British niche line Ormonde Jayne has launched* Cambodian Oudh, a new fragrance.
Ormonde Jayne’s reputation has been built on rare and exquisite ingredients from around the world and an uncompromising sense of ascetics [sic]. The House was the first** to use Oudh – an exceptionally pungent oil derived from the agarwood tree – in a fine fragrance, such as the Cambodian Oudh, chosen for its smooth, fine and pure grade.
Ormonde Jayne Cambodian Oudh is available at Harrods, £350 for 50 ml Extrait de Parfum.

* This fragrance was available in a limited release in 2023 so it is not brand new.
**This claim has not been independently verified. I would think if you defined "fine fragrance" as something in the mainstream prestige market, you'd have to go with Yves Saint Laurent M7, which came out in 2002? Obviously, oud has been used in perfume for far longer, since 1400 BC at least.
I want to sniff! But I also don’t want to sniff.
I am done with oud, still 🙂
Beautiful bottle but the price, not so …
Love the color.
