Fragrance was the standout growth driver for Coty, particularly in the prestige category, which grew 6% in reported revenue. ... Coty also reported that Marc Jacobs Daisy Wild, launched at the beginning of the year, is now in the top three female fragrances for the U.K. and Germany. The company reported that, while it is a comparatively small portion of the Coty portfolio, the ultra-premium fragrance category saw a 17% growth in like-for-like sales.

Oh my goodness, I think the first perfume I ever bought for myself (after years of aunts sending me Avon Pretty Peach products!) was Coty’s L’Aimant – I think I was 14 or 15 years old (am now in my mid 60s & choice was of course much more limited).
But still, that was a sophisticated choice for a teenager!
And believe me, I wasn’t sophisticated at that point by any stretch of the imagination! Knowing what I know now, it was probably the lily of the valley note that attracted me – it was my mum’s favourite flower, she had it in her wedding bouquet & we always had it in our garden, everywhere we lived.
