Zadig & Voltaire This is Really Her! & This is Really Him! ~ new fragrances

French ready-to-wear line Zadig & Voltaire has launched This is Really Her! and This is Really Him!, new flankers to 2016's This is Her! and This is Him! respectively.

This is Really Her! ~ A floral amber developed by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur, with pink pepper, basil, metallic rose, chestnut accord, labdanum, honey, patchouli and sandalwood. In 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum Intense.

This is Really Him! ~ A woody amber developed by perfumer Nathalie Lorson, with grapefruit, lemon, metallic orange blossom accord, palo santo and amber woods. In 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette Intense.

    Wow, I saw those chestnuts and thought, Yum! But what would a chestnut note smell like in a perfume? That might lean awfully gourmand.

      Tom Ford Orchid Soleil & L’Artisan Noir Exquis both have chestnut, if that helps.

        So does the whole Stronger with You line by Emporio Armani. The Absolutely, to my nose, is the most chestnut prominent.

    So the first two were lying?

    I look forward to “No, THIS One Is Really Her!” and “This One Is Really Him, I Swear!” in 2027, followed by the unisex “Throw The Others Away, This One Is Really You, Finally!” in 2030 or so.

        I’ve been curious about orange blossom lately and I don’t know about the metallic aspect but if it’s indolic at all, I’m game.
