Happy Friday and happy National Bourbon Day! It's also Flag Day and World Blood Donor Day. Birthdays: Harriet Beecher Stowe, Alois Alzheimer, Jerzy Kosiński, Laurie Colwin, Boy George. Our community project this week: it's Roulette Friday! Devise a game of chance to choose your fragrance of the day. Thank you AnnieA for the suggestion!
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
No points for me this week! I am still on vacation, and still in unscented lotion that I have doctored with sweet orange and ylang ylang oils. When I get home tomorrow I'll pick a random sample to participate a day late. I am also again way behind on reading comments and will try to catch up on Sunday.
Reminder: on 6/21, it's summer — the solstice is on Thursday. Celebrate the season with your bestest summer fragrance. If you're in the southern hemisphere, adjust accordingly.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2024, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Happy Friday, everyone!
Reached into my ever-growing grab bag of samples (without looking) and selected “Bleu de Chanel – Parfum.” Somehow I’ve never actually worn it. This will be the last time.
Hope everyone has better luck with the wheel of chance!
But Daniel — tell us what you REALLY think of Bleu. 😆
What Thumper’s daddy said.😊
Obviously, not a like.
Liquid cynicism to me.
You’ve got to know when to hold ’em
Know when to fold ’em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
Perfect! I think we know Daniel is running 😂
Well, I certainly know when to shower.
LOL!
Ew, Perfume Fail!
Indeed. I’ve moved on to Trayee from Neela Vermeire. Intoxicating stuff.😊
Quite the fragrant turnaround. You smell really good now Daniel.
As I said on Tuesday, my game of chance was the coin toss: I numbered my Serge Lutens scents 0-15, tossed a coin four times for each day of the week to make four-digit binary numbers (heads = 1, tails = 0), and wore the corresponding scent. Today it’s Rahät Loukoum, such a pleasure, sweet and comforting. I was slightly disturbed to discover that there was some kind of sediment in the bottom of the bottle, but there’s nothing growing in it and it hasn’t gone bad: sometimes things just precipitate out of a fragrance. It still smells great.
You smell fabulous. I treasure my bell jar of this.
Oh the disturbing sediments… I had a perfume that had those bits as well. I felt too disgusted to keep using it so in the bin it went. Luckily it wasn’t something precious.
I know just what you mean! I was kind of horrified at first, but it’s a spray bottle so I know it’s not outside contamination like skin flakes or whatnot. Once I read about precipitation in some fragrances I stopped worrying about it. If it goes wrong (colour change, murkiness, weird smell), I’ll know. It’s happened before.
Oh, I like your idea! Never tried your SOTD, but I am sure you smell delicious.
If you dab from a bell jar, it might be skin and dust from the environment. My ISM has a bit collected from over the years….
No, it’s a spray. I bet most of us have some experience with dabber bottles and the disconcerting slurry that collects in the bottom, but this is a bottle that’s never been opened. It’s some sort of spontaneously generated debris, which apparently is a thing that can happen with certain ingredients, particularly natural ones.
Yes, precipitating out! I hope it smells as good. 🙂
Hello and tgif!
Sotd is Good Girl Gone Bad Extreme. If this is what being extremely bad is like then I don’t ever want to be good, lol.
My hair is wafting Lush Candy Rain conditioner and it is also delicious, plus it does work in softening the hair.
I will have to look at that conditioner. I pickup up a tub of the Jasmine Henna last I was there (used to be called something like Fluff Ease?) but didn’t try the other hair things.
I love Candy Rain!
I felt like wearing Diva, so this is what I am wearing.
Instead of randomly choosing a scent, I wrote a small web app in React called the Perfume Pythia. Unfortunately, with all these blackouts and work I did not have time to finish it, so for now it just gives a random suggestion for wearing a scent and a random color you can try matching your SOTD to.
Later I will add buttons like “flower”, “citrus”, “spice” etc. for randomly suggesting a note in each category.
For now, here it is with its limited functionality – https://dstvsz.csb.app/
I’d love to know what you think!
Sounds very fun!
Diva is an excellent thing to feel like wearing, one of the great chypres from a decade bursting with them.
Glannys, your app is fun! I admit that I clicked a lot. I especially like the comment about Shalimar (the oracle is so right).
Thank you! It is fun to make. I want to add more suggestions (serious and humorous), so ideas are welcome.
I can’t wait to try this out! (After work though)
Great fun!
Well done! That’s fun 🙂
Hey, I added note randomizers. Six categories, and each one has only around 10 notes, so obviously it is not Fragrantica. And I need to tweak the style and layout of the buttons to make them look better. But they work!
The Perfume Pythia looks lovely!
How fun! Thank you!
I’m not doing the CP, and just grabbed the first new decant that came to hand. I ended up in another galbanum forward scent, Vert Fougere by Floris.
Grabbing at random sounds like the CP to me…
2nd that! I say you get points, PriscillaE.
Sycomore Chanel
Picked from the sample bag
Yesterday my commentary on Baldwin I will give myself C-
I forgot to mention the most important part which was his love for NYPL!
Anyways, I will try to work on my delivery for next week.
We are always the harshest judges of ourselves. I bet other people hearing your commentary gave it higher than a C-!
Don’t be so tough in yourself. I bet your enthusiasm and knowledge came through just fine, and it’s impossible to remember everything every time.
In the end the patrons loved it but I myself knew what I left out.
I just forgot 😤
There is so much to talk about when talking about Baldwin
I also saw your photo of the various docents, with you there in the back row. A nice-looking group, and many older people. I hope you feel you fit in with all the rest of them. I’m saying that because a good friend of mine has been an art museum docent for some time and there always seems to be scandal and intrigue and in-fighting; I think she’s going to quit, it’s so unpleasant. She’a retired prof, like me.
Personally, I love the program so much that it has become a defining part of my life. There is undoubtedly a “me” before the library and a profoundly transformed “me” after joining this wonderful community.
Yes, I am the youngest of the group ☺️
Your audience enjoyed your presentation, so that’s a plus. And you will do better next time.
I waved my hand over the decants and travel bottles with my eyes closed and landed on PN Pudre de Musc. It goes well with the gently dripping rain.
P.S Robin, you’re welcome!
🙂
Very cool idea AnnieA.
My game was unopened bottles in bags
Grabbed Myrrhe by Headspace. It’s a revelation.
SOTD is Shalimar Body Crème again. Straight out of the fridge, so it not only smells lovely but gives a slight chill on these hot days.
Hoping for some good rain and cooler weather today…🤞
Just read about your bike, sorry Deva! You do smell great.
Saw some prairie dog pups this afternoon when I went for a short walk. They are definitely cute & clueless. Thought of you!
Random sample:
Iris Rebelle Atelier
Bright, clean, citrusy iris.
Works for the hot weather:).
Have a great Friday! 🌹
That’s a great iris!
Not participate in the CP. I just felt like wearing Shalimar MI today. I was trying to think when this came out last year. Was it in the fall? Anxious to see what Guerlain has in store for this year.
Twins, 1 day apart. I wore mine yesterday after a late-day shower. I believe the limited edition Guerlains come out early to mid-September.
I wore Livre Blanc yesterday morning. It was a nice, quiet scent bubble for me. I noticed in the deep drydown that it smelled similar to Bond No. 9 Fire Island, also in the drydown. Overall it seems to be a good scent for days when you don’t know what to put on, plus I think it could be good for layering. First impressions, anyways.
If you would like my bottle, I would be glad to give to you. Just email me at k r i s p o n t o (all together with no spaces) at sio dawt midco dawt net. Like I said, I liked it in the beginning, but not too much now. Something is not sitting right with me.
Thanks Kris! I just emailed you.
SOTD = Lorenzo Pazzaglia Parfums Sun-gria
A lovely 4 sprays today! I pretended to randomize (I have no list 😇) and picked whichever perfume my little heart desired!
Can anyone share a tried and true method to hard boil eggs? I have two eggs left but will be buying more the next time I go to Costco – really soon as I had sticker shock at Wegmans yesterday at the cost of organic eggs! While on the cruise, someone asked for melted butter and bacon bits. I have almost no shy bone in my body so I asked what she was making. She said she will add cut hard boiled eggs to the mixture. I asked if she ever thought about using olive oil instead and she thought for a short beat and said she has not but if she did it will need to be flavored. End of conversation as my omelette was done. ANYWAY, I shudder at using the melted butter and bacon bits at the omelette station because germs 🦠 (not heated!). I will DIY and I am just getting prepared to assemble my ingredients.
No sign of my other egg as yet and I will be leaving shortly …
My mom has a little plastic egg timer that is put into the water along with the real eggs. The timer plays three little tunes — one for soft-boiled, one for halfway-there, and one for hard-boiled. Mom swears by the thing, and I have to say that I’ve seen it work. She gave me one (that I’ve never used because Mr. G has dominion over the kitchen and he refuses to use the timer) … I’ll go see if it has a name on it … aha! It’s called BeepEgg Basic, and is subtitled Singing Egg Timer. No idea where she found it though.
I want a singing egg timer now:)
Now I want one! Thanks SheriG!
My tried and true recipe is this one: https://smittenkitchen.com/2009/08/how-to-hard-boil-an-egg/. It’s worked every time for me.
I use the method described in the first paragraph, put the egg in cold water. Bring to a boil, turn off heat, let sit for 10 minutes, plunge in cold water. Works fine every time.
Tried and true. Thanks Laila!
Great! I have the window open. Thanks ockeghem!
I trust Kenji Lopez-Alt with these types of cooking questions because he experiments with all the variables and shows you his math. He recommends boiling a pot of water; once it is boiling, add the eggs; lower the temp to a simmer; cook for 6 minutes (for soft boiled) or 11 minutes (for hard boiled); then run the eggs under cold water or toss them into an ice bath to cool so you can peel them.
https://www.seriouseats.com/the-secrets-to-peeling-hard-boiled-eggs
That is the method I use. He knows everything 🙂
You know, I usually trust him too, but I have to say Smitten Kitchen’s recipe works better for me than the Seriouseats one. But they’re doing a joint Instagram/podcast thing now, so maybe it’s all the same. 🙂
At any rate, go with what works for you!
Thanks Vee! Sometimes his recipes scare me even though I have tried not a one; this could be an exception!
My husband’s method, which makes eggs with the yolk fully cooked but still a little soft in the middle: take them out of the fridge and put them in a pot with cold water, bring them to the boil, boil them for exactly seven minutes, immediately plunge them into ice water (a lot of ice!), stir them until the ice is mostly melted, and then peel or refrigerate them. Never fails. I would imagine if you wanted the yolks quite solid all the way through, another minute or two over the fire would do the job, but we like ’em buttery.
This is how I do it Pyramus, add one more minute for fully cooked Caesar Salad eggs.
Thanks pyramus! I’m compiling the various methods.
I prefer soft-boiled or medium-boiled eggs to hard boiled.
But some grocery stores out here are selling hard boiled eggs next to the regular ones. And quail eggs, too. Curiouser and curiouser!
Thanks jalapeño! I have never been tempted to buy the already hard-boiled eggs but you never know! The hard boiled quail eggs seem a little too exotic for me.
IDK if the quail eggs are hardboiled or not. I was just very surprised to see them hanging out at the local grocery store. It wasn’t like they were at Whole Foods or a high end specialty store.
I don’t use it often (I tend to poach or fry, rather than hardboil) but America’s Test Kitchen steams the eggs in a saucepan, rather than plunge into boiling water, which shocks the egg away from the shell. That makes it super easy to peel. There’s a video on youtube if you’re interested!
There’s a Seriouseats recipe that steams them, too!
Thanks coumarin! Steaming to hard boil eggs is a new one on me!
I cannot say I have tried it, but people seem to rave about electric egg cookers. We used it as a prize for a game at work.
My dad has one (he is NOT a cook but likes hard boiled eggs), and it works well for him.
Thanks Zephyr2! I saw this device in a Wirecutter article (or maybe just a plain old NYTimes article) and I am intrigued!
Happy Friday or Saturday everyone!
I am going to a perfumista meet up this afternoon so I just sprayed on a little CK One early, it’s already gone. Not sure what new samples my young friends have (they are buying samples like crazy) but it will be fun in any case. And there’s a good looking estate sale first, maybe I’ll find some perfume to contribute. Never know!
Have fun at the meet up ringthing!
Good luck at the Estate sale! Find ALL the good stuff, for $1
My hand landed on CdG Avignon. With all the hot weather coming my way, I am probably going to be wearing the snot out of no 19 edt and Kyoto. Next week is not going to be a cheap week because I am turning on the air conditioning. It’s not expensive per se but I don’t want to be miserable with the heat.
You smelled great today Dawn!
Good call on the A/C!
Our AC part came finally. Now just need to schedule the installation. But I am going to buy a new one in the fall because the warranty runs out in a couple of months.
No points for me. I’m in the tried-and-true combination of Profumum Alba over Le Dix dusting powder. Our weather is slowly turning from late-spring sunshine to early-summer rain, and while I’ve loved the sun, the garden needs some rain. Happy Friday everyone!
Le Dix dusting powder sounds wonderful
It’s lovely, and blends really well with practically everything.
I couldn’t make myself pick completely at random today–it’s too hot and I didn’t want a cold-weather scent. I have 2 Atelier Colognes, in little cases, and can never remember which is which without taking them out of the cases and looking. So I picked one fo them, and got Bergamote Soleil. Semi random, and weather appropriate. 🙂
Random enough!
Closed my eyes, waved my hand over my bottles and White Shoulders is what wanted to be worn, so it is.
My SIL isn’t a regular perfume wearer but when I was talking about my interest in fragrance, she talked fondly of White Shoulders scent memories. So I ordered her a bottle. I think she’ll be fragrantly pleased😋
Wearing LVEB Intensement today. I haven’t worn it in awhile.
I left you a message under my post Gail. Also, I forgot to say thanks for the Guerlain time for the new Shalimar. That sounds right to me.
I tend to be a seasonal fragrance wearer and like to wear scents that mirror what’s going on outside my window. To that end, I have a monthly theme – for June it’s rose, peony, and strawberry – and I set out those fragrances + a few general seasonal scents each month on a lovely mirrored tray my mom gave me as a wedding gift decades ago.
So for today’s cp, I have 2 games of chance. The first is easy, just close my eyes and reach for one on the tray. For the second, Mr. Laila and I do Wordle each morning, so my SOTD will start with the first letter of the Wordle word of the day. If that’s not feasible, then a fragrance that is somehow related to the word of the day.
Right now I’m off to the pool for my first swim of the season. No scent yet, will choose one when I return.
🏊♀️
Well, I did the Wordle for the day and I am guessing you may not like the first letter or the word of the day🤣
I have a few suggestions but don’t want to give any Wordle spoilers!
Busy day for both of us; didn’t get to Wordle this morning, probably not til after the concert; can’t wait to see what the word of the day is!
Didn’t use the Wordle method today, will use that tomorrow. Used the ‘close my eyes and reach out and touch’ method and grabbed one of my favorite summer seasonal scents.
Waiting for the concert to begin, we just did Wordle. No problem with the word ‘vault,’ J would have chosen La Maison de La Vanille’s Vanille Divine Des Tropiques (creamy vanilla/soft white floral) as my SOTD. It’s a summer seasonal for me, currently featured in easy reach on my perfume tray. I hope tomorrow’s word is just as easy to match!🤞
Back from the pool – it was a glorious day, its beauty enhanced by the cicadas singing joyfully to the classic rock music played there!❤️ Showered now, I closed my eyes and reached (somewhat purposefully 😳) and my hand grabbed Bvlgari Omnia Coral for my SOTD, which just ‘happens’ to coordinate with the shirt and tank top I’m wearing to the Hauser concert at Ravinia tonight🎵, courtesy of another radio quiz contest won by Mr. Laila recently. 👏. Will catch up on posts later. Have a good weekend all!
I randomly picked from my travel size perfumes which I keep in a cleaned out repurposed pretty glass candle vessel and I got my 15ml Hermessence Osmanthe Yunnan. Wearing it feels like a refreshing tonic against the heat today.
Yay, lucky pick.
Apple, juice of a lemon and yogurt smoothie
Very grey, some rain, a little less cold than yesterday, half-randomly picked Embrujo de Sevilla colonia, I have the extrait too which is one of my treasures and tonight dipped in the sample bag, got two Cartier samples and chose l’Heure défendue because of the cold weather, it’s very gourmand an chocolate liqueur-like, it makes me happy.
Hi Aurora, how do you keep the lemon juice from curdling the yoghurt?
I love it when a perfume makes me feel happy.
I was thinking about movies with Roulette scenes ( James Bond, Casablanca, Casino, Atlantic City ) and remembered Run Lola, Run when she puts all her money down and then, remarkably keeps winning. I thought I would try and match it with a slightly sweaty perfume ( after all that running must be sweaty) and so thought musk and cumin might be a start. Settled on CDG Ganja with a side of Ys-Uszac Pohadka with a bit of Boucheron for the win.
Run Lola Run is one of my favourite movies of all time. I lent my copy to a co-worker who has an interest in movies of all genres and from all eras, and he HATED it. Just hated everything about it. At least you have good taste — I mean, you’re wearing Boucheron.
Three rolls of the dice later (for shelf, tier, and bottle position) and I’m wearing Cuir Cannage, a bit heavy for today’s mid-70s weather but good anyway.
I looked at my summer pants and I hate all of them. I haven’t had any new summer pants in years, so I am going shopping this afternoon.
Good luck! I just found a nice pair of seersucker ones at TJ Maxx for $15! I’m very pleased.
I just got a pair of Athleta’s linen pants and I like them so much I’m seriously considering getting a second pair so I can switch off between the two of them all summer
I’ve wondered about those pants, which are often advertised on Instagram, and look so comfy yet stylish. My concern is that I’m very short, 5’3″. Can you say something about their length? I’m glad you like the ones you got. I didn’t know they make them in linen–that’s very tempting!
I am 5’6” and the regular length ones are a hair long on me. Seems like they would be very easy to hem. Or maybe the ankle ones would work better
It may depend on your inseam. Like Vee, I am 5’6” but I must have a short torso / longer legs.
Good point. I have a long torso and shorter legs
Late to this discussion, but I ended up with 3 pairs and might get a 4th color…got them all on markdown.
I am short (5′ 4″) so the ankle length in “regular” is perfect for me.
My random pick from the drawer with my eyes closed today was SL Bois de Violette. It’s still June-uary here, so it works.
June-uary does not sound tempting…hope it heats up!
The only game of chance involved in my SOTD is that I happened to get free samples in the mail from Parfums Dusita, with her new fragrance Pelagos and an older beauty Melodie de l’Amour. So I’m wearing Pelagos! It’s lovely.
I’m happy to say that this morning was my last dose of Paxlovid, which I had to take starting last weekend due to post-vacation COVID. I’m grateful to have had access to Paxlovid but I don’t like the bitter taste it leaves in the mouth! I look forward to that going away. Have a great weekend, everyone!
Good riddance to paxlovid mouth!
You’ve got me intrigued by Pelagos OH.
I tried Glannys’s method and when I clicked for a new color, I got magenta! I found it rather fun to figure out an association and went with my MDCI Ravissante—because it has a bright fruity tangy pomegranate note. Thanks for the game!
The A/C guy postponed til today and I’ll be vexed if he doesn’t come!
Fingers crossed the A/C guy comes and solves all of your A/C problems🤞
It’s now 5:45 or so and he is here and says he can fix it–it’s been awhile now and he’s busy. The diagnosis is: cat fur buildup messing up the machine! Uh-oh! I suspected as much because it happened last summer too. I should have had it cleaned again in the early spring but was too busy because of my brother’s illness. This company appears to be all Russians; the guy today is from Kazakhstan. He’s very nice and appears quite knowledgeable.
Thanks for trying it! I got a bit addicted to the color randmozier when I first built it – I kept coming back to it and clicking to see what color I would get next. 🤣
I’ll go back and try it again since you’ve added new things!
Glad to hear that the A/C guy is working on your stuff now!
Oh I hope you’re up and running by now!
Hubby/Randomizer chose SMN Spanish Leather. I’ve had good luck with perfume roulette this week!
Your randomiser has good taste.
He thanks you😊 And I should have used its real name, Peau d’Espagne.
Random pick from my stack of perfumed towelette samples was Bon Perfumer 801. But turns out it wasn’t a towelette — just 1 ml of juice like a little ketchup packet. I was very close to spilling the whole thing on my desk before I realized. What an odd sample format.
They describe it as an acquatic with notes of sea spray, grapefruit, and cedar, and I’d say that is 100% accurate. Not groundbreaking but certainly a good version of this type of perfume. I like that the sea spray note doesn’t have a seaweed aspect to it; it’s more like how the water smells f you were far out on a boat, and not like how it smells while standing on the beach, if that makes sense. In my mind, seaweed is the difference between the two.
F&M Explorer tea again today. I’m almost done with the tin, and I’m committed to thunking it and letting something else take its place in the tea drawer.
That is a very strange sample format! Glad I’ve never seen one.
I asked my beloved for a random number again, and I got Lubin’s Nuit de Longchamp. That’s quite a coincidence, as I was already planning to wear it tonight going out for a meal with friends.
As I don’t want to wear the same thing all day, I asked him for another number and got OJ’s Orris Noir.
This has been such fun, I might keep doing it. 🙂
Neat plan, and I do like Orris Noir. I only have a sample, must find it. For awhile I had the shower gel and really enjoyed it.
I wore Paris YSL for my trip back home. No randomness involved I’m afraid, but I smelled good nevertheless.
En route I visited the Abbaye de Fontenay, it’s probably one of the most serene places I’ve ever been. Highly recommended!
That looks so lovely! Indulging in travel dreams now 🙂
As someone who plays TTRPGs, I have plenty of oddly shaped dice around. However, almost all of them are still packed away. I found one lone d10 in a strange place about a month ago, and used it for my randomizer.
First roll: even number = full bottles, odd number = samples
Second roll: page number in my Word document
Third roll: perfume on selected page from roll #2
My first set of rolls ended up on something I had swapped with Vee. So I had to repeat the process. I ended up with a FB of perfume that’s been sitting in my “To Give Away” box. I wore it anyway.
SOTD = Baby Phat Golden Goddess. It’s nice! Perfect lightweight scent for hot summer weather. Why were you in there? 🤷♀️
Fun, I love TTRPG’s now. My D&D group has been trying to meet back up after a few busy weekends.
What a fun method!
Thanks Coumarin!
And I know all too well about “Real Life” getting in the way of a D&D campaign. It happened quite a bit with my last group.
VERY COOL!
Thank you Portia!
Nice system! I haven’t smelled Goddess in probably a decade.
Thanks lillyjo! I have bottles of both Goddess and Golden Goddess. The first one is a pink rose scent, while the second one is a lightweight gourmand with Champagne, caramel, and patchouli notes.
And I finally smelled a bit of vetiver in Golden Goddess today for the first time. Never noticed it before.
Nice way to randomize! As to why the bottle ended up in the giveaway pile, the box probably had one more spot available and it was temporarily housed there in your big move?
No, the Golden Goddess was deliberately put in the giveaway pile at some point. IIRC, it had become sickly sweet and cloying on me.
Not seeing that now! Funny how perfume stuff can change.
What was the first roll? I’ll wear it this week to honor the game.
So has Golden Goddess climbed out of the give away pile and back up onto your perfume shelf?
It was Love, Chloe.
And yes, the Golden Goddess will not be getting rehomed. I’ve enjoyed it for a few days now.
Hello all!
Been a crazy week here. My mother had surgery on Monday, was released on Wednesday, and Jicky and I have been staying with her since. She’s in a lot of pain but she’s able to walk a bit. Luckily she’s got a very comfy recliner that she’s been resting in.
I haven’t been random at all this week; I brought only La Pausa with me so I didn’t overwhelm her! I did go back to my storage unit where I keep a lot of bottles and sprayed on some Sexy Angelic. It’s fun while it lasts.
Had the most unusual test for my online statistics class: it was the same platform as the homework, allowed two tries, and told you which answers were wrong after submitting the first time, so you could go back to them, rather than starting all over again with new numbers. Needless to say, almost everyone, including me, made a 100! I did a bit of grade-calculating, and realized that if I got the same grades on all the tests, and the homework, I’d only need a 79 or higher to get an A. That’s pretty comforting, since I know people have a lot of trouble with this class during the full term.
Have a great weekend all.
Wishing your Mom a quick and full recovery!
Congrats on the grade!
Thank you!
Glad that your Mom came out of surgery OK, and I hope her recovery is quick and uneventful.
That test platform IS weird.
Thank you!
Glad your mom is recovering well!
In an effort to be all things to all people, our Learning & Development team decided it was best to have a course be downloadable so a vision-impaired person can listen to the audio version of it. Somehow, the test questions which one has to achieve 80% or better also ended up in the download … including the correct answers.
Thank you!
That doesn’t surprise me one bit! I hope they didn’t have to re-issue the test.
Long day. I randomly chose Fidji today. My bottles are on a five shelf bookshelf. I counted top to bottom and back until I reached 14 for today’s date. It’s a winner!
Hey, that’s a neat solution to the “How do I pick randomly?” question!
I like your method!
I’m so, so late and haven’t made it here all week for various reasons. But I did roulette three days this week. Today I randomly dug through a box that has samples acquired in the last couple years and ended up wearing DSH Emerald Hyrax. I actually drew Baruti Onder de Linde first but it seemed too chilly and cloudy outside for linden perfume. And I’d only briefly sampled Emerald Hyrax before and quite enjoyed it today. Interestingly, I think it’s very similar to Sonoma Scent Studio’s Equestrian. They do share some notes but I don’t remember thinking of the comparison the first time I tried it.
It’s very interesting about the similarities with Equestrian! Was it the apple note?
DSH doesn’t list an apple note for Emerald Hyrax so I wonder what it is that makes them similar to me. I’ll have to do a side by side comparison before I finish my sample.
