It's Tuesday, and the Vernal Equinox is upon us (tonight at 11:06 if you're on the East Coast of the US, early tomorrow if you're in London, tomorrow afternoon if you're in Sydney).
I am commando for a morning exercise class; my plan when I return is L’Artisan Parfumeur Jacinthe des Bois (although the weather certainly does not call for it). Tea at the moment is Cascadia Breakfast from The Jasmine Pearl Tea Co brewed with some cacao husk & crumbled cinnamon bark.
Reminder: on 3/22, it's spring! Wear a spring floral, or any fragrance that says spring to you (if you're in the southern hemisphere, adjust accordingly.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2024, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the Fiore Teapot With Infuser Sakura ("With its enchanting first blooms of spring, the Sakura Fiore Collection recollects a time for rejuvenation and renewal, building on our ever-popular cherry blossom design with red and pink blossoms that awaken the senses...this 24-ounce teapot includes a stainless-steel infuser basket for steeping your favorite loose tea blends") is on mark down, $27 at Tea Forte.
Welcoming Spring in Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom.
We are having a very cold and windy day. It is feeling in the mid-20s right now. But I am very happy Spring has officially arrived!
Happy Tuesday! 🪻🌷🌻🌞
Super windy here too.
Happy Spring!🌻🌞🌷
Windy day twins! Let’s be patient. Happy Spring to you, too! 🌷🪻
Has been quite windy over the last week or so in San Diego too! Happy spring, PL67! 🤗💨🌷
That’s the wind I wish we could have in very hot days to get some refreshing relief!
Happy Spring to you, too, She-ra! 🪻🌷
What a sweet teapot at a sweet price!
It’s cold here but the sun is shining. I have young friends coming over for movie day so I am wearing Cashmere Mist as a light choice. It’s really pretty.
My knee surgery last week was uneventful and recovery is coming along fine. This procedure has changed so much since my other knee replacement in 2013 so that everything is easier, and it’s certainly much better than my horrible foot & ankle surgery in ’21 where I couldn’t put any weight on my foot for 6 weeks. So things are good! I have missed NST and haven’t read comments to catch up yet, hope everyone is doing well.
So glad to hear the surgery went fine. Wishing you a speedy recovery! 🌻
Thanks pl67, happy spring!🌸
I am so glad the surgery went well!
Glad your surgery went well! Enjoy your movie day 🙂
Thank you pfsh, I recorded a bunch of stuff from TCM 30 days of Oscar so I will be interested to see what they choose.
excellent proactive thinking, ringthing!
I’m glad it went well.
Enjoy movie day!
I’m so glad your surgery went smoothly!
Glad it’s done and you are recovering well!
Great news! Hope the healing is just in time for full enjoyment of spring and summer🌸
That’s the goal!
Yay! Glad to hear things are going well.
Great news about your uneventful surgery, welcome back! And always good to hear that something in the medical field has improved.
Good to hear it all went so well!
So happy to hear everything went well and was better than you were expecting. 🙌
Good to hear that everything is going well! Happy Spring! 🪻🌬️
I was wondering how your knee surgery went. Thank you for excellent news!
Really glad to hear that the surgery is easier now, and that you’re recovering well!
That’s very good news. Glad it all went smoothly.
So glad of your good news.
I’m very glad to hear that went well.
Very good to hear your surgery was uneventful.
Hooray for your successful surgery!
Yay for uneventful surgery and wishing a continued speedy recovery for you!
Yay, so glad to hear it!
Really happy to hear that!
Wonderful news! I hope that things continue to progress smoothly for you.
So glad it went well…you are encouraging me for my future date with the surgeon.
So glad spring is here-feels like I’ve been driving in bad conditions for 99 months or so.
Wearing FM Cologne Indelible, on top of Neroli Portofino Shower gel and body oil. I love colognes. Dreaming about Neroli Dore, too, and Vierge de Fer-a scent I associate as a freshie for summer. Bring on all the good weather!
Yay for improved driving conditions!
You smell great! And let’s hear it for improved road conditions.
I’m in Hermes Jour d’ Hermes to welcome spring. The temperature doesn’t say spring but the sun does.🌞
Do you ever wake up with some random song playing in your head? It happens to me sometimes and this morning it was Please Come to Boston, lol. I have no idea why! I have not heard that song in forever. 😂
That’s one of my favorite spring florals. You smell great today. 🤗
Thanks!🌸🌺🌼
Omg I haven’t thought of that song in years! Now I have to go listen to it. Lol
lol, me neither! So random. My six year old self is in my brain somewhere.🤣
I very often have some random song stuck in my head, but not usually when I first wake up — most often it’s a reaction to some external stimulus. For instance, this morning Mr. G happened to say “let’s make some money” so now, of course, I have the Pet Shop Boys in my head singing “I’ve got the brains, you’ve got the looks …” etc. 😂
Haha, yeah my husband is renowned for getting terrible songs stuck in my head. He’ll start singing something and then I can’t get it out of my head.
Pet Shop Boys! That’s a blast. I still like hearing “West End Girls.”
I love that song and it pops up semi-regularly in my head. 🙂
It does have some good lyrics. Kinda sad though.
I haven’t heard that song for years. Now it will probably be in my head all day😂
I am already chanting to get rid of it. Ack.
You smell great! I wonder what you were dreaming about before you woke up with that song in your head?
Yes, I have had the whole “song going thru my head waking up” happen several times. Occasionally it is completely unrelated to anything else going on.
Good morning! Wow, it’s been awhile since I’ve been here. I haven’t been wearing perfume for the past few months, change in medication suddenly made it hard for me to enjoy scents, but I’m back now.
Le Lion for a sunny but chilly spring day!
Welcome back!
Good to see you here again!
Glad to see you again and you are smelling fabulous as always!
It’s nice to see you back 🙂
Waving hello! It’s good to see you!
Good to see you back!
Cheers to wearing perfume again!
Glad you’re back.
Glad you are back and I hope Le Lion puts a roar into your day
Nice to see you again!
Good to see you. I was wondering where you had been.
It’s nice to see you. I’m happy for you that you can enjoy perfume again!
Also very glad to see you and yay for Le Lion! 🦁
Happy to see you again!
Welcome back to wearing perfume! Good to see you posting.
Okay, so that teapot is gorgeous, and so is the price! I’ve been drinking coffee instead of tea for the past few weeks, so it’s folgers Mardi Gras blend this morning.
I’m in Sur le Nil this morning, from a swap with a sweetheart of an NSTer. I’m headed to a drum drum circle tonight to celebrate the spring equinox, and can’t wait. It’s across town, but I’m carpooling, so it’ll be fun little mini trip! Probably 20+ people will be there, so I’m really pumped. 🪘 🤩
Delete one of those drums. Too much coffee…?
The extra drum just makes it sound more fancy!🙂🎶
Double drum equals a more auspicious season! 💃💃
I’ll go with that, pl67!
Have fun tonight!
Thanks, lillyjo! I’m planning on it. ❤️
Enjoy!
Smelling wonderful, have a great time!
A drum drum circle sounds twice as fun!
Very cool…enjoy the drum circle!
I like drum drum too! Reminds me of ElisaP!
Where did she go? I haven’t seen her on here for years.
One of her lasts posts on NST said that she was taking a break from perfume. Maybe the break was permanent?
Oh, I must have missed that. Thanks.
I thought of her too.
♥
Spring greenery day 2: Demeter Grass, which doesn’t smell as much like a freshly mown lawn as I’d like, but is still pleasantly bright-green. (What I really want it to be was the original eighties Gap Grass, unparalleled for its evocation of grass, but we’ll never have that again.)
I remember Gap Grass, and you’re absolutely right. It was amazing. You do smell good 🙂
Gap Grass. Sigh. Man, I loved that perfume.
I’m wearing Bal a Versailles this morning, catching the last of the winter weather to wear my fave heavy scents. Had a lovely cup of black tea with cherry in it this morning, perfect combo.
Is it the vintage version? Vintage BaV is fabulous.
I’m seeing spring arrive in 24, Faubourg, to me just the perfect accompaniment to a sunny but chilly early spring morning. 🌸
Heavenly stuff! You smell fabulous.
Wearing Mitsouko edp layered over jasmine sandalwood lotion. So happy to see spring arrive, time for this little birdie to fly away north! My wisteria is going wild, it will be great for our annual pyppy photo on Sunday. I always take a picture of myself with the dog in front of the wisteria to document the passage of time.
You smell great!! that lotion sounds good too.
Aww that’s sweet. My mall is doing a pet photo Easter event. I’m thinking about taking my dog.
Oy! The last one I observed (during COVID) had 2 dogs that went No.2 …
Oh no!
Whoops! 💩💩
I love wisteria, so beautiful. Great idea for a photo.
Wisteria is so beautiful. What a great setting for your photo!
Mitsouko is marvelous.
I’m wearing Arpege today. It’s cloudy now but we’ll reach 70 today. And my jasmine vine is starting to bud, so spring is definitely here!
You smell beautiful. It’s one that my mother loved to wear, and I feel very nostalgic about it.
Plenty of choices for this week’s CP. I wore Odalisque yesterday and celebrated spring in Grand Amour today. Gorgeous spring weather and loads of Hawthorns in bloom. I love the green and slightly spicy smell of those small white flowers.
Hawthorn envy!
It’s just the best smell!
All our hawthorns are covered in bright red berries now.
I like jam made of those berries. I don’t know what kind of hawthorns were used, but the result was a really nice tart jam.
I have the bit between my teeth and expect to finish my decant of Ambra Nera soon, even if not quite by the end of winter.
You can do it AnnieA!
SOTD = Clinique Wrappings
Love 💚! Another one that needs more outings, just like Greenie owl 🦉!

OK, so not because of the controversies surrounding royal pictures but I am curious. Would you spend the time editing photos regardless of whether or not you think they will be published? A friend of mine (the lawyer I mentioned here previously whom I think had a TBI) had entered photography competitions. I have no clue if he ever won or placed but I was gobsmacked when he mentioned editing the photos he had submitted for the contests! For some reason, I always thought that the photos are warts and all.
In prep for going to Africa a couple of years ago, I took a lesson with a professional outdoor photographer here in town. And post-production / editing is a big part of it, yes, even for my safari photos. Pretty much all professionals (and amateurs like Mr. Ockeghem) do some work on their photos — think of it like darkroom work for film. You can change the colour balance, change to black & white, punch up the colour in a part of the photo where you want to draw the eye, deal with under / overexposure (though as I recall it’s much harder to deal with overexposure), and crop to improve the balance / movement in the photo. I had a photo of baby ducks that I took from a ways back, and had a lot of the surroundings in it; when we worked on editing in the lesson, the photographer cropped it to just the baby’s heads, and it really improved the photo.
Where the ethics start to get dicey, I believe, is when people start moving things around, removing things, etc. (though we did smooth out some small distractions when I was editing in my lesson). I think it’s probably more accepted in art photography (and definitely in commercial / beauty), but in journalism I believe you’re not supposed to move / remove anything.
Pete Souza (photographer for Obama and Reagan) had a good IG post on this difference recently. He posted a photo of Obama meeting Prince George in 2016. “The digital file was ‘processed’ with Photoshop, a software program…that virtually every professional photographer uses. Yet my photograph was certainly not ‘altered’ or ‘changed’ in content….What’s not acceptable is to remove, add, or change elements in the photograph. That would be altering the context.”
Anyway, that said, I don’t generally do a ton of work on my own photos — except for the safari ones, or the occasional decent shot I get. Mr. Ockeghem does, though — he doesn’t publish his photos or enter contests, but photography is one of his hobbies.
Thanks for the detailed explanation! We may have some naughty editing from what I read.
Yep. It’s fine to edit your family’s holiday card picture to put in a better smile for one person, edit out a distracting detail, etc. But when your family picture is going to the media, it’s a different ballgame.
Such a big bummer that Wrappings has been d/c’ed.
I’m wearing Un Bois Vanille this morning, it’s so nice.
I am growing out my hair and it’s at the “Nothing I do makes it look good” stage. It will probably be another 6-8 weeks of odd tufts here and there before I can retire the bobby pins and the hats.
I hate that! But good for you, keep at it, it will get better.
Such a lovely teapot!
I love visiting Kyoto when it’s Sakura. Yes, its crowded but so amazingly beautiful on the Philosophers Walk.
Thank you all for the best wishes on my interview yesterday.
May find out sometime today if I am in or out.
SOTD is Rien.
You smell good, Rien is one of the best!
Very spine-straightening, although you probably wouldn’t want to wear it to an interview. It might state, a little too vehemently, “Give me that corner office!”
Yes, Rien means serious business!
I don’t want an office anywhere. I want to continue to work from home. So if Rien gives that vibe, I am good.
My fingers are crossed that you get good news!
Fingers crossed for you too! 🤞🏻🍀
Another lovely teapot! $27 includes the stainless steeper?! I may forgo coffee for tea someday…Nah, who am I kidding? I’ll never go up coffee. ☕️
We made our way down to Oregon yesterday. Once again I was confronted with my nemesis- the Astoria-Megler bridge. Lots of positive self talk as I approached and went over but it was especially weird yesterday. The mist/fog/marine layer was so thick I couldn’t see more than 3 car lengths ahead of me. Couldn’t see the bridge, the drop, the water, the other side, nothing. It was like being ratcheted up a roller coaster incline through a thick cloud bank. If it wasn’t for gravity keeping my behind on the seat and my truck on the bridge I’d have no idea if I was going up, down, or sideways. Complete loss of proprioception. One of the most uncomfortable bridge crossings ever for me. 😅
Wearing Tauer’s Au Coeur du Desert today. Such a lovely perfume. My little 5ml cobalt bottle is still going strong. Doubt the sun will manage to burn off the heavy marine layer I’m under but the temps are nice and we’ll be hitting the beach soon. 🌊
You smell wonderful! And wow, that sounds scary on the bridge. I haven’t been over it in many years.
That sounds really disorienting. I’m glad you made it across the bridge safely!
Your bridge description is quite scary…I also dislike driving through fog…anytime you can’t see around you is very disorienting/horror movie-esque in my book. Glad you remained calm and were able to cross it.
I don’t know how you do it Deva.
Ooh, that bridge sounds scary. I hate driving in crummy conditions. But you smell good!
Wow, you had quite the white knuckle drive there!
Wearing no 5 edp again today.
Chanel No 5 is good at anytime and in any iteration.
I am wearing Chanel Paris Venise, it’s very light and lovely, spraying abundantly.
I have a haircut appointment this week, it’s been a while since i haven’t been to the hairdresser, excited about that!! I hope it will come out nice, normally i am never satisfied with my haircut, we will see.
I hope you love it!
I’m going to go with Iris Doux against Iris Nazarena today, for spring and to see which one goes higher on my buy list. Iris Doux was just mentioned in Persolaise’s spring perfumes post, so definitely on point for the CP. First, though, I’ve got to get a workout in.
Another sunny, warm(ish) day here, probably the last we’ll have for a while. So I’ll greet spring, and then head to go skiing tomorrow. 🙂
Which Iris won?
I think Iris Doux. Overall I really like the creaminess with the iris…it’s prettier than Iris Nazarena, which isn’t always a recommendation, but it works here because it’s not overdone. There’s one period in the drydown when Iris Doux is too sweet / vanilla-focused for me and Iris Nazarena is just right, but then a bit later the iris in Iris Doux comes out more again.
When I compare Iris Nazarena to Iris Doux, Nazarena comes out as much closer to Iris Silver Mist, which I already have. It’s definitely the more academic, rooty version, which I do love. But I really enjoy the more rounded version in Iris Doux. This is sad for my wallet, though. (Never thought I’d say that…Iris Nazarena isn’t exactly cheap, but Iris Doux is more, especially when the Puente site shows it to me in Canadian dollars.)
I do miss Iris Silver Mist! And 28 La Pausa, and Hiris…all my lost irises.
Iris Doux sounds like something I should try…if you see this and I can trouble you again, can you smell the ylang?
I’m wearing Gabrielle . I’ve been reading Pilgrim’s Progress this week for no real reason, found it in an Op Shop . I recall reading it at university but it is even odder than I remember and I have got quite caught up in it. It’s interesting to re-read books at an older age, when they are less a chore ( because not ‘required reading’) . I might read The Scarlet Letter next, just for fun.
I have not worn Gabrielle for awhile, but I find it to be a great spring fragrance.
I have never read Pilgrim’s Progress…are you enjoying it?
And probably haven’t read Scarlet Letter since high school, wow.
I’m wearing Vol de Nuit today, it’s one of those perfumes that’s right for any season, occasion, whatever.
I agree with you wholeheartedly!
Also just popping in with a NYT gift link for anyone interested in reading their article about Hilde Soliani today: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/19/magazine/hilde-soliani-perfume-parma.html?unlocked_article_code=1.d00.Phx9.mMCrDXnKLFlt&smid=url-share
I started it but will have to come back to it later.
Have never tried a Soliani scent, but this was a very entertaining article. A commenter noted that Soliani would make a good Wes Anderson heroine, and I concur!
Thanks for sharing that link!
Wearing Chanel Bois des Iles today, since it isn’t quite warm yet and the gingerbread feels comfy and warm.
I’ve been enjoying Marc Jacobs Daisy Wild, it sort of reminds me of the original Marc Jacovs perfume but with the addition of banana leaf and a bit more sweetness. The OG MJ was the first designer perfume I bought when i was 19. I also had the original Lolita Lempicka. Good times!
Remembering first perfumes, I had a couple from the Body Shop I loved. Oceana was my top favorite. I had Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers and Coty Vanilla Fields (i copied my friend on this one). I think i also had an issey miyake l’eau d’issey as a teenager, or something that smelled just like it. And of course Exclamation when i was a kid, lol.
Smelling good!
I like the original MJ Daisy and just wore it the other day. My stepson loves it on me. I do pull it out frequently in the spring and summer months.
I like the original Daisy too, it is an easy grab in the warmer months. I love a shampoo scent, especially if it reminds me of the 90s Herbal Essences shampoos. Am also a fan of soapy scents in warm months. Just helps boost that clean and fresh feeling, which I want when i am sweating lol.
Boy, Herbal Essence shampoo brings back memories. I can smell it just by thinking about it.
Have you tried Comme des Garcons Marseille? It smells like the most expensive gorgeous European soap ever. I didn’t think I wanted to smell like soap til I tried that one. They really got the clean musks right too – nothing industrial or nose-air singing. The neroli floats over it all like an irridescent soap bubble.
oops meant that as a comment to Nebbe. But another vote for Clairol Herbal Essences here.
I tried Daisy Wild. I like it. It seems great for spring.
You smell lovely.
My friend who watched my home when I was in Africa is going to Portugal with a weekend in Paris on the way home. I see a bottle of Box of eels EDT in my future after all!!
Will not pay the US prices, ever.
Smoothie is a coffee, we’ll see if I still manage to fall asleep. I chose Liz Earle No 9 today, it’s a berry chypre if there is such a thing, it’s the best of the line along with No 1 but it’s been discontinued and prices have been creeping up. I have a third of a bottle, it only comes in 50ml and a bub, so I’m not worried or looking to buy but feel sorry for people who love it and no longer have any to pay £90 or £100. Tonight it’s Kenzo Amour le Parfum plus a few spray of YR Rose Absolue.
I hope you are able to sleep tonight!
Thank you Lillyjo, well it’s past midnight, listening to music, Joan Baez at the moment, thinking of your family, is your BIL stable?
He is currently stable. He had another operation today. They are thinking now that they can save the other leg. Thanks for asking.
Oh I’m so glad to hear he’s stable. Your sister must be terrified.
This sounds more hopeful for sure, keeping one leg must mean the world to him, more independence.
Perfume profiteers are a bane!
Yes, it’s taking advantage for sure.
Yes, it looks like spring but feels like winter. This week I’m testing a few Meo Fuscioni samples I’ve had kicking around for awhile. First up is Spiritu, which sounded promising. Many favorite notes: Angelica, chamomile, vetiver, guaiac wood…but it started out barbershop on me, and the middle are a bit muddled. It’s a pass.
Has anyone tried Viole Nere? That hadn’t been released yet when I bought my samples.
That is, middle notes.
Felt like winter here today too! Needed a parka outside again.
SOTD is Splendiris. This is a favorite of mine in spring.
Hope it was a good day Kris!
Thanks. Busy getting ready to go to North Carolina to see the grandkids.
No SOTD yet – I just got back from giving blood, so I abstained until after my appointment. Now I’m having trouble deciding what to wear – I rarely pick out my perfume later than 9:00 am!
It’s dropped back into winter temps, and I’m wrapped in a cozy sweater. Stay warm, everyone who is dealing with the chill!
Good for you for giving blood!
I have the heat cranked up 🙂
I am wearing Guerlain L’Initial today and currently drinking my second cup of Irish Breakfast tea
You smell great! I have that one and found it to be the same, to the best of my memory, as Shalimar PI.
I should have pulled out the Irish breakfast this weekend and didn’t…will try to remember to have a cup tomorrow morning!
Wearing Pierre Guillaume Orchidivy today and quite enjoying it. Described as a green vanilla on the brand’s website and notes are Ivy, Gardenia, Raspberry, Hay, Tonka, Absolute Vanilla. 🌱🍨May be FB worthy!
Oh my, FBW! Is it more of a winter or summer weight?
It’s very spring or summer to my nose. Definitely summer weight which is nice because many vanillas can be heavy and I need a range for all the seasons. 😆
Of course you do!! Thanks.
I’ve been spraying Dune like crazy yesterday and today. It wasn’t my favorite when I first got it but now I really get it. And it’s feeling very green to me, even though it’s not a green fragrance, per se.
Oh so happy to hear you are liking it!
I 💛Dune like crazy! You smell fabulous.
I can see the green note too – kinda. It’s the helichrysum, or maybe the immortelle, or are they the same thing?
I was inspired by the cherry blossom trees that have burst into bloom here so I’m in Sakura by Olympic Orchids.
I had such a delightful walk yesterday after work. My partner came with me, and we walked to a great park in the neighborhood. Just minutes after I said to him that I was due for another bald eagle sighting, one flew over us! I saw it perch at the top of the tallest nearby tree so we spent some time walking around finding the best spot to view it. Just as we were about to move on with our walk, a man came up to us and asked how we’d spotted the eagle. We chatted for a minute, then I asked him how he spotted it. He said it’s because he saw us looking up there for so long. 😃 It was a beautiful evening in the 60s, and I’m glad I manifested that eagle sighting hehe. Supposed to drop back to the low 50s after today.
When I was in 6th grade I did my final presentation on The Bald Eagle. I would love to still have my poster board.
I bet that was a fun and great presentation. I wish I hadn’t misplaced a book I made about my grandpa’s life when I was in middle school.
Oh how cool!!
Your walk and the sighting sound amazing.
The teapot pic up in the header reminds me that Robin gets an enabler pin from me. I purchased something from Musubi Kiln recently, and have been very impressed/pleased with their service and their products. Highly recommend them! 😁
Really bad headache today, so no perfume. Not even scented lotion. 🤕
Hope the headache goes away soon!
Thank you AnnE.
Hope you feel better soon Jalapeno!
Thanks lillyjo.
Feel better soon!
Thank you PL67.
So sorry, hope it goes away.
Thanks Aurora.
So sorry about the headache!
But when you’re feeling better, you know we want to know what you bought!
I purchased 3 sake cups. One has Maneki Nekko (aka Lucky Cats) all over it, and the other 2 are Sakayuki style with a gorgeous crystalline glaze.
Thank you!!
It unseasonably cool here. But I am happy with the cool weather because I know the relentless slide into unbearable heat will start soon enough. That’s why I love fall – I know I made it through summer. Seriously, each winter/spring we have to assess the damage on which plants and even trees didn’t make it.
I am wearing Bvlgari Black to enjoy the cool. This is really one of the unusual perfumes I have, like a vanilla tire. I would wear it more if it weren’t a little too much in the heat.
I would wear it more if I still had any! You smelled great today.
Cold and windy here, but the sun made a brief appearance.
Thanks to a generous nster I am wearing a dab of Eau de Givenchy. It’s so perfect for spring.
I saw a video by Dacob that Chanel is planning on discontinuing the 15ml exlclusif extraits. I am not sure if that is true, just thought I would mention it.
Not yet spring then but soon, winter is receding. Eau de Givenchy is lovely, you smell great if we have the same one, it has no citrus but is still fresh because of its spring floral notes.
I don’t get citrus. It’s all bright happy floral. I think mine is a 90’s version. Before it was put in the similar bottles. It’s a mini.
Yes, we have the same version, it has a blue box and a dark blue cap.
Well I should take it back Fragrantica lists citrus but somehow they’re muted to me.
Boo to Chanel d/cing the 15 ml extraits. Hope not!
You will be getting more sun and warmer weather very soon!
En Passant for spring today. And it was a very nice springy day. I thoroughly enjoyed my walk and my errands — anything to be outside in the sunshine.
Glad you had a nice springy day, and wore the perfect scent for it 🙂
SOTD was Jean Louis Scherrer, the first one, and that one reaches right out of the vintage bottle and smacks you in the face with fierce bitter greens, especially galbanum, then leather and costus and maybe a bit of rose and iris to soften it up but not by much and sweetness has no home here. This to me is the one green leather chypre to rule them, to bind them. At different times it smells to me like Vent Vert, EL Private Collection, Ma Griffe, No. 19, Silences, AG Heure Exquise. Welcome Spring, the cold bitter snarly windy northern spring of tightly furled green buds barely peeping out from dead brown branches, right before everything explodes. Well, JL Scherrer is the spring explosion that marinated all winter in a leather bottle.
