Happy Almost-Friday and happy National Orange Blossom Day! It's also National PTSD Awareness Day and Canadian Multiculturalism Day. Birthdays: Paul Laurence Dunbar, Helen Keller, Norma Kamali, Vera Wang, Alice McDermott. What fragrance are you wearing?
Me: more points, and smelling great, in Prosody London's Lissom Linden.
Reminder: 6/28 is Henry VIII's birthday, and we're off to England. Wear a perfume that is named for a place in England, or that reminds you of a (real or imaginary) trip to England, or that features a local ingredient, or ?
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2024, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Penhaligon’s Blenheim Bouquet.
– For England, Glannys?
– No, for me.

(Well, for England i.e. the CP, too.)
LOL…England will take your offering even if you don’t mean it 🙂
So perfect!
Thanks!
Shalimar today, a small spritz of the original and a small of the tonka flanker.
I picked up The Fire Next Time, as homework for the library and to help me with the Baldwin exhibition.
A little Chanel foundation and a Sisley lippy blotted down to a stain
Watching a lot of the Euro cup and looking forward to the matches this weekend.
Ok the makeup is elegant-I love Sisley lipstick, too:). I am organizing my perfume stash and found about 7 bottles of Shalimar. Think my favourite is a leathery little EDC-the iris note is really pronounced. I’ll always love Shalimar.
I absolutely love Shalimar in the summer (in all its forms)! The Tonka flanker blooms so beautifully during this season.
I’ve also heard some buzz that they might be releasing another flanker this fall. Can’t wait to see what they come up with
Delphine Jelk is cranking out perfumes for the House of Guerlain like a fragrance-making machine! I can barely keep up with all the new scents. Anyone else feel this way?
Yes, they are doing another flanker. I had heard it was rose scented, but someone said the other day they had heard jasmine. I guess that means we will see in the next few months. I think they have been coming out in September.
I have heard they are releasing another L’Art & La Matière soon.
I am interested in all Shalimar and flankers. Even if it is Jasmine or Rose!
I like all of this but wish Mr Wasser would come back lol He is there..obviously, but Jelk has the perfumes popping out of her hands like an assembly line.
Hello.
Sotd is TF White Suede. First sample that caught my eye so, yep.
My current range oven is dying (3 of the 5 hobs are 50% functional – and they are the most powerful ones) so I ordered a replacement. But due to the various reasons, the cargo ship is forced to make detours and circle around. I was told the range would arrive end of May, then end of this month (tomorrow to be exact). I went to the shop today to confirm and to make sure I called for an installation crew and disposing service, instead I was told the ship is still on the other side of the world and now the ETA has been pushed to end of July! UGH! Cooking has been super difficult and boiling water/soup takes eons. I can barely sautee or stir-fry anything.
That sounds annoying about your stove and I hope you can find a temporary solution
Fingers crossed it arrives soon!
Living without a stove is tough! Perhaps it might be worth it to buy a portable burner in the meantime. I just looked up induction models, since I’ve been interested in trying that. It strikes me that this would be safer, plus more efficient. It probably involves a learning curve, but you can use the pans you already have, as long as you test the bottom with a magnet and they stick. HTH!
That is a great idea! Also, I am thinking about using this time as an excuse to get myself an Instant Pot. I love kitchen gadgets.
It truly sucks when a major appliance is on the fritz.
I am grateful at least it’s not failed heating in the dead of winter. 😬
Don’t know if it helps, but in case:
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tillreda-portable-induction-cooktop-1-zone-white-10493520/
and good luck!
No points for me since I’m still in France. 🇫🇷 Wearing Chanel BoE for an early start today. Dropping doggo off in a bit for a dental then will run a bunch of errands while in town. Storms headed this way and I’m hoping to make it back to home base before it gets bad. Happy Thursday!
Be safe!
Hope everything is fine with T-Rex on the dental front and that you are safely back home.
You still smell great anyway! Good luck avoiding the storms, and sending hugs for both of you.
Hope that you took care of all your tasks before the storm(s) rolled in. How’s T-Rex doing?
I had no idea it was Multicultural Day – and I’m Canadian 🙂
I’m in Muguet Porcelain, and wondering why it was discontinued. I find it has lasting power and presence-just doesn’t fill the entire room and last for a week 🙂 I really love lily of the valley.
Either did my better half, also Canadian
I had no idea either, carole!
I love LOTV too; sad this was discontinued.
Wearing another thing I bought in England: Dior Eau Sauvage, from a set of minis at Heathrow in probably 2007. It’s just so good, one of the best men’s scents ever: a bright, surprisingly durable classic cologne.
Sounds nice 😊
I love that one!
You smell great, and I agree with you! Actually, I would say it’s *the* best men’s scent ever.
I’m wearing another 4711 AC. This time it’s Lychee & White Mint. As I was driving to work I smelled something good and realized it was me. Always a nice realization.
I tried that one a few weeks ago and loved it.
Continuing with English theme for the CP I’m wearing two more today I have in the Jo Malone British Summer Fete collection bottles from a few years ago. But, it also turned out to be a theme of memories of berry picking as a kid. Right now I’m wearing Elderflower Cordial and this same fragrance was also called Elderflower & Gooseberry in their previous Sugar & Spice collection. I got it because it has a gooseberry note that takes me back to eating gooseberries from both my mother and grandmother’s gardens. The other for later today is
Blackberry & Bay which makes me recall going wild blackberry picking.
My childhood did not include berry picking (and I have managed to avoid it through adulthood too, despite my sister trying to drag me blueberry picking every summer). But all that sounds fun!
What a great choice for the CP!
I’m in Ormonde Jayne Champaca this morning.
I am thinking that will be my Friday scent!
Wearing Silver-Man from Amouage, (which is sort of a daytime version of Gold-Man,) and enjoying a gorgeous morning in LA.
Love your description!
By the way, I didn’t get around to posting yesterday, but I bet you rocked that Flambeau. I remember falling for Woodhue at a young age when I sneaked a sniff from the bottle of my friend’s mom.
Thanks, AnnE! The Flambeau settled down really nicely – more warm and spicy, rather than sweet. Of course, I’ve never smelled the original so I don’t know how my (old, but not THAT old) bottle compares, or what shape it’s in, but it sure is fun to travel back in time via scent.😊
It sure is! I bought a small bottle of the Woodhue a few years ago, but -guess what- it didn’t smell the same as I remembered it. 😁
I was just catching up with yesterday’s posts and saw yours about Flambeau. If you’d like to try non-Vintage Baghari, do let me know. I’d be happy to send you a sample!
Oh, that is so nice of you! Happy to send you some Flambeau, which is (I’m guessing) 30 or 40 years old. Click on my name here, and you’ll find my web site, which includes my contact info.😊
Wearing Weekend in Normandy, which, while from a French house, I thought could work for the CP. Surely there are Brits who go over to Normandy for a weekend?
Also, on the theme of Henry VIII (what a terrible human), I went to see Six last night!
Ah, how was Six??
I’m wearing Jour d’Hermes this morning while I wait for a contractor to come and give me an estimate about replacing the patio cover. It’s more than thirty years old and starting to leak. I would really like to do it myself with a handyman helper and if the estimate comes in high I may go that way.
The estimate came in at reasonable cost! About the same as me + handyman so I will let the pros do it, and they will dispose of the old one too.
It’s always a relief when things cost less than you expect. 😊
Yay for being able to outsource that particular task at a reasonable cost!
I think I’ll honor Orange Blossom today with my scent today–later on after my shower. I’m having a lazy morning.
I don’t generally wear dresses any more, but they really are cooler in our awful summers. I’m very frustrated trying to find a nice sundress. Yesterday I actually went to a department store to look, but the dress styles now are terrible, with ruffles everywhere, tucks and tiers, and puffy sleeves–ugh–and everything is in polyester or rayon. Neither is viable in our hot climate. I want something simple, cotton or linen or a blend, with some short sleeves and mid length and NO RUFFLES. Anyone have any suggestions?
Here are 100% cotton dresses from Nordies?
https://www.nordstrom.com/browse/women/clothing/dresses?filterByMaterial=100-cotton
Oh, wow, there are some nice ones there! Naturally, my eyes skipped over the $40 options and went straight to the $160 dress from Boden! I might just go to our Nordie’s store soon to see some of them in person there. Thank you!
(PS: It’s a plus that they let you search on the material; other websites I’ve been looking at don’t have that option.)
https://elkthelabel.com/en-nz/collections/sale-dresses
Elk is an Australian company and ship to USA ($25AU) and uses mostly cotton and linen and is well-made.
Oh, they have some really nice fabric colors and patterns. And I like that they’re not frou-frou styles. Thank you!
I generally like J Jill for cotton and linen items…lots of sales now.
Yes, I do have a couple of theirs, and may go to their store soon to see what they have in my size. I like their simplicity of design and good fabrics.
I live in dresses in the summer. I have a condition that makes my blood pressure drop crazily in the heat, so I need to stay as cool as possible, and the most temperate dresses I’ve found all come from Saint James, the nautical French brand. Their stretchy dresses are synthetic fiber, but they are UV protective and light and so, so cooling. Their cotton dresses are fabulous, too. I’ve tried the billowy cottony dresses from US/French brands, but they are hot, too voluminous, and overpowering on my frame. Saint James isn’t cheap, but they last for years with active, active, hard wear.
Thanks! I’ll check them out.
I like the nautical prints! Very nice!
I try to stick to cotton and linen during the summer, but it’s so hard to find dresses that are 100% of either! The struggle is real! 😅
I totally agree with you about the hideous clothes lately!!! 😖 jjill used to sell lots of natural-fabric clothing, but it’s getting harder to find there, too. Garnet Hill has decent stuff, if you don’t need special sizing. For me, though, since I need petites, my choices are extremely limited. I’ve bought myself a new sewing machine and will try to make as many as I can for myself.
I love COS for the dresses. I got a nice linen dress last year, I wear it all the time.
I agree with you on the unappealing (to me) designs that are everywhere. Hello, I’m a mature woman, I don’t want ruffles, or gathered tiers, or “statement sleeves”! I want styles that look like Jackie Kennedy in the 1960s, thank you very much, in breathable natural fibers.
Good morning. Jo Malone Wild Fig and Cassis for me today. Are there fig trees in England or is it too cold? Cornwall mebbe? Well JM is British so there’s that. My sister and sister in law love that one and I have gotten both of them bottles over the years, including a small one for myself, but it is getting harder to source now that it’s discontinued. I like it and find it refreshing on hot days and it was perfect after a run and a shower this morning.
I remember seeing fig trees in the southern part of England.
Oh yes we do, I can speak for London because mild winters. Down south there are even palm trees, there is one on my street. And then there’s the southwest, Devon and Cornwall.
Never would have guessed that there are palm trees in England!
Hello,
Élisire Eau Papaguéna.
Always liked this one.
Have a great day 🌹
I have never heard of it!
Hope your Thursday was good too Omega.
Not from Berlin but Anna of Cleves was German, so I am in La Fille de Berlin, and I smell great.
Thunder and lightening last night, a bit cooler today…yeah!
La Fille de Berlin is a wonderful pick for this CP.
We were weather twins last night. I’m waiting to see if I get more thunderstorms tonight.
Taking a break from England as it’s Matariki here – the Maori New Year when Matariki ( Pleiades) rises early in the morning. Henry 8 built up his naval fleet, and is associated with sea power, but Aotearoa/ NZ would not have featured on his map as he died about 100 years before the place was “discovered” by Europeans. A public holiday today, mid-winter new year. So, an English brand Penhaligon with a dark sky theme, Luna for a semi-CP
Enjoy your day off!
Thanks. I hope your Baldwin reading/work is going well. Giovanni’s Room is a pretty powerful read, eh?
I am not keen to tell you that I haven’t read it. This book I have is my very first. The curator had us read an essay by him, but I was the only one who didn’t raise my hand when he asked “Who has read some of Baldwins books?”
It’s a great book and short, too. Gripping read.

Orange Blossom Day! Oh, how fabulous—a favorite note! I honor it by wearing Perfumer H Suede, which has a beautiful orange blossom in it.
Question for Orange Blossom lovers: How is the Houbigant Orange Blossom? How soapy is it? How nutmeg-y? I’m all ears.
Do you mean Orangers en Fleurs? It is lovely. I would not call it soapy or spicy. A big white floral.
Thank you! Yes, that’s the one I mean (I apologize, I didn’t even give the name of it). And I love the way you capture it.
Wearing a sample of Claus Porto’s Agua Vetiver and it is really nice. I just might have to buy a bottle – does anyone know if it’s sold anywhere in Canada or the US?
My pharmacy sells it https://www.eislerchemist.com
but you may have to buy in person only
https://theshoehive.com/products/agua-de-colonia-vetiver-cologne-by-claus-porto?
Thanks for the suggestions! Will report back if there is any luck…
My theme today is simple, so I went with Marc Jacobs Daisy.
I know several non-perfumistas who love MJ Daisy.
Frozen mango and yogurt smoothie
I didn’t get around to commenting yesterday but was participating with two Penhaligon’s rose scent Hammam Bouquet one of their historical perfumes and Elisabethan Rose, vintage version, now on Fragrantica’s catalogue. Today I’m in Violetta, so fond of this discontinued one and tonight it’s Bal à Versailles parfum de toilette.
I recently learned the hard way to double check the labels of yogurt at the grocery store. Picked up some non-fat yogurt by mistake. Bleh!
Can you give it to Teflon? My Schnooky loved yogurt.
Finished up my vacuuming and currently burning a Bath and Body Works Cypress candle. In Epic right now. I think Jicky would work for tomorrow because of the lavander.
Jicky is a great idea!
As Kanuka said, it’s Matariki here, and I’m very much looking forward to the long weekend. I had a lovely long weekend with my mother, but it’s great to have another at home to catch up with myself.
I am still wafting last night’s Salome, it’s the absolute opposite of everything I think of as English, but Liz Moores seems so very English.
When I go out later, I’ll mark Orange Blossom Day in L’Or de Louis.
Oh, that’s what I chose too after my shower! Isn’t it beautiful?!
Random recipe of the day, for those who partake of adult beverages…this is from “A Beautiful Mess” which I came upon randomly and thought was so cute. Then I learned that they are a juggernaut of the internet. Still cute, just makes the advertising seem a little disingenuous…anyway, here’s a recipe for:
Gin + Tonic Popsicles, makes 10 ice pops!!!!
6 oz. gin
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
3 cups tonic water
cucumber slices for garnish
popsicle mold and sticks
For those really hot days!
What a great idea!
Yes, I thought so! It was cool here in Michigan today, but the next day we are slated to hit 87 degrees, that recipe is coming out!
I am feeling very English today in my Sandalwood Cologne from Geo. F. Trumper and my English Rose body powder from Yardley. This is such a nice, old-fashioned, and very proper cologne. I like it a lot! I would never name it Sandalwood, since it has a lot of help from floral and vanilla notes, but I think the extra facets are what make it so polite and understated.
That sounds really good!
I liked that Sandalwood too, and GFT had another fragrance I liked…it will come to me later.
I’m off today and it is beautiful out. For my birthday last week, I received a gift card for evil bay from my work family. I’ve never bought anything from there before but have been browsing. I’ve narrowed my wish list down to.. 1. Angel Peony. 2. Gucci Accenti and 3. Krazy Krizia which would be a blind buy. Can anyone tell me is it too similar to Opium and Cinnabar?
My sotd is Mugler Wonder Bouquet.
Not sure if you watch Sebastian (The Perfume Guy), but Krazy Krizia is mentioned here. You can just scroll to the specific review if you don’t want to watch the whole video.
https://youtu.be/rx8QicFXrLI?si=BHHn-lWx11g4vFZP
I’m excited to hear what you will pick!
Thanks Gail! Sebastian almost has me sold!
On the Krizia?
Yes. Sorry I didn’t specify.
How nice! I’ve often wondered about the Krazy Krizia, too. Let us know what you decide on.
Did you enjoy your birthday otherwise?
I worked but still had a nice day.
Happy to hear that you’re having a nice day on your day off.
Between those 3 choices, I’d go for the Angel Peony. It’s pretty close to Unobtainium Status.
I know. The only thing that is stopping me is the question ” how many versions of Angel does one person need?”
“As many as you want?” J/k!
I know!
Honestly I am leaning towards the Gucci. I have the little sample and love it so. I bought a bottle back when it came out but talked myself into returning it. The return was a perfume regret.
Ah. That changes things.
Have fun choosing your evil bay gift!
So many choices!
SOTD = Zara Leather Jardin
So nice! It’s very leathery cologne-y today.
https://www.instagram.com/p/C8u6OtcRjWC/?igsh=M2h6NjYxbHBiOHFp
In other news, more articles on alcohol consumption, this time, while flying. Perhaps it is just me but the method seems questionable to me; I am no scientist. Also, because I made this mistake once (and probably because I was upgraded to first class only once), do not even THINK of drinking champagne before a flight. I felt sorry for myself for a good long hour.
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/25/well/eat/drinking-alcohol-airplanes.html?unlocked_article_code=1.200.UyoL.qyY3a-IwwvJv&smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare
Leather Jardin is great. I may wear tomorrow.
It is very nice! Today was my second time wearing it and it smells different – better! The first time was also good.
I couldn’t imagine drinking on an airplane, especially if there us turbulence.
This is what I worry about with turbulence. I try to only fill the cup halfway although this would be impossible when I ask for tea.
I bought the Leather Jardin lemming I sniffed, and it turned out well for a change.
I cannot even contemplate drinking champagne on a flight. Just the thought makes me queasy.
I should have thought of this before I accepted the “perk”.
Leather Jardin was a great blind buy for me.
I won’t drink alcohol on an airplane for 3 reasons: It’s dehydrating. I get plenty parched as it is on a flight. Nearly all of what I see on planes lately is stuff I won’t touch. And the stuff I would drink is WAY too expensive!
So I agree with all your points; however, you only live once and pretty much if you can “afford” to fly, what’s an extra $x? I only said this because people who post questions and / or answers for cruise-related questions worry about whether or not they are getting a good deal when they get the Have It All package (usually 15 drinks per day, $50 or $100 credit for specialty dining, $100 excursion credit, free WiFi and sometimes crew appreciation which could be ~ $20 per day).
I usually fly budget airlines where you have to pay for *everything*. And the drink options are ridiculously overpriced for what they are.
I can get much better stuff on the ground, LOL!
I’ve heard many positive things about Leather Jardin. You smell great!
Wearing Lush Silky Underwear today. I had to check my bottle; it’s dated from 2011. Ended up ordering it when they had Forum sales around Halloween way back when. It still smells like perfection; the bottle is the black matte version so I have no idea how much is left.
Maybe the dark bottle helped it keep its smell perfect.
It very well could be! Never thought of that.
There is a way to guesstimate how full an opaque perfume bottle is. Shake it. A higher pitched sound means less perfume.
Brilliant! Thank you.. I have 3 in the same style bottle; had to shake them all, Silky Underwear, Ginger and Big. I’d say I have less than 1/2 of SU, about 1/2 of Ginger and over 1/2 of Big.
You’re welcome!
Physics can be our friend sometimes. 😎
That is such great stuff. I still have some left too.
Report on dress-shopping today: I did go to J Jill, as jepster suggested above, since I wanted to be able to try things on if I could to test the size and fit and length. And I got two 100% cotton dresses! They also had some other nice linen and cotton pants and tops. I was pleased. I can’t find a photo of one of them, which has a cute green and white print and is knee-length, but here is one I bought in the vivid cobalt blue color. Luckily it came in petite because I am short. It has good arm coverage and a good length and will look nice enough for when I am to give a conference presentation in Santa Fe in mid-July. I just have to figure out jewelry and sandals.
https://www.jjill.com/product/cotton-gauze-one-pocket-shirtdress?color=LLD&searchTerm=dresses
Looks perfect – congrats!
That is cute!
Very nice!
You might enjoy these as well. Double layer gauze so no slip and no show. I just nought the one linked below and love it. Easily dressed up or down, belt it or wear it as is. I bough the longer length but they do come in a shorter version as well.
https://ripskirthawaii.com/collections/travel-dress/products/al-mare-travel-dress-long
I do like that print!
Very pretty prints!
Oh, I like that one.
That’s lovely! Ever since I retired at the end of last summer, I’ve held off on most clothes purchases until I figure out 1) where to donate most of my former work outfits; and 2) what my current style will be. I did, though, buy some very nice, comfy tops from J. Jill that i can wear with jeans. You’ll look great AND smell great!
I’ve been terrible about commenting this week, but I’ve wearing British perfume brands the last few days. Today it’s the discounted La Pluie from when Lyn Harris was still the owner of Miller Harris. Yesterday it was ånd Fragrance Får, which I’d probably plan to buy a travel spray of if it wasn’t sold out at Indigo. And Tuesday it was Jo Malone Emerald Thyme, which is pleasant but not super interesting.
Emerald Thyme is a great name. I haven’t heard of it before.
It is a great name. It’s part of what I think is their most recent collection, the one based on British flea markets. I bought the discovery set, but for me, none are turning into full bottle purchases.
PSA: Soivohle’s website is back up, and Liz Zorn is clearing out her oil perfumes. They will not be restocked once they are gone. Also, some of the EdPs and Extraits are back up.
Time to give a shout out to lillyjo! Thanks for saving me from a smishing scam! I had a questionable text message on my phone early Tuesday morning. I wasn’t quite awake the first time I read it, and decided not to do anything about it until I could think. When I looked at it a second (and third) time, I realized it was the USPS scam that lillyjo had mentioned she got before Father’s Day.
So I didn’t click the link and marked the offending text as spam.
Looks like Zara’s website here in the US is not working properly. I decided I was going to get another of the Jo Malone x Zara perfumes after all. But the website won’t let me complete the order. Money saved, but in a super annoying manner. 😤🤬
SOTD = Dame Perfumery’s Orange Flower Body Butter in the usual spots for National Orange Blossom Day. Commando elsewhere.
So glad you spotted the scam!
It helped that I wasn’t expecting anything from USPS. Then I got suspicious and checked the scam number against the numbers of the local post offices. It didn’t match.
I got one just the other day too.
Which Zara scent were you going to get? I’m eyeing the leather jardin but trying to not blind buy. I was in a rather large Zara store in Germany, but even there I couldn’t find any of the Jo Malone ones to test out.
Parfait d’Orchidee.
I have the Leather Jardin already, and am saving it for cooler weather. Like October-ish.
Thank goodness you did not click on the link!
The Zara website is iffy: the front desk person at our hotel in Iceland was gushing about Zara perfumes and she wrote down a few of her favorites. I looked them up and was gobsmacked with the huge number of perfumes but none of the ones that were part of the Leather Jardin series. I got tired of looking and will try again some other time.
Today is the first time I have had any issues with the Zara site. Probably doesn’t help that there’s a sale going on.
Glad you were able to avoid the scam 🙂
Thanks Omega!
NST is a treasure trove of information for sure.
The Zara website is working now.
I was able to get further along in the process a couple of minutes ago, but it still didn’t accept payment.
Phooey!
Commando today except for some scented dry shampoo from this morning. Our wayward luggage have finally been delivered today, hooray! What’s not cheerful is that my mild cold turned out to be Covid. Quite manageable for me, but my husband is a bit sick while my son seems perfectly fine. Covid being as puzzling as ever! I am very relieved not to have lost my sense of smell.
Yuck on getting COVID!
Oy! Hope you feel better soon!
Just curious why people still test for COVID? Unless one wants to take Paxlovid (or any drugs similar to it), the guidelines for COVID have all gone facacta 🤷🏻♀️
Yes, I share the same thoughts! I actually didn’t test myself until after my husband tested himself, and it was more out of curiosity since my illness was so much milder than his. As for him, I don’t know why he bothered testing, ha!
Hope you recover quickly and continue to keep your sense of smell.
Oh dear, sorry tulipani.
I’m so sorry! Four of out our family of five got COVID in early-mid June, and it definitely started out feeling like a mild cold. I hadn’t even thought of testing for COVID until an acquaintance said something that triggered my thought that, Wait, this could be COVID. So I tested and of course it was. We’re all fully recovered now, though, thank goodness, and I hope you and yours recover quickly too!
I have to keep reminding myself not to overdo, though, as I still felt tired for a while. So I hope you can take it easy and take good care of yourself!
I’ve been wearing samples from my Penhaligon’s Portraits discovery set this week! It’s such an “English” concept. Thursday’s SOTD was The Coveted Duchess Rose, and Friday’s will be my favorite so far, The Revenge of Lady Blanche.
In other news, we finally got some rain! My garden and I are gasping in relief. I hope we get more in the coming week as forecast, since I’ll be out of town and I’ll have to rely on my daughter to do the watering.
