Wow, this was a beautiful video. Looks expensive. I’m very skeptical of this relaunching from a business sense, but I’m very excited to try them.
“It looks expensive” was my reaction too, especially since I had not assumed they were expecting huge sales. Perhaps I was wrong.
Although adding also…it’s an investment in the brand’s legacy as well, even if these don’t sell in huge numbers. EL has not really done the work other brands have done to maintain the mystique around their classics.
My mother wore White Linen…
I wore White Linen back in the day and am really excited to give this new interpretation a try.
As a huge Estée Lauder fan who still wears vintage versions of Private Collection and White Linen, I am utterly disappointed in this new collection.
Yes, reformulations and regulations have damaged perfumes tremendously, yes, the newer versions are not as good. But to call this collection Legacy is a big no no for me . The Legacy versions are actually dated and not as fresh or new or original as the vintage formulas. I really speak with experience as I know PC, WL, Knowing and Estée very well. And the price !!! It’s actually a sad collection for me.
