A new opportunity in ultra-luxe beauty is unfolding. In 2024, premium brands will be exploring how to woo the wealthiest consumers through product innovations and retail experiences.
It is a trend that has already permeated hospitality and fashion. This year, Chanel unveiled two invitation-only boutiques for its top-tier clients in China, while Gucci’s new Salon concept, open in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo, has a minimum spend of £40,000.

Waiting with bated breath for my invitation. 😂
Yeah mine must have got lost in the mail.
I’m genuinely baffled at how that minimum spend is supposed to work. Do you go in and promise to spend that much? And what happens if you don’t find enough things that are to your taste to hit that minimum? Do they refuse to let you leave until you’ve bought enough? Or do you buy a pass for 40K, kind of like drink tickets at a two-drink-minimum bar, and go in and then just select stuff until you’re over the limit?
Clearly I do not think like a rich person, which is just as well for everyone. I wouldn’t be shopping at Gucci anyway.
Gucci is the last place I’d do that minimum spend at…maybe Hermès or Dollar General.🤣🤣✌🏻
Dollar General! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yes, inquiring minds want to know! I second all of these questions.
Or maybe it’s just that your previous spend has to total at least that?
I have no idea and I doubt I will ever need to know 😉
