It's Tuesday! It's still January! There are 56 days left of winter! Also, National Pie Day. Birthdays: Stendhal, Édouard Manet, Derek Walcott (Walcott was born in Saint Lucia, and was the the second Caribbean writer to receive the Nobel prize for literature).* What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Dries Van Noten par Frédéric Malle, which in no way reminds me of the Carribbean but which does have nutmeg...still grown on Grenada, aka Spice Island. My matching tea is a blend of Upton Idulgashinna Estate Organic and Art of Tea Tali's Masala Chai with an extra sprinkle of grated nutmeg.
Reminder: on 1/26, we're off to The Caribbean! Wear a perfume that is named for a place in The Caribbean, or that reminds you of a (real or imaginary) trip to The Caribbean, or that features a local ingredient, or ?
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2024, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the Fegg Hayes Bone China Reef Teapot ("Brighten up your dining with our beautiful Reef china. Each piece has a different element from our very popular Reef collection, the colours are amazing and you’ll feel like you are diving into a beautiful underwater world") is on mark down, $46.15, at Cream Cornwall.
*The first was Saint-John Perse. VS Naipaul joined the list of Caribbean winners in 2001 (see Feuding Fathers: The legacies of Derek Walcott and V. S. Naipaul)
Trudon Medie which reminds me of Cristalle……thunk
Anyone have a favorite Ava Luxe??????
Madame X, which I saw on AL Facebook page is being re-released. Haven’t checked its out yet.
Yes it’s back . I spent an hour on the website and I blame someone here for sending me samples lol
But if I order she will earn an enabler pin or two.
I gather you like Madame X?
Last time I had some was during the makeupalley days, probably ten years ago, but I thought Madame X was the sexiest perfume I’d ever smelled although I don’t remember the notes. So yes, I liked it!
Ooooo!!! That sounds really good!!!!
The notes look good by the way!
Teakwood and Sweet Patchouli were my favorites back in the day. I’m glad she’s still in business!
I was eyeballing Sweet Patchouli! I was interested in the brand years ago but then it appeared to disappear but now looks like it’s back!!
You are early today, Robin! Dries van Notten has lemon and vanilla – a Caribbean connection of sorts. And Peru balsam, which is not Caribbean but close.
I am getting some points in Lalique Encre Noire, which has Haitian vetiver.
You smell great, Glannys! My husband gave me his bottle of EN as it irritated his skin, I’ve been enjoying it.
Thank you! This is my second favorite vetiver and favorite fall and winter vetiver.
What is your first favorite vetiver?
Guerlain Vetiver!
Had to get up crazy early! I will be tired later.
You smell fantastic.
Another Tuesday, another beautiful teapot.
I’m wearing a favorite for the CP today, Lubin Idole for the rum. I don’t know as Johnny Depp would have worn it in Pirates of the Caribbean (I imagine Jack Sparrow would smell more like body odor and bad teeth) but it’s great for wintery weather.
Yes, perfect for the cp!
We’ve made it to the low 30s, but with the dreaded wintry, sleety
mix. On the plus side, the icicles on my eaves are melting.
In Moon Bloom for Tuberose Tuesday and tea is Harney’s supreme breakfast. Today’s teapot is cool and reasonably priced!
It’s 30F here and DRY (lucky us).
I could really get behind Tuberose Tuesday. Might steal that.
Ah, “wintery mix,” the NWS’s suggestion that the day will somehow be like a potpourri or a snack product, but icy and dreary and drippy-down-the-back-of-your-necky.
I just went out to the mailbox and had the cold drippy down the back of my neck. Perfect description!
“Wintry mix”. YECH! 🤮
In Mugler B*Men. Rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb. (And some other things too.)
Yum.
Wearing Tom Ford White Suede, which according to Fragrantica has mate tea. I don’t know if it counts, but I can’t smell it. It is a white musk scent with thyme, saffron, amber, suede, sandalwood and lily of the valley. It is a comfort scent for me.
I’m sure someone more creative than me can find a CP connection for you. You smell great!
It’s no longer bitterly cold here, just cold. I have managed to open the curtains (I probably need to re-weatherstrip all my windows).
I’m still chilly enough to want the fuzzy-sweater warmth of Soivohle Centennial — which was long since discontinued so I’m glad I bought it when I did. Classic floral chypre, this thing. I just looked on Fragrantica, where somebody has placed “white floral” as its prominent character. Nope. As much rose as jasmine/OB, more oakmoss and labdanum than either.
We are still frigid and expect freezing rain 🌧️
Freezing rain is the worst. Stay safe!
Thank you!!! I hate driving in it!!!!
Centennial is gorgeous. Glad I sprung for a mini bottle of it when Soivohle had 10mL bottles available.
Hello.
Sotd is nothing atm but the air in the room is filled with the beautiful scent of Diptyque 34 room spray. Maybe I will wear Tam Dao later.
I love Tam Dao!
Continuing with yesterday’s honeyed-comfort theme in Slowdive, which is a lovely thing in itself, but it also has one of those magic sprayers that makes me just want to spray and spray and sprrraaaayyy…
You know you’re a perfume nerd when you’re nodding along to a comment like this.
You know, I do not envy you all in cold country. The lows are in the 60s today, and so are the highs. High is supposed to be 68. Of course its been raining for the last three days, and will continue for two more. Anyway, I am wearing Musc Monoi, from my sample bag. This may be fbw, especially since the small bottle is only $63 at Luckyscent.
This one sounds good and a reasonable price too.
It’s winter here, too, and I loathe it lol. Wearing Bigarade Concentree and the citrus in the winter is so welcome.
My Wed Iyengar class is moving to an online format, and I welcome that in the winter. Roads there can be tricky, so this works for the winter months. It’s another sign of winter. I can’t wait till spring, and we can get out more. I love cycling in March and April, when you can smell the rotten vegetation and rotting ice (yes, it has a certain smell that gets stronger as the ice gets weaker). It’s my favourite harbringer of warmer weather.
Is it a pleasant smell? Have you ever found a perfume analogue?
Definately a pleasant smell, and no, not really, surprisingly. My brother, who also loves scents, calls some chypre fragrances roots and leaves fragrances (it’s a compliment) so that’s as close as I can come to describing the scent .
Raining cats and dogs here since yesterday evening.
Impressed and motivated by so many thunkers over the past few days, I’ve decided join the conga line.
SOTD is a sample of Mona D’Orio Nuit Noire. Thunked before bed last night. A bit skanky which I don’t mind a bit but overall happy to report I do not need a bottle. According to Fragrantica, this includes some Caribbean born ingredients:
“Orange Blossom, Ginger, Cardamom and Orange; middle notes are Tuberose, Cloves, Cinnamon, Sandalwood, Cedar and Olibanum; base notes are Musk, Leather, Amber and Tonka Bean.“
Smell well, and hope you all get a bit of sun to brighten your day! 🌞
It’s always good when you don’t need a full bottle. 🙂 Her stuff isn’t cheap. I wanted a bottle of Violette Fumée for a long time, but I gather it’s discontinued and the line is on a break, anyway. Money saved!
I really liked her vanilla. Not sure why I didn’t pursue it, probably price as you mentioned. 💸💸
I loved Violette Fumée. Just as well that temptation is currently out of reach.
Violette Fumée is discontinued?!? 😟 It had just worked its way to the top of my buy list, after dithering about it for a long time. Oh darn. I should have thought about splitting one.
Well, as Robin would say, money saved!
Yeah, that perfume is not listed on any of the sites that supposedly carry Mona di Orio as of this morning (and I’m pretty sure I heard a while back that it was discontinued). But the overall MdO website also has nothing on it right now — says they’re on a break, they’ve discontinued some scents but will be coming back with others.
I must have been sleeping when that news came out. Thanks for the info!
Hi fellow thunker!! It’s been my own personal project since the end of December and have been thunking 1-2 samples per day
You are my idol! 👍🏼
😻
Nicolai Vanille Tonka- THUNK!
👍👍👍👍
Hate to say it, but my area could use a little more precip. Snowpack is looking good up in Colorado’s mountains, though.
I know, it’s been a real thunk party around here! Thunka-thunka-perfume-love
Wearing no 5 edp today because I couldn’t figure out what perfume I exactly wanted that was a little more work appropriate.
Always a good choice.
It’s normal winter here now — rain upon rain. It has finally rained the foot of snow away, and even Jerry the snowman is gone. So now it is rain with a dead garden, because the plants froze, even most of the ones I had in cloches. -11C is just not what they’re meant to deal with.
I’m going with April Aromatics Wild Summer Crush for the CP today, given that the notes list citrus, coconut and tobacco. How much more Caribbean could you get? I’ve only tried my sample once or twice, so I ought to get it out and give it another whirl.
What was the verdict? Curious about the coconut + tobacco
Oh my goodness, I was working so much today that I forgot to smell frequently! Overall impression — strong grapefruit on the opening (which is good — I like grapefruit). Sillage wasn’t enough to intrude into my full day of work. By 3 p.m., there was a slight, pleasant long drydown but not much to speak of. I can say the tobacco didn’t come out much at all, nor did the coconut, really. But then, I also wasn’t smelling closely.
Guerlain Vetiver, so no points for me. Maybe there’s Haitian vetiver in it?
Claim those points!
I am perfectly happy in winter. I simply get out my longest, puffiest, hooded coat and no longer have to fuss with layers or figure out what will work at different hours of the day. I don’t have to cover myself with sticky, pore-clogging sunscreen or adhere to the shady route when I’m walking. I’m no longer plagued by pollen, humidity, mildew, insects, Canadian wildfire smoke, or air pollution inversion. And best of all, I can wear enjoy my favorite perfumes.
Long live winter!
It does have its virtues.
The key is to love the one you’re with, seasonally speaking. 👍
This right here!
Also, your icecream doesn’t melt and drip down your hand before you can finish it!
It pays to take an ice cream bowl half full approach to the seasons rather wishing in vain to rush them.
In total agreement with this statement!
High five and fist bump, Deva!
Hello opposite season twin 😂
I guess if I didn’t have to drive in it and didn’t have to break my back shoveling snow or dealing with lost power when power lines go down I might think differently about winter… ( maybe not cause I HATE feeling cold 😜❄️). And I wear whatever I love year round, regardless of the weather.
I absolutely recommend moving to a condo near public transportation post haste. One near Arielle Shoshana would be ideal. 😉
👍🙏😁❄️😻
+1🌞
I knew you would say that cause you also hate driving in snow and ice lol
Yep, I agree with cazaubon. One virtue of winter is that I don’t have to change my clothes in the middle of the day because I’ve sweated through the morning’s set from walking the dog.
Yes, so gross! And you’re reminding me that I love the plush wools and fleeces of winter clothing far better than skimpy summer fare.
I appreciate all 4 seasons, and am not inclined to move where they don’t exist.
I appreciate 3 seasons. Lol.
Exactly!
Me three!!!
I’m breaking from my incense overload to join in the BWF crowd, wearing Profumum Sabbia Bianca (white sand). Going over to a friend’s house after lunch for round three of decluttering.
Good luck with decluttering. It’s good of you to help.
You smell great and good luck!!
I love decluttering, but do it not often enough
You’re a good friend for helping out with that task.
Aerin Lauder Cedar Violet
That sounds nice; can you describe?
I’m intrigued, too!
I sprayed Gris Clair last night before bed and traces are still on my skin this morning, such a lovely scent with the lavender and iris coming through. It will be perfect for today as it’s only 7C (44F) , not very summery. This town is a hotspot for hydrangeas; they are everywhere and at their biggest and best right now. I have the dark magenta ones outside my window and the neighbours have a massive bush of blue blooms. They really mark the end of the flowering season, bookending the rhododendrons that started it.
I have a sample of that one!! Need to find it!!
I love Gris Clair, and do not often see it mentioned here. Maybe I’ll wear that tomorrow!
Not sure I’ve ever seen dark magenta hydrangeas — they sound wonderful!
I haven’t either, but google tells me they do exist 🙂
ps I used to keep the kind of hydrangeas that would go blue to pink depending on how acid or akaline you kept the soil…adding more acid amendments would keep them blue. Now I see that if you get the soil REALLY akaline they will go towards hot pink and that they have hybridized some that go nearly red. Did not know…there are hydrangeas all over the place here but have never seen these.
https://www.naturehills.com/grateful-red-hydrangea
But in my current yard have only white, 4 varieties but all white.
I’m joining the Haitian Vetiver crowd in Eris Parfums Delta of Venus this morning. As Oakland Fresca would say…I “luuuurve” this one😊
I am so curious about this scent after watching a video on Persolaise’s youtube channel about its creation. Does it remind you of Calyx?
I watched that video too but I don’t remember Calyx well enough to compare. I’m not usually a fan of fruit forward fragrances but Delta of Venus is an exceptional exception.
I need to get a sample of this. I have Night Flower, which I love.
Wearing Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess. As mentioned yesterday, I am doing a week of summer scents that will bring warm, sunny Caribbean vibes to the CP.
I’m almost on my way out to a field visit on a cloudy, drizzly, and finally balmy day in the low 40s. I’m so grateful for it!
Happy Tuesday! ⛱️
I saw hints of 50 the first week of February!🌞🌷
🙏😁🙏😁🙏😁
We are supposed to get 63 on Saturday, and then it will drop again to the 30s. Crazy, but no complaints at all considering how terribly cold has been lately.
Smelling great! And glad you have some warmer weather.
Thank you, Gail!
It’s been in the low to mid 50’s here, for the past couple of days.
I want to think that spring is already in the air!
I am almost certainly going to wear that this week! And CSP Gouverneur on Friday probably.
Great choices!
SOTD is Or du Serail (coconut and rum!)
I’m starting to feel like I need to wear all my cold weather favorites before it gets warmer.
You smell fantastic!
I hope all the Northern Hemisphere NSTers are surviving the cold weather. We’ve had enough hot weather here that I’m grateful for some cooler days, that’s not something I can say often.
I’m wearing Sana Jardin Tiger By Her Side for all the spices.
You smell great!!
Yesterday I finally received the bottle of Amouage Lineage that I had ordered from eBay as a post-Christmas splurge gift to myself. It was a good deal so I had some doubts but it’s perfect and obviously a real bottle. (The delay was due to some kind of ongoing and nearly scandalous problem with the Houston post office which is being covered on our local news every night now.) I am not disappointed and am SO happy to have this and be able to spray lavishly. It’s an unusual scent that won my heart instantly when I tried it awhile ago at Neiman-Marcus along with the other recent products from this line. It’s described as a spicy amber but that is not my experience. In the beginning it is all about PEPPER, just SO fresh and so much pepper. You know, really good ground fresh pepper can contain so many nuances of odor and flavor, including sweet citrus aspects. There’s also a mineral-salt aspect and some other spices (saffron) and something a tiny bit floral and LOTS of resin. It’s very long-lasting and if you get whiffs of it on yourself it’s often something a bit strange and surprising. I am really glad I sprang for it. Plus I love the mint-green bottle and little matching gem in the cap!
Have we ever done a CP on pepper? Or maybe on salt and pepper? I find I am very drawn to perfumes that feature pepper, and there’s a variety (pink pepper, Sichuan pepper, this one supposedly has Peruvian pepper…. and so on.)
Oh wow — your description of Lineage is really appealing.
I just read about that check stealing scandal and the article said the USPS isn’t doing much about it. And apparently it’s happening in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Miami with these stolen checks being sold on the dark web. Scary times!
Well, there was a check stealing scandal a few years ago and I was a victim of it, in fact, though fortunately my bank made restitution right away and they caught the perpetrators. However this is a new and different problem: It seems that hundreds if not thousands of packages have stalled, both coming and going from Houston, in two new huge transit facilities. The local TV news said last night that over 5,000 people have called in to complain about problems, among the worst of which are much-delayed medications and even a wedding dress!! (Happy story last night, the store is shipping her another dress by UPS in time for her wedding this weekend.) I had sent something on December 27th, a slightly delayed Christmas gift, promised to arrive in St. Louis by the 30th, and there’s still no signs of it. Our Congressman is looking into it and has demanded answers from USPS and to tour both facilities. It’s really a horrendous situation! I was quite surprised yesterday when my stalled package (mailed Jan. 5th) suddenly got delivered here. But still no luck on the St. Louis delivery.
Eek! I’m glad your bank took care of it! There was another check scandal recently in Houston but yes I also just read about extremely delayed packages!! I lost faith in the USPS years ago when I started having major issues with mail and packages.
NST did a “savory note” CP a while back, but I don’t think there was one with just salt and pepper.
Now I have an earworm from the 1990’s going thru my head. “Push it real good!”
Loved this description. Adding to the “to sample” list, pronto!
Salt and pepper is a great idea, thanks!
Points for me while wearing Chypre Siam by Rogue Perfumery, kaffir lime and ylang on a bed of oakmoss. This is really good.
Felt better today and finally had the energy to finish the dress i cut in december. I did a smallish turtle neck, very nice for a winter dress.
I like a few of Rogue scents however, that one was a little too masculine on me. A nice NSTer sent me most of the scents from that house and some I really enjoy. I do have a bottle of Champs Lunaires and there are a few others I would consider purchasing too. The prices are pretty good and I think they are good quality.
I like them, too. I do have a bottle of Chypre Siam and also Derviche. Champs Lunaires is lovely, I’ve flirted with an FB of that one but never quite commit.
That’s funny. Derviche is the main one I thought of purchasing.
HdP 1804, so I am wafting sunshiney pineappley happiness. Or at least I was — it didn’t last long today (more fragrance-killing cold weather).
I’m teaching some of Derek Walcott’s poems in my course on water this semester.
Oh, I love that one!
That one sounds good.
And I read Derek Walcott in college, and probably not since, so good thing it was assigned 🙂
I did not read him in college (pre-Nobel), but his work was in an anthology I used in a course last semester, and it is perfect for an interdisciplinary course about water that consider (among other topics) migration, colonization, and empire. It’s also just really good.
Pear and yogurt smoothie
After staying very reasonable the majority of January I have just purchased two bottles🥹, I don’t want my low buy to be too compromised, back to the straight and narrow. I picked IPdF Hayan today, a linear patchouli and vanilla but tonight more complexity with Berdoues Maasai Mara which is really plush and fruity.
Maasai Mara is a really cute scent! Plush and fruity indeed. I plan to wear Berdoues Hoja de Cuba this week for those CP points, and I think it is very much in the same style despite different notes.
I’ve never tried Hoja de Cuba, you inspire me to seek it out.
You and Glannys reminded me that I have a few bottles missing from my Berdoues collection, including the two that you both mentioned. I have only seven and by now the count is probably at 12 or more in the Grand Cru line.
Seven is already quite a collection😃.
But I want them all 😁😁
https://youtu.be/YKbxzLyNJOY?feature=shared
I *knew* exactly what song this was going to be!
Omg!! Lillyjo, you crack me up!!!!
Had a brainwave – what about having Thunkin’ Thursdays?
I’m in 😂
YES!
👍🏻
Yes, please!
Brilliant!
It’s so nice to finally see the sun today, even if it’s temporary. I’m wearing C&E Almond lotion and a few swipes of the Oil Perfumery dupe of Lost Cherry. It’s kind of a nice cloud around me.
YAY for sunlight! 🌞🌞🌞
Robin, you smell great! Such a shame this perfume has been discontinued.
I am in Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt, haven’t worn it in ages. I don’t think it has any Caribbean ingredient, but maybe sea salt can get me some points 😄
Have a lovely day everyone.
It’s a great scent no matter if it is Caribbean or not. It certainly could be used on a beach.
I think it’s a shame too, but doubt it was ever a big seller.
I’m wearing AG Myrrhe Ardente Perfumed Body Cream today which is beautiful and smells the same as the spray perfume as far as I can recall. In addition, I can smell it for hours.
Today I’m paying bills, taking down Christmas lights, making a batch of burritos to freeze and going for a walk because the sun is out!
Is the AG Perfumed Body Cream moisturizing at all?
That’s a productive day! We did not take our tree down until yesterday…didn’t realize how lazy I would be if I got a fake tree!
I’ve joined pl67 in a summer perfume. I am wearing TF Orchid Soliel.
My Boss gifted me with a never used box of Wind Song dusting powder that he got from an estate sale. As long as I can remember Wind Song has come in that light green color. This one is pretty ornate in a cream box with black and gold. The puff is turquoise green. Does anyone know when this packaging came out? ( cm8?) I haven’t broken the paper seal but it smells wonderful.
That was nice of your boss!
It really is.
You smell great!
Thank you!
Wind Song was released in the 1950s if I am not mistaken but I remember seeing the dusting powder just as you described in my local Genovese Drug Store in the 70s. That’s quite a treasure! Enjoy it!
And you smell great 👍
I knew you would remember! I can’t picture it earlier than the 80’s packaging.
Wow, your boss! Is he married?! Asking for a friend.😂
Ha! He is.🤣
That is so nice of your boss! Was Wind Song something you’d mentioned to him specifically, or did he just know of your interest in perfume? Either way, that’s so lovely and thoughtful. And you smell fantastic!
He knows my interest in perfume and looks for me when he goes to the sales. It’s so super sweet of him.
Your Boss is a total gem! ✨💎
I have no scent memory of Wind Song, but I remember the ads for it.
I would buy the dusting powder for my grandmother. Along with Gloria Vanderbilt.
I’m off the CP today in Rhubarbe Ecarlate but I wanted to wear it so much…so I did.
As it should be !
Thanks to Robin, I’m CP compliant in Black Cashmere, which has a note of nutmeg. I will never forget touring the old nutmeg factory in Grenada. It hasn’t been in operation for years, but the scent is still strong! Not really a Caribbean scent, but it reminds me of being there.
We’re in the high 30’s today, wow. It’s so funny, but at the start of the season, I’m saying “I’m freezing!” at this temp, and now I’m saying, “It’s nice out!” Lol!
Break out the sandals!🌞
😄
“Having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave!”
☀️🏝️🥥👙🕶️🥵
We probably toured the same factory! They are growing nutmeg there now but I think still doing very little of the processing.
Yes, I remember you mentioning it some time ago. 😊 It would be a sight to see it in production again, all those little nutmegs rolling around everywhere, lol!
SOTD = 4160 Tuesdays The Big Smoke EDP
Smoky tarry woody amber and incense. It’s a tad bit acrid to my taste. Also, it seems that IG made changes to the way Posts are constructed so hopefully, you will see the usual format (yes I checked but you never know).
https://www.instagram.com/p/C2diR1gRpQ3/?igsh=aGs0aGk3N2N5NHdx
The Dance of the Dragon candle remains unlit. I did a sniff test and it smells very promising: minty sandalwood patchouli. I also just got a package from Estée Lauder with a gift of a red drawstring bag, festooned with a gold dragon. If it passes my visual test tomorrow, I will post it.
I probably should show a picture of it … will post later or tomorrow. Anyway, I went to Wegmans where I would just pick up what I need. I happened to pass by a shelf of prepared peaches and did a double-take because I was wondering if the savings were $3 due to its clearance category. 🤦🏻♀️ It was $0.03 cents. Why bother?
I always get so annoyed when I see something marked on sale in a store and it’s something like 30 cents off $5. 3 cents is a new one, though. Wegmans should be ashamed! lol
I’m excited to see the EL picture!
I hate when the “sale” price is the same as the regular price which you find out after you bought the sale priced item and then peel off the tag and find the regular price was exactly the same.🤔
Does the dragon candle have a flat bottom or is is concave?
Missing Wegmans! 🥲
The picture of the candle was gorgeous. Can hardly wait to hear what it smells like once to burn it.
… you burn it. Sorry.
Oh, Wegmans. Ours (as I’m sure I’ve mentioned here before, it is the smallest store in the chain) is enjoying its monopoly status — prices up, selection down, some items disappearing forever. In the past decade, we have lost our Tops, our independent grocer, and the standalone deli that succeeded the independent grocer. There is a Super WalMart (I know that’s not the correct name, but that is what we call it) a few miles out of town, but that’s it. Next nearest supermarket is about 18 miles away (another, much larger and fancier, Wegmans).
I love Dries Van Noten and often regret not buying it when it was available!
Today I’m wearing the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse dry oil, if that counts. It’s such a lovely fragrance to wear in cold weather! I want to try the actual perfume version.
Also, some thoughts on perfumes I tried at the Saks counter last weekend: I was really excited about trying DS&Durga Debaser based on the notes, but wasn’t as impressed in person – it didn’t smell like much to me. Fell in love with Le Labo Baie 19, which is apparently supposed to smell like petrichor and patchouli but I get an oddly creamy woody note, so I’m not sure if there’s just something wrong with my nose! If anyone has suggestions for fragrances that are similar to Baie 19, please let me know.
I also love Huile Prodigieuse, but found the perfume version too sweet for my tastes. It’s a related scent but not quite the same.
That teapot is adorable! But I have 2 very functional ones already. Still looking for the smaller one. It’s packed in a box here somewhere…
Teflon kitty has been adjusting to a new, rather fancy raw food. I’m still feeding her dry kibble and canned food in addition to the new stuff. I’d prefer to buy local if possible.
SOTD = yadda, yadda, yadda. Boyfriend Body Creme. I’ve used about half of what is left.
Does Teflon need the raw food for a special diet?
Not really. She does have some food sensitivities, so she’s been on a limited ingredient diet for several years.
You’d better stock up on that cream!
SOTD is Akro Bake again. I wouldn’t think of it in the Caribbean, but it does have rum in it.
Points then!
SOTD is Zoologist Seahorse. I do like this one. That Zoologist bottle artwork is just too cute, I am always overly tempted by the FB instead of the purse spray, which is certainly all I really need.
Their packaging really is wonderful.
