Jo Malone Emerald Thyme, Ginger Beer, Musk Memento & Passiflora ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 19 February 2024 9 Comments

Jo Malone will launch Memento, the brand's annual Brit collection, with four fragrances inspired by British antique markets: Emerald Thyme, Ginger Beer, Musk Memento and Passiflora. (Last year's model was The Highlands.)

Emerald Thyme (shown just below) ~ inspired by an antique medicine bottle; an aromatic fresh citrus with lemon, petitgrain, thyme, rosemary, moss and geranium.

Ginger Beer (shown top right) ~ inspired by a brown glazed ceramic ginger beer bottle; with cinnamon, amyris, vetiver and roasted oak.

Musk Memento (below, second from left) ~ inspired by an antique ceramic soap dish; with mallow, aldehydes, lavender, cedar, white musk and amber.

Passiflora (below, second from right) ~ inspired by an antique British botany book; a floral with cardamom, honeysuckle, vanilla, passionflower and tonka bean.

Jo Malone Emerald Thyme, Ginger Beer, Musk Memento and Passiflora will debut in April, in 30 ml Cologne.

    😱😱😱

Next to red, or perhaps along the same lines as red, I 💚 green bottles.

It could be my imagination but are there different shapes to the bottles?

      Yes, totally different shapes.

I immediately thought of you when I saw the Emerald Thyme bottle.

The theme seems more conceptual than I’m used to from Jo Malone, although the individual scents themselves seem straight forwardly on-brand.

I wonder if the Ginger Biscuit shares any DNA with Ginger Beer, and if that’s why it was brought back for the holidays.

It looks like different scent notes from Ginger Biscuit.

Highlands was pretty conceptual too…the Brit collection usually is I think.

These sound good to me and I like the different bottles, especially the Emerald Thyme green (and not just for the ‘thyme’ name;-).

I like that they used different bottles but I don’t actually love any of these bottle designs…the Emerald Thyme is the best though.

Huge Jo Malone lover here, but these don’t peek my interest for me.
They seem to be more on the masculine side…. except for Passiflora. I will take my boyfriend to check these out. I have recently converted him over to the brand.
