Tom Hardy for Jo Malone. What a world we’re living in.
I don’t really know him, but I’ll agree anyway 🙂
I have a little 9 ml bottle of Cypress & Grapevine I got as a freebie. Now I won’t be able to smell it without thinking of Tom Hardy, which is not a bad thing.
Good then!
I like the glimpses of London and the overall comments about London…but for some reason I dissolved into giggles when he read off the name of the fragrance at the end.
It did seem silly after the whole lead in.
JM ads are so much more adventurous than the scents themselves, so I guess I can see how it would appeal to Tom Hardy, and I will certainly never complain about seeing his face pop up where I wasn’t expecting it. But I don’t understand the marketing angle for this one — cypress and grapevine are both mediterranean, it’s not a contradiction to put them together. And if they mean that it is a contradiction to wear mediterranean scents in the climate of London, then they didn’t do a good job conveying that.
All I can tell you is that they want more men to buy JM, and I guess they figured Tom Hardy was a good way to make that happen.
