfect for the CP Tulipani.
Ooh that’s such a great question to ask Robin! Can’t wait to read this answers!
Chanel No. 5 was up there and I do have some but did not want to wear it. You could also make an argument for Piguet Baghari.
Caron Tabac Blond but decided it didn’t fit as well. Considered Caron L’Anarchiste but I’m all out.
Bond no. 9 Andy Warhol Silver Factory — would have worn it if I still had any.
Something by Diesel was fizzy and fun, and can’t remember which and did not investigate because by then I’d thought of Oyedo.
Prescriptives Calyx, although I do think Oyedo is a better fit.
Oh neat! What a great and eclectic mix of fragrances. Of the ones that I know, I can really see how they would fit the CP. Calyx is indeed alive with movement and fun!
Even though Mondria(a)n’s painting is based on boogie-woogie and the freedom and liveliness of NY, I find his work rather cold and clinical. It seems to rest on a kind of controlled energy that makes it feel uptight ( like someone who can never just let go , someone who always has to be ‘ good’ at whatever activity they do rather than risking making a fool of themselves). So, an outwardly fun but actually self-contained, slightly rigid perfume. I’m thinking Chanel. To me, Chanel always has that slightly repressed ‘ good taste’ vibe. So, Cristalle.
That’s interesting because it looks very energetic and bouncy to me! This makes me wonder what the room was like back then when those musicians were all playing pianos together. Was there a precision to it or was it rollicking? I’m going to have to try to track down a film that recreates the boogie-woogie “scene.” (Maybe there are actual films from then?)
https://www.mondrianroute.com/areas/new-york-city/tweede-atelier-15-east-59th-street
Some nice photos of his NY studio. I imagine that the orderliness of his studio is in marked contrast to the buzz of the jazz clubs
This will be on my To Doblist for my next trip to NYC
Nothing to do with perfume, but sometimes the “rollicking” or what I call “ramshackle” sound of some kinds of music is all about precision (as you mentioned) and excellent, expert musicianship. Otherwise, it just sounds like bunch of noise. I happen to really love that style of music whether it’s jazz, funk, or rock…this is one of my favorite examples of it.
https://youtu.be/_DjoZh6XXP0?si=bmG7XlfNLWqGvRJw
Deva, I had no idea Bruce Hornsby could play like that!
Great reasoning, Kanuka!
While I like some of Mondriaan’s early work, I don’t care for all those squares and lines.
I love how you think of Chanels as repressed. They always make me feel like I should lose weight and do my hair properly.
I’m proud of my selection for the CP: L’heure bleue (1919). First, boogie-woogie emerged from African American blues, and second, the word “blue” is often also associated with jazz clubs (“blue note”), and third, I bet some people may have been wearing it in NYC when Mondrian was living there. Since I wore Mitsouko yesterday I feel I’m on a bit of a classic Guerlain kick…. too bad I am not a Shalimar fan, but I bet I can make another good selection tomorrow!
Oops, 1912!
You smell wonderful and are a hard act to follow!😁
LOL! Do I win the CP today? ;-).
Wow, my bottle is old, one I found in an antique store, and half gone. It is INCREDIBLY sweet. I’d forgotten how sweet this scent is. It still has a delightfully rich muskiness though.
I have a mini of vintage LHB and like so many fragrances, I would wear this all the time if it still smelled like this. The current version is too powdery for me.
We were almost twins, I considered it but felt it was too much of a commitment for my mood of the day.
What a great choice!
Like everything about this!
And you fit in with Mondrian’s timeline perfectly with LHB. He was definitely producing works in 1912.
Truly inspired creativity here Calypso! Now I want to smell L’Heure Bleue!
I Love NY❤️, inspired by tulipani.
And when Mr. allo is away, this cat will play with tuberose (and jasmine)!
And I obviously haven’t worn it in awhile because I didn’t remember the proper name, Vamp à NY❤️
Whoo hoo, indolic note party!
I always know you’ll be ready to party with me!💃💃
Bond no 9 New Haarlem.
Good choice, and you smell really wonderful. I used to have a decant of this and wish I still did. It was one of the best Bonds (I’d also have to mention Chinatown) and that Andy Warhol one.
I have this on the huge bottle as well as Chinatown. I love them both. I also have Noho Nights. Agree that it’s a great scent!!!! And Bond no 9 began in my home city so I guess it’s appropriate for this cp?
My thoughts exactly on Bond 9. New Haarlem was so good, I hated to thunk my decant.
I wasn’t going to participate in the CP this week as I did not feel any of my scents would work. However, I will take a half point for going with the red color. I know it’s pretty lame, but it works for me.
Lush Rose Jam and Shikai Yuzu shower gels
Weleda Pampering Wild Rose Body Lotion
FM Portrait of a Lady
I used to have that Weleda lotion, wonder why I stopped buying it. All your roses sound lovely 🌹
Thanks! I am not sure who it was, maybe Kanuka, that told me about that Weleda lotion. Anyway, I had never heard of that brand so had to seek it out. I found it on Amazon.
Not lame at all Kris!
Oh, good.
You aren’t the only person who went with a color scheme for this CP.
I guess not.
Color was my plan too!
Then I am in good company😉
Your Plan B sounds marvelous! And mixing two shower gels together- impressive Lris!
Kris! 🌹
Avocado today instead of a smoothie
I reached for Yardley Jade today for its promise of spring, all drugstore shoppers in the UK noticed it resembles Cristalle edt, a little bit sweeter, Yardley changed the name soon after release, it is now Flora Jade and I haven’t tried it since then, I hope it’s still the same. I’ve used half of my bottle already. Tonight for the CP I chose Deep Red, I had already worn Giorgio Red a little while back, DR is rich but light wearing, maybe not a perfumista’s choice but I’m very fond of it.
Perfume that makes you happy is always the best
Thank you Kanuka, it does and it’s a vintage bottle😉
I went thru 3 bottles of Hugo Boss Deep Red. Have part of the last bottle left. I received perfume compliments wearing it years ago.
I’m going to see the travel agent this morning, to organise the last details of the trip to Europe next month! I’m hoping he likes Nahema as much as I do, because I’m wearing quite a lot of it 🙂 .
Love Nahema. You smell fantastic!
Where will you be travelling, Gaynor? I think you mentioned Paris, a while back.
Nahema is gorgeous!
I look at that Mondrian painting and I think “linear.” Actually most of his work strikes me as linear. So to go with linear, I chose a perfume with no development: Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc. Usually I wear this at night but I picked it for the CP today. I just went to PT and need something comforting now.
Hi foxbins. I saw your post yesterday and would like to send you some Hermes absolue if you would like. I am gm raz oog in yahoo land ( no spaces)
Also you smell great in Pure Musc. It lives up to its name imo.
Reached way in the back of the cabinet today for Fumerie Turque.
When I wear this I wonder, how could I wear anything else?
Rain all day yesterday and chilly here in LA.
For those who asked yesterday – yes, there is a perfume museum in the Grand Bazarre in Istanbul and they also have a shop in the airport.
The last time I was there was with he who must not be named, so there was no visiting of the perfume museum.
We are going in September, expecting perfect weather. It will be my sisters birthday when we travel together. I can remember her 15th birthday? and we went together to see Peter, Paul and Mary.
Here we are in our 70s – still traveling together through it all. So lucky we are.
Apsara you have spent a lifetime with musical greatness. I love hearing your concert stories.
A perfume museum shop in an airport?!? Whoa.
I totally agree with you about Fumerie Turque and love hearing stories about you and your sister. What an incredible bond you share. And traveling together is the true test of love💕
That is such a moving story apsara! PP&M ftw !
SOTD = Chanel Bleue de Chanel Parfum
💙💙💙 So good I have to wonder why I don’t wear it more often!

In my never-ending quest for decluttering, I got an email yesterday about “How to Stop Buying Stuff You Don’t Need” and I have been “pretty good” about it for now given my low buy. In addition to tips, I also now have a new terminology I need to keep reminding myself: sentimental clutter, which I hope will push me to not hold back. In any case, these were tips listed in the article:
– Make purchasing less convenient. The example provided was delete your credit card info so one has to get up and get the card to purchase. NB: perhaps I should stop memorizing the numbers!
– Don’t buy for your “future self”.
– Try a purchase pause. For example, instead of buying immediately, list the item(s) on your notepad and also how you were feeling when you listed the item. Go back to the list in about a week’s time and you are more than likely to have moved on from the obsession (my word).
– Save space by borrowing. This is so NOT me and I will leave it alone…
Sentimental clutter is hard to get rid of. I have made strides though.
You are absolutely right! The specific example was a set of dishes that the author had not used in a decade. I have plenty (multiple plenties) of these and I just need to get rid of them.
Sentimental clutter is very difficult to deal with. I have a fair amount of it myself.
It’s a little late, but maybe give up buying stuff for Lent?
My sister likes to restrict herself from eating sweets. I know she’s successful in avoiding obvious sweets but I am not sure if she can say that she’s successfully conquered this restriction.
The purchase pause idea is a very good tip and I only wish I could make myself adhere to that. Sadly, when the urge to buy arrives, it comes attached with a big sign in flashing letters that says “NOW!”
About 30 minutes after I left my comment, I found my way to Home Goods. I could not resist these wooden flowers and I bought them all (3). For me, I think I need to limit myself to a once in two weeks visit!
House twins today!
Woohoo! I just realized yesterday that I have an uberly perfect perfume to wear today for this past week’s CP!
Trying Une Nuit Nomade Sugar Leather today…it’s nice but quite similar to Angels’ Share but w/ leather. I used to be anti-leather but have seen the error of my ways…at least when it has some vanilla or leans gourmand…then I am ok. 😉
Two audits completed this week 💪🏻 although the projects and deliverables for these programs don’t end until April and May…still enjoying have the formal audits done! ✅
Our weather has reverted back to the gloomy, chilly, snowy rain of earlier this week, but I’m staying in Spring mode with Balmain’s Vent Vert (1991 version) as my SOTD and cp choice.
When I first looked at the painting, my response was the same as Deva’s post earlier this week – nothing. Someone else mentioned ‘PacMan’ and I had to agree with that one. And thank you, Robin, for the links you posted that helped me finally to clarify and focus on my response, and that was – motion, movement, dance. Jazz, boogie woogie, even PacMan, all are about movement. And that’s what I saw in Vent Vert – Green wind! The letters on the bottle are written in such a way as to convey a sense of motion, the jaunty polka-dot ribbon around the neck of the bottle, and the slightly-tilted glass ‘feather’ on the top all convey that same sense of swift movement, just like a boogie-woogie, and I think the strong galbanum note I love so much is an in-your-face note as well. Not the early 1940’s, in New York, but I think 1947 is close enough. I would also say that, although Vent Vert is a green floral fragrance, the colors of the painting can be found inside the many, many scent notes in this fragrance, which include lemon, rose, and violet plus a whole bunch more. So I’m claiming points today!
So thanks again, Robin, for making my brain work overtime on this one! 😊 I enjoy these community projects so much!
Have a good weekend, everyone! 💚
Oooooooooh, galbanum is a good match!
Cold and cloudy here today. I saw a bit of snow flying around late last night, but it didn’t amount to anything. Supposedly it snowed this morning, too. Another nada. Bet lillyjo would love to see this kind of snow. 😉❄️❄️
When I saw the picture of “Broadway Boogie Woogie” the word “aldehydes” popped into my mind. And the reference scent for aldehydes is Chanel No. 5. But I don’t get along with the parent formulation. So I went with the next best thing.
SOTD = Chanel No. 5 L’Eau EdT. I have the cute cute cute 35mL bottle. Lillyjo gets an Enabler Pin for it!
I saw the same snow this afternoon! It looked pretty bad in the air but melted on the pavement instantly.
Smelling great in L’Eau!
That is so funny we were “false alarm snow twins”!
Thanks for the perfume compliment. I would never have tried L’Eau if it wasn’t for you.
Love you in L’Eau!
Thank you!
L’Eau is a goody.
Well, we got the snow, but only about 3 inches. We need moisture badly, which it did provide as it was the heavy stuff, but it wasn’t enough. Hopefully, we will get the needed moisture in the form of rain as we appear to be going toward a warming trend this coming week.
Thanks Kris!
It rained here earlier this week, but not enough to erase the drought. Things are looking better in some parts of Colorado, though.
I went kinda literal and wore Jazz Berry Mint by Soivohle/Liz Zorn for the CP. I really enjoy this piece of art, but my brain was just too challenged to make a really good connection to a perfume.
Is that a new one from Soivohle?
Not super new but pretty recent, I think. I got it as a freebie when I purchased a few 15ml bottles from her in Q3 2023. I think it’s nice, but I believe I’m going to put it up for swap. I’m trying to be more discerning, and it has that base that is common among some of her perfumes. So I feel like I already have a couple from her similar to it.
Thanks to Kanuka mentioning it the other day, I am wearing Gucci Rush. I always forget how much I love it until I wear it.
You smell wonderful!
I always think of warm stereo components when someone mentions Gucci Rush. And cassette mix tapes.
IDK if anyone will see this, but I figured I’d post it anyway.
