Salvatore Ferragamo Red Leather ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 26 February 2024 3 Comments

Salvatore Ferragamo has launched Ferragamo Red Leather, a flanker to 2020's Ferragamo. (Others in the series: Intense Leather, Bright Leather and Spicy Leather.)

Ferragamo Red Leather is a sensual citrus aromatic leather Eau de Parfum. Inspired by the most powerful color, it expresses engagement, Italian easiness and sensuality. For the man who explores his own desires, makes his personal choices and unapologetically embraces his authenticity.

The fragrance opens with the freshness of natural ginger adding vibrancy to Italian Bergamot and mandarin pulp. At the heart, we find the inherent strength of jasmine absolute, orris and rosemary. Sustainable vetiver and sandalwood anchor the base in a sensual blend of masculine woods. A soft leather accord completes this powerful creation.

Ferragamo Red Leather is available now at Dillards, $106 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I keep hearing good things about this collection, though I’ve yet to get my nose on any of them.

I have Leather Rose and Incense Suede from the Tuscan Scent collection, purchased affordably a few years ago. Just saw them ~$400 USD on Mercari. Bonkers. Great scents though!

There are a bunch of scents from the newer Tuscan Creations line going for good prices on the discount sites. (From what I’ve read, one or both of the aforementioned disc’d scents can be found under different names in this line).

I just ordered Cupola at a good price, noses Antoine Lie and Lucca Maffei, whose work I both like and have paid a lot more for under other brands.

TL;DR: I think Ferragamo really flies under the radar, you should check it out!

I’ll be sniffing this new one at some point.
